A tribute to this wonderful distillated alcoholic beverage, with a colorful past that sprung from the cane plantations in Barbados and spread like wild fire in the Caribbean. It was once beset with such names as the "Kill Devil", as it was tipple only fit for the bottom class. Yet from the slums of the islands, rum had found its way to intertwine with the lives of diverse individuals that range from Hemingway to Capt. Henry Morgan, served as a daily ration to British limeys for over 300 years, fueled the birth of American Nation, and after prohibition spawned a rum/drink culture that now we know as Tiki. Flamboyant, colorful, yet genuine and down to earth. Let's raise our glass to Rum!!
2 Oz. serving. Ideal for mixing cocktails, white, silver, clear or crystal rums are generally without strong flavors. They're often aged for a minimal amount of time and frequently filtered to remove most, if not all color.

Similar to the AOC marks for champagne and cognac, the Appellation d'Origine Controlee for Martinique rhum agricole is a standard of production, aging and labeling. Rhum Agricole is also produced in Guadalupe and Mauritius.
2 Oz. serving. As rum mellows in barrel over time, it takes on amber or golden hues. These golden rums usually present a more flavorful profile than the white or clear rums. Gold rums are used to make cocktails in which a stronger flavor is desired. They are often aged several years or more and some coloring may be added to provide consistency.
2 Oz. serving. Many cocktails recipes call for dark-full flavored rums. Usually dark brown or reddish brown in color, these rich flavorful rums are frequently matured in barrels longer than gold rums and may contain extra dark coloring. Navy rums are often a blend of dark rums, traditionally from English colonies such as Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica and Bermuda. Atlantico Dark, Dominican Republic.
2 Oz. serving. The more sophisticated rums are designed to be enjoyed without being mixed in a cocktail, although some rum enthusiasts use them as premium ingredients in libation recipes. Many premium rums are served as one might serve a fine single malt scotch, neat or on the rocks or in a fine cognac snifter. They often contain statements of the age of the rums blended in the bottle. Abuelo 12 anos Gran Reserva, Panama 13

These rums tend to be more popular in the Caribbean Islands where locals prefer a stronger drink. Classic rum punches are often made with high proof rum mixed with tropical juices (and sometimes flavored rums and liqueurs) to deliver a "punch" to those that enjoy them.

2 Oz serving. Unique cane liquor made in Brazil is called Cachaça (ka-Sha-sa). Made exclusively from fresh sugar cane juice, cachaças are often categorized as artisanal (small batches made in pot stills, aged in native wooden barrels) and industrial (large volumes made in column stills, unaged and inexpensive). In Brazil artisanal cachaças are mostly enjoyed straight by connoisseurs, or made into premium cocktails, whereas most industrial cachaças are not age, being consumed in Caipirinhas by the masses.

(Not allowed for sale in the U.S.A.)Cuba has often been called "The Isle of Rum", due to a combination of world famous sugar cane, a favorable Caribbean climate, fertile soil and the unique know-how of Cuban "Maestro Roneros"( master rum makers). In 1830 a Spanish wine merchant emigrated from Catalonia to the city of Santiago, in the far east of Cuba. His name Don Facundo Bacardi y Maso. In February 1862 Bacardi y Compañia was established and set the standards for the new light spirit which quickly became popular in cocktails. The roof of Bacardi distillery was infested with fruit bats, so Don Facundo's wife adopted the animal as Bacardi's now famous lucky symbol. Many people at the time could not read but could easily recognize the bat symbol, which has since gone through many transformations to today's friendlier looking bat. After the revolution in 1959, Bacardi's Cuban Assets were seized by the state and Bacardi's great grandson fled the island taking with him the rights to the Bacardi name, where the trademarks were deposited for safety in Bahamas. The Cuban Government switched its rum strategy to the Havana Club name, founded in 1878 by another rum family, The Arechabalas, who had also fled the revolution. Havana Club became the main Cuban export brand, and the Cuban government and Bacardi Company embarked on a war of words and legal actions against one other, that is still being waged today. Because of political causes Cuban Rums are not allowed for sale in the United States of America. Famous Cuban Rum Brands:
Cuban sandwich and classic Mojitos are definitely a must in this restaurant !! Service is amazing !!
Outstanding food and incredible service. The entire staff was totally on-point.
Nice location, young service, not outstanding meal quality.
Made a same day reservation online, it was packed and they were able to seat (6)us within 10 mins. The MOJITO’s were great. I ordered the 1957 stuffed Plaintains (appetizer) and the ropa vieja meal (for the price$ the portions were average) but the food was delicious. The server was very attentive and personable. I would recommend this place, it was my first time there.
Main course came with the starter. We refused to get both at the same time. When the main course was delivered again everything was cold. Worst chicken I ever had.
Cheap and extremely cheerful
Service was very slow and spotty. Brought first dish 10 min before everything else. Didn’t bring appetizer until main courses. Too busy. Food not good. Avoid.
We had a very nice time as a family the dishes were delicious.
Good food but very poor service!! Our waiter hardly care for what we want or how we were throughout the dinner.
Should remove the self addition of gratuity because that will make the waiters courteous and take care of the diners better. Right now they hardly care even if there's water to drink on the table. It's only working just because the food is good!
Everything was perfect
