Every time I visit Miami I have to go to Havana 1957. I am from Wisconsin and we do not have Cuban restaurants. I live their food and always enjoy the music and host. Can’t wait till my next visit.
A wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. The food was excellent and plentiful. I would highly recommend Havana 1957.
food was good and well portioned, service missed us a few times but they were friendly and attentive when we did get them. Was a little more on the pricey side than I would have expected
Outstanding ambiance, food and service! Best place to eat “Cubano “ Portions enormous, delicious! Perfection! ¡Gracias !
Thanks a lot for your review. It's always great to hear a guest complimenting our Cuban sandwich.
Average mass produced food.
We regret the food was not as expected. We strive to offer food and service that are nothing short of excellent. We’re sorry this was not your impression.
Great atmosphere, delicious food great service , def will come back soon
Thank you for joining is and leaving your rating. We're pleased you enjoyed your service. Come back soon.
Food was okay but service was horrible. Overpriced for what you get and the music was blasting from a speaker next to our very cramped little table with uneven legs. The 18% tip was automatically added to all checks, even our party of two. Lots of places nearby to get Cuban food, I don’t recommend this place.
BethS. We apologize for your negative experience with the service. We feel we provide good value for the price and we regret to learn this is not your opinion. We also hope to have a new chance to turn your experience around in the near future.
The service was efficient and attentive.
Beware the LARGE mojito, the size of a fishbowl. Extensive menu. Would go back again
Thank you for joining us and leaving your rating, Elaine. We hope to have another chance to serve you again in the near future.
We loved eating at Havana 1957! We ordered an array of Cuban appetizers and ate them as our meal. With mojitos, of course! Also note that service charges are INCLUDED!
Thank you for joining us and leaving your rating. We're glad you enjoyed your meal and hope to welcome you again soon.
Excellent service and excellent food. I recommend the house speciality, chicken with rice and black beans👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for leaving your 5-star rating, Robert. We're glad you enjoyed your meal and can recommend us.
very expensive for average tasting food and beverage ($8 bottled beer!) ; wanted to experience Cuban-American cuisine; if you want that, don't go here
We’re sorry to learn you did not think the food or service was worth the price the price. Our prices are very competitive given the area and we feel we offer amazing cuban cuisine. We regret this was not your impression.
Great Cuban restaurant with very helpful and friendly waitstaff.
Thank you for your comments, LauraH. We're glad you enjoyed the service given by our staff. Come back soon.
Atmosphere can't be beat...frozen in time 1957 right down to the TV and radio, pics of Hemingway and Celia Cruz and dozens of other right up to the ceiling. I started with a Clasico Cuba Libre, my wife had a mojito, both the best. Next I tried El Ultimo Mojito...wow! Started dinner with a tamal en hoja, beautiful texture and great seasoning, had me scraping the banana leaf that it steamed in. Next a Cuban sandwich, almost a foot long and perfectly done. I had the lechon asado, came with rice and black beans and a side dish of yuca, which our server described as "Cuban potato", soft, creamy white and almost sweet and barely held together with the soft fibers. The pork was among the best I've had... with the skin and rendered fat lending their flavors and texture to the shredded meat. As a bonus, there was a large deep fried, crispy, salty piece of the skin, seasons with herbs and spices. The best. I could have eaten a platter of them. The interior is a riot of 1957s memorabilia in a small room, only about 7 tables. The zinc bar is right out of a Hemingway novel, with a half dozen 1950s ice cream parlor stools facing a wood back bar. A small sign advertised "Mojito Bar". Outside, the wide sidewalk was lined in both directions with large three sided cabanas that extended far beyond the restaurant frontage. Each held several tables, and there were many tall heaters to compensate for the 70 degree "chill" and drizzle. Cuban music added to the upbeat vibe and authenticity. Our order was taken by one of the two bartenders, who were non-stop making drinks. The only negative was that our drink orders were slow in coming. Otherwise the service was friendly and prompt. You can pick up some of their proprietary Cuban cigars if you're so inclined. Will definitely go there again the next time we're in MIA.
Many thanks for taking the trouble to share your review with us and the community. We're so glad everything during your visit was to your liking. We eagerly look forward to your next visit. Regards.
The meat I ordered was raw when I asked for it well done. I felt bad to send the food back because of the great service though.
Thank you for leaving your 5 star rating. Come back soon
We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and our service was outstanding. Melvin has great recommendations and took great care of us! If I am ever in Miami again, I will go back!
We eagerly look forward to your next visit. Thank you for giving us 5 stars.
Food very good but had to wait a bit before they sent waitress out
Well come back
Only problem we had was table we chose was close to the far street walk way where kids were skateboarding loudly
Thank you for joining us and leaving your comments, Garya. We look forward to your next visit.
Everything was good our waitress was also good. However, I wrote we had a birthday and they did not read any of the notes. also at the entry the lady who first attended to us was not very welcoming.
Thank you for your feedback Ivette. We will review this with our staff to prevent this from happening in the future.
The food was tasty and portions were generous. The cocktail was nothing special and overpriced. Server was attentive, made alternate menu selections and offered dessert and coffee. The restaurant was busy but we were not rushed through the meal.
Thank you for rating our restaurant with 5 stars, Erma. We hope to welcome you again soon.
Wonderful experience! Ask for Laurent - couldn’t have been sweeter and more attentive. We will be back!
We look forward to your next visit, KymC. Thank you for giving us 5 stars.
Good experience for Cuban dining
Another great evening at Havana 1957 on Lincoln Rd. Excellent service and food. I had the Havana 1957 signature chicken. My wife had the lechon asado. Both were perfectly prepared and plenty of leftovers. Finished the evening with the always delicious cafe cubano.
We loved it. Service was outstanding!
We thought the description of the free mojito offer was deceiving. It said free mojito with purchase of an entree. Apparently that offer is only for the person that made the reservation. That detail should be added.
Thank you for your feedback. We strive to be as clear as possible with available promotions. We will take your comments into consideration.
