It actually was a Sun evening so the restaurant was pretty quiet. However, the staff was very attentive without hovering too much, the food was delicious, and prices very comparable to most upscale restaurants in Chicago. We were a little disappointed that the filet was no available on a Sun night, but the ribeye was delicious and presentation was lovely. We had a few special requests, and the server answered, "Our chef can make that for you." The wine was lovely but I wish they had red wine glasses so I could get more aeration into my red. Other than that, it was a lovely experience and we would definitely visit again!
Enjoyed the rooftop honey butter, Rolodex and grown up macs and cheese!!
The most disappointing place. We went here for Christmas night dinner buffet because it seemed reasonably priced and we were out of town and that was the biggest mistake. The buffet was extremely average and unforgettable with a very small selection of foods. I literally can't think of a single noteworthy item. The place was practically empty and the décor was dated and drab. Don't bother spending even $10 in this place. It's honestly not worth it

Particularly memorable we’re locally sourced Great Lakes white fish and over the top garlic French fries. We had fantastic service and an enjoyable meal.
This is the restaurant in the Chicago downtown Marriott. It is typical of business hotel restaurants, with basic uninspired food, but is convenient if you are at the hotel and want to sign for a meal on your account and not bother putting on a coat if it is cold outside, or getting hot and sticky if it is hot, i.e., you just need some expensive calories to get the eating over with and go to bed.
It was almost empty on a weekend night, likely because not too far away are other, better choices and because despite the abundance of personnel, service was inattentive and flat.
, e.g., why did I have a fifteen minute wait at reception for an empty restaurant when I had a reservation, and why did they try and seat me next to a family with kids when the rest of the place was empty.

The food was good, but service not so much. The restaurant was empty and the food took about a half hour to get. For some reason the Caesar salad was brought with the meal even though it obviously was supposed to come first. Then we asked for different dressing for the kids salad and we never got it. Rib-eye was delicious, kids pizza not so much.
While the food was delicious, the service was inattentive and scarce. For a prime location, this place should have been packed on a Saturday night. However, mediocre service is a death knell to any customer service establishment.
We didn't realize we were headed to a Marriott, but after that initial disappointment we decided to have breakfast anyway and it exceeded our expectations for a Marriott. And was a fine breakfast.

Better for a meeting where food and eating is not the main point of being at the restaurant. booked on opentable, but would not have gone if known it was in a hotel. not a place to hang out as the seating and tables look like they belong in a residence inn breakfast buffet. food was good but left and immediately had meal #2 at Portillos because portions were laughably small.
Waiter sucked. Didn't tell us about specials, took drink orders 3 different times instead whole table at once. Didn't know the difference between a dark beer and a light beer and argued with business client she was wrong. Brought food out at different times. We paid bill and the host came back and asked if we wanted desert or our check. Worst service I've ever had in Chicago area
Thanksgiving buffet (our third year in a row here) was again excellent.
My food came out cold. There weren't very many people in there and the service was Slow. The menu is not very large and the food is fair at best.
Arrived at 7pm to find the place empty. The menu was not the same one listed online. I ordered fish and chips, which was more batter than fish and chips were cold. My dinner date wanted vegetables but there were none on the menu. She ordered trout which had a very small serving of celery slaw.
We ate and left hungry. This wasn't worth the expense.
Kitchen was too busy. Server told us to have breakfast buffet instead. That is ridiculous. Food was mediocre at best. Staff in restaurant was very nice, but the fact the kitchen was too busy severely impacts my view of the restaurant.

This was my second time to dine at Harvest. I thought it was just just average, and for my dollar,s, I'd have expected more. The menu is very limited, and the food was just average. I love their idea of a snack wagon but the choices on it were odd too. Trout dip didn't sound appetizing to me. I like the former restaurant in this space much better, Sensi.

