This venue has a lot going for it - great food at an affordable price and nice ambiance. Unfortunately the waiters were not attentive and the service was extremely slow - especially the drink service. The food came out quickly once we finally got to place our order. Hoping that slow service is not the standard, we will give this venue another try some time in the future.
The cocktails menu has had some ingredient replacements which had not been updated to the printed menu. They had an appetizer in the menu, which was ordered and later on, when asked for the status of the order, we were notified that they had run out of it.
Everyone was pleasant, but our overall experience was disappointing since they ran out of the two items we were interested in getting even though we had called ahead to make sure they had it...
We had already ordered a pitcher of Sangria so we drank that and had their chicken soup with it. Both were good, but although the fruit was fresh, there was very little of it in the sangria. The chicken broth was full bodied and tasty.
I had a wonderful time at a brunch celebrating my uncles birthday. I was so impressed with the attention we received and the food was delicious.
Everything was great!
My server was very knowledgable and the food was great! I will be returning in the near future.
As a cuban I'm always looking for cuban restaurants that offer something more than just the basic stuff. Havana 1957, a reference to Cuba's golden era, does just that. There are great choices on the menu, the service is good, and the ambiance is well worth the trip. I found a great place to go to when I am back in Miami to visit. I see it as a step up from Sergio's, La Carreta, and Versailles, but that's just my opinion.
good restaurant to try if looking for something different in Pembroke Pines. this is the 2nd time we went to this restaurant in 2 weeks- brought different friends each time. Everyone loved it.
It's a little loud when the live music is playing- but hey, it's live music. Food is very good- drinks are very good. Definitely will go back again.
Went here on a Friday night. There was live music and the ambiance was nice. The good ...VERY GOOD!!!! We started with the Cuban Combo which included croquetas, papa rellenA, yuca, tamal, masitas de puerco and mariquitas. That was extremely good. The yuca comes with a cilantro dip that is to die for! Then my gf and I shared the vaca frita, which was extremely tasty. It was perfectly seasoned!
To end, we had their Très Leches as our dessert. Also very good! Would definitely go back!
Great addition to the Pines area. Classic Cuban cuisine, genuine decor, and reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and got our table right away, but the service was a bit slow. Only negative are the loud music from the restaurant next door and the need to valet park.
