Haute Quarter Grill Ratings and Reviews
Mark, our server, was great. He was witty with a great sense of humor. Food was outstanding, two of us got the filet special and it was cooked to perfection. My wife got the duck again and said it was wonderful. They were out of the prime rib so Mark suggested to my friend the ribeye with the Cajun sauce that goes with the prime rib, it was a great suggestion!
Cocktails and wine were great. Haute Quarter Grill is probably my favorite place in Anchorage
The entire meal was superb. Loved the Blue Tag salad. The filet was unbelievable tender. The asparagus grilled to perfection. The crème brulee the best in town. This was our first visit and we will happily return. The staff did not rush us at all, which was a delight considering it was Valentine's Day and there was probably a waiting list for those wanting to dine here. The only negative might be the tight quarters and the need to have a few more reasonably priced wines, but other than that, everything was terrific from start to finish. We'll definitely return plus bring out of town guests here.
Service was OUTSTANDING!!!! THE FOOD WAS DELIGHTFUL, but at the door someone I imagine the Manager rubbed me off the wrong way because our reservation was at 5pm we arrived at 5:11pm because of road conditions, and she said to us "we have another reservation at 6:30pm, so you need to be done by then"
I'm sorry, but if I. Having appetizers, drinks, entres, more drinks and a dessert. Do not expect me to rush. That's all.
We have eaten here once when it was in Eagle River. Wished they did not leave Eagle River. Came here for a special night out with the husband and had a great time. The atmosphere, drinks, food and service was perfect. We look forward to our next dining experience.
This is a wonderful restaurant that is hip and trendy! It offers a good range of food and drinks. It is a bit pricey, so I wouldn't necessarily go here all the time. However, they offer a great appetizers menu if you just want to grab some drinks and easy eats at the bar. I loved the atmosphere and our server was very attentive.
In town for just a few days. Impressed with the local food scene in Anchorage. But this spot became a favorite. I enjoyed a dish with Alaskan scallops and my husband had baby back ribs, which he said were the best he’d had anywhere!
Mark, our server, was knowledgeable, attentive and fun!
We’ll return here next time we’re in Anchorage!
This is the second time we have eaten here and were pleased with the experience both times. The atmosphere is pleasant, not too noisy, and the service from Kim was excellent. I had the New York Pepper Steak that was done to perfection and lived up to it's name, loaded with pepper. My wife had the Seafood platter and she said it was excellent. Our friends had the Fillet mignon, med rare, and said they were very tasty. Be ready for check on the high side, especially if you have a glass of wine or drink with dinner but no worse than other quality restaurants in town.
Natalie was an excellent server and very attentive. I had ahi tuna as an appetizer and prawns as entree. Good quality there. My wife had the cheese plate and salad. Both were very nice especially the cheese plate. We split a creme brûlée for dessert and my wife commented that it was creamier than Simons; the portion size was larger too than Simons.
This was my second visit and my husband’s first. Our Server was Mel. We had the Cheese Plate for the appetizer, very good! My husband had the Seafood Pasta, he loved it!! I had the Seafood Jambalaya, Although the flavors worked well together, I felt the Seafood Jambalaya was a bit on the soupy side. We’ll definitely visit again!
Great service and ambiance.
This was our first time there. It was great! Food was amazing, service was great. Loved the decor. The one thing we thought was a little out of place was the checkered board paper inserts in the bread basket, seemed out of place. A cloth napkin would have been perfect. We will definitely be back.
I would give the food 5 stars but my husband ordered the Mahi-mahi & it was over cooked. He isn’t one to complain or send back so he ate it. The salad I had which was a blue cheese with pears was the best I have ever had in a restaurant! They have a drink called the salty grandma which was delish!!
My Husband and I love "Filet Fridays" the quality is fabulous and serving sizes are larger than any filet in ANC. Try the wine paring, not something I would normally drink - but positively perfect with this steak. And the server was most gracious. Both my husband and I walked out commenting on "we enjoyed this meal more than we have any - lately"
The food was exquisite, but for a restaurant with "haute" in its name the service was a bit low rent. Frankly, we felt rushed. Our conversation was twice interrupted when different staff tried to take my dinner plate away while my wife was still eating. In any good "fine dining" restaurant no one would approach the table to clear until it appeared that we were both done. Similarly, the bill was slapped down on the table when the dessert was served. It should have at least waited until we consumed some of our dessert. If it weren't for these service lapses this restaurant would have earned the highest score.
As usual, everything about this restaurant was great. The food was good, service excellent, menu had plenty of options and we were able to have good conversation with our friends because the noise level was not crazy. We dine here several times a year, almost always in the winter. Probably about a half dozen times. Summer is crowded with tourists, so we avoid.
We made reservations for NYE dinner after reading several favorable reviews. While the appetizers, salads, and dessert were quite nice, two of our three entrees were WAY too salty! Is that really necessary? The overall experience was a bit disappointing, and Anchorage has so many other good local restaurant options that we will probably not be back to the Haute Quarter Grill.
