Food was great. Full of flavor and The guacamole was delicious. Very upbeat sort of place. Nice setting on española way
Good Cuban restaurant with nice waiters.
my daughter loves cuban food and we all enjoyed our dinner. the staff was extremely accommodating. it is noisy and mainly outdoor dining but if you want a lively feel with plenty of people watching it is perfect.
Food was amazing and plentiful, waiter was super helpful, and the mojitos outstanding. A plate called la orquesta cubana has a little of their top three meats, plus rice, beans, maduros, and salad. The house special chicken with Cuban gravy is awesome. Don't get a pitcher of mojitos unless you have a large group and are going to pour the whole pitcher at once - they are best fresh and undiluted!
Great time, food was delicious, server was great even though they were packed. Great Cuban food. Will go back next time we are in South Beach.
Ropa Vieja, Black beans, and rice were just what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. I would return and recommend to a friend. Great for people watching outside on Espanola Way. Service was good. Make a reservation as there always seems to be people waiting to get in.
Great food! Great vibe!
Amazing service! Food was great. We went there for brunch and OMG those coquetas were delicious. For dessert, we tried guava cake and it was perfect
Nice atmosphere and great food. Lovely outdoor patio on Espanola Way
Mandatory service tip and resort fee. Slow and poor service. Food was fine.
Biggest issue was seating for two..on corner of pedestrian
Way and very busy traffic ..if eating here either sit inside or demand seating far away from Washington..down Espanola Way..really killed any ambiance sitting on that area too close to busy street
Great service ..very good food
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Sangria was fruity but seemed watered down.
Sat outside very crowded street corner. Food excellent service excellent
We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday @ Havana 1957 which was recommended to us! WE love Cuban food but thus was by far best Cuban restaurant we ever dined in! Loved it wish we lived in Florida id be there all the time lol. We need one in NJ :)
We sat outside on a beautiful day, highly recommended! The food was very good but I wouldn’t say amazing. I thought that the custom mojitos (I had the Guava and my wife had the Kiwi) both were delicious.
I do want to say that the service there was amazing! I don’t remember her name but our waitress was very knowledgeable, warm and entertaining. All in all, you should make it a stop.
Food and service was excellent!!! I would definitely go back and recommend to others. The only negative was I needed more table space, it was a bit cramped. I had the roasted chicken, beans and rice which was so tasty. Fresh fried plantains was so good. I was really pleased overall with my experience at Havana 1957. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful in explaining the different things on the menu. A must while in Miami...
Great Cuban dinner!
Food was authentic and tasty, as was the house sangria. However, it was frustrating to make a reservation and be told to sit at the bar with very little space and uncomfortable seating, just because I was there alone on a business trip. I should have lied about another person... I would have preferred a table, especially for the price of 2 drinks and dinner.
Definitely not worth the cost. Was overcharged and food was average. Had high hopes but didnt deliver.
Nothing special - but adequate - would not rush back
Average experience. Food was good. Service was terrible!!
Delicious food in a funky old Cuba ambiance. The water was very attentive. The shrimp with garlic was probably the best I have had. The other items were fine.
Everything was wonderful from the moment we were seated until we left. Our server Romel O was fantastic with recommends, etc. I would 100% return here and recommend my friends and family to come here. Not to mention Espinolla way is absolutely adorable! We were there on a Sunday night and it was hopping- Saturday the plaza must have been really jumping!
Unbelievably fun atmosphere, great drinks, and good food
Life really doesn't get much better than sitting outside with someone you love, drinking tasty mojitos together as the world walks by. That you get to enjoy some yummy food while you are doing it makes the experience all that much better.
Tasting a variety of dishes on a previous visit with a larger group taught us some of the high and low points of the menu. The Masitas de Puerco (fried cubed pork and onions) is delicious as is the Pan con Bistec. The latter is a delightful blend of textures and flavors as the steak plays off the tomatoes, tiny fries, and Cuban bread. We had these along with a perfectly fine Ensalada de Estacion and some OK shrimp cocktail. But the Tirasela Tu (a Cubano coffee poured over tiramisu) that finished our meal was staggeringly good. Our previous visit revealed that the 'specialty of the house' - roasted chicken - and the Tostones are both very bland and so we avoided them this time.
All in all, you come here more for the atmosphere and the drinks than for a fine dining experience. If you are OK with that you will be in no way disappointed.
Great restaurant/food, only thing I will say was the lack of seating for a party of 5 and how crammed we were with no where to move our plates or have leg room.
We’re from out of town and always have to come to this restaurant when in Miami. Great food, great service! Thanks!
Tasty food, great service, bustling but not in a bad way. Definitely worth a look. I'd recommend booking in advance to get a nice seat outside
The food was excellent and the service was exceptional! Truly appreciated our lovely waitress, Darling!
The service was excellent but the food did not have the flavor I have tasted in Cuban dishes from lesser known Cuban restaurants.
Very crowded inside, lots of seating outside. Service quick, waiter recommended the "special of the day" Chicken in gravy, black beans, rice and plantains. It was served almost immediately! It was tasty but nothing special, think it was what was already cooked!
Wonderful Cuban vibe and excellent food!
Met some friends who were staying on south beach from out of town. Great convenient location. Reasonably priced, good food. Sat outside -was great location and people watching. After dinner walked up Espanola way for some gelato.
We are here our first night in Miami. The food was great, the service was wonderful and the restaurant is super cute. The little street it’s on is lively and fun.
Food was good and authentic. Server was very attentive and patient. Reception was confrontational as they thought our reservation was at a different restaurant as the phone number for Havana 1957 - Espinola Way was actually for a different location for Havana 1957. The restaurant needs to update their numbers and addresses with Open Table to ensure they are correct for their respective restaurant locations. Once we identified the problem, the staff tried their best to be accommodating.
Food was good, but the portions were small. I felt cheated.
It was touristy and loud, but that’s what I expected and wanted on New Years Eve. Patio was great for people watching. I expected the food to be so-so but was happily surprised by how great it all was. We had croquettes, a sandwich, a chicken dish, and a steak and everyone was happy. And we are picky.
I really love this restaurant my favorite dish is the house specialty roasted chicken
Food wasn’t good, very expensive, and slow service. Stay away! Waste of money.
The sevice was below standard - the food ordinary - the place a rip-off. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