We went during lunch in the middle of the week so we were the only people dining. The food was very good and our server was very attentive and nice. Lunch time felt very casual, it's in the Marriott hotel.
Very relaxing pleasant lunch
Had a breakfast business meeting on a Monday morning. Some enjoyed the buffet option while others ordered off the menu. Service was excellent as was the food. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. We sat there for almost three hours and there was always coffee and water available. There was no effort to shoo us out after we finished eating. The noise level was low and we were able to easily hear each other and talk business.
The food was excellent!!! However, the service was lacking and for no reason as they were not packed!
I was expecting a wow experience, but it was just good. The food was good, the service was good, the restaurant ambience was good.
We had dinner Saturday night and the next day was Easter Sunday, since we were staying in the hotel thought we would give it another shot. Nothing with a wow factor. Just food. In fact, the service was not good. Our waiter didn't ask us to help ourselves to the buffet, brought our check early, and just wasn't attentive.
My husband & I were married that morning and, when I made the reservations I specifically stated this and was assured that something special would be done. When we arrived at the restaurant, the servers were pleasant but no acknowledgment of our marriage was made (versus Bandera's that remembered the occasion when we went for our lunch reservations). The food was bland and the portions were small for the cost.
It was a bit stale of an environment. But the service was very nice and the good was great.
This is a hidden gem. We chose it based on the menu and the farm to table theme. We were a little worried about going to a hotel restaurant and more worried when we were the only people in the restaurant, but we were very glad we stayed. The white fish and short rib dish was nothing short of perfection and the salads and desserts were great too! We will definitely be back!
Had breakfast at Harvest on New Year's morning following a stay in the Marriott hotel. It is definitely still hotel fare- buffet style is recommended and really is the best bet (but still costly at $25 per person). Server was quick with drinks and the open kitchen was nice- I could chat with the chef as he prepared my hot food and actually see it being cooked. You could also customize your food- add "toppings" to pancakes and waffles if you wanted, etc. Loved that the server also brought us to go cups for our coffee as we were finishing up. Again, it's hotel breakfast- but it is among the nicer versions of it that I have had.
The noise level was good for a party of two. They had interesting choices for meal selections but I found some to be rather more bland than they needed to be. The staff was attentive and friendly.
Had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Due to the Parade of Lights we made reservations to be sure to be able to eat dinner. Worked great arrived and sat right down at a nice quiet table. Asked about special we saw on line and waiter checked to verify it was being served. Thankfully it was on the choices for dinner. We stuck with that and had a wonderful quiet nice dinner Service was outstanding and delicious. Only suggestion would be to offer vegetables if someone is not able to eat potato when doing a special. Worked out well ordered a salad and hubby had my potatoes.
Other restaurants in the neighborhood had waiting lists as long as 3 hours on a recent Saturday night. This restaurant had many tables available. Food was quite acceptable, service very good, some great wines by the glass (La Crema!) A very surprising and happy accident!

A bit pricey but it was in the Marriott and the food is all locally sourced. We got the fish and chips as well as the seared salmon and some clam chowders. At one point I dropped some ketchup on my shirt and our server immediately offered soda water to get it out.
In my open table reservation, I made a request for a nice table by the window if possible, and noted that we were celebrating with a person who was receiving a special industry award. The hostess seated us at the perfect table, and at the end of the meal brought a lovely tiny dessert sampler with "Congratulations" written in chocolate for the table to share - perfect! The waitress went above and beyond, even running down to the "pub" for a beer that one guest requested as he had seen it there. The soup was delicious, but one entrée wasn't completely warmed through. I am confident they would have fixed it, but did not address it as the point was to celebrate the guest of honor. Service was fast and exceptionally friendly!

The food was very good, especially the in house made pasta. However the decor and ambiance was sorely lacking. I felt like I was in a sterile hotel breakfast bar versus a high end restaurant. Not an exciting scene whatsoever.
Tried Harvest on a TravelZoo deal. Went on a Saturday night and tried the Smoked Prime Rib special. It was so delicious, and this twist from the typical is what made this so tasty. The smoke was only penetrated about 1/4 inch in, so you get a nicely flavored, tender piece of prime.
Nice wine selection.

The food I was delicious! Service was just slow.we had 6 forty five reservations. They open at 6pm so it was not crowded.
