Harvest Oro Valley Ratings and Reviews
Their food is exceptional. The lamb shank had a middle eastern flavor combined with great root vegetables and potatoes. My wife spinach pasta was homemade and exceptional. Service was good this time. Sometimes the front runs a little slow. We go there for the food and was please the service was good.
From the appetizer menu on, this is a treat. Several kinds of tacos on appetizer menu to share. I almost always get fish tacos, but with group, we shared both the short rib and the smoked pork tacos - - both were excellent. Generous, meaty portions, tender and juicy. Will have to bring my spouse to try them! The fish specials are delicious and change all the time. Smoked salmon cobb salad is excellent!
Had a nice dinner with a friend I haven't seen for a while. We all agree that Harvest is wonderful. And on Tuesdays, they offer half-price on all bottles of wine! So even more wonderful.
Our server was attentive without being overbearing. She took her time telling us about the specials, so we could actually understand what was being offered.
Two of us enjoyed the fish tacos, one had the special potato leek soup, one inhaled the gnocchi chicken scallopini. A gentleman being seated near us actually stopped and asked what that dish was because it looked so good! And he ordered it.
No room for dessert sadly. Next time!
Harvest is one of our regular places that we count on to be good every time. Well, sometimes even the best have off nights. At least I hope it was a rare experience and not a sign of things to come...
We waited and waited for our order..and then the table next to us got their orders before us and they came in 15 minutes after us! So we waited...finally we got the servers attention. He said we are on delayed service because it is so busy!! What? and why did the table next to us get their order first???? Finally they bring our food and my husband's burger and fries were cold and it was medium rare not medium well. My medallions were cold too! (this dish so good it was still ok even cold) So it appears that our order must have been misplaced...hmmm. The server asked my husband what he should do? Should he speak to the manager??? He shouldn't have to ask, he should of just taken care of it!! My husband said we were just going to go so we needed boxes, another wait... He came back and took off the rare burger from our bill and he offered a free dessert. Nice, but I had to wait 15 minutes for a piece of Cheesecake!!
We normally like this restaurant but I feel they need to know when they have a bad night so they can hopefully improve so we can feel comfortable to return.
Haven’t visited Harvest for awhile! Certainly was pleased! Wonderful diverse menu....so much variety from which to chose. Apple cider sorbet awesome. Portions are a little too large. But patrons must have large appetites. Be nice if smaller portions would be an option!
First timer. Just moved here 2 weeks ago. We were driving home from furniture shopping and got hungry! Looked up burger places on line. Far more extensive menu, however. Wound up meeting some real nice folks, too!!! Creative drink list. Blueberry martinis and strawberry Mojitos w chimichurri burger. Heaven!!!
Definitely will become one of our favorite places to dine. The host was very gracious and congenial. Our waiter, Frank, was very friendly and personable, even though he was pretty slammed that late afternoon.
I always say this is my favorite restaurant, however I was so disappointed when the special of the evening came almost cold...and 3 of us had it...when you’re in a group no one likes to make a fuss, so we didn’t but when the fish should be nice and hot, we should have brought it to the attention of the server. As always, service was good, cocktails good, ambiance, too. Food: very disappointed.
Great, as always. Casual but not sloppy. Service there when needed but not intrusive. Food delish per usual. Ahi salad was just right, short ribs and lamb shank both tender and yummy. Bourbon (or maybe Brandy) Burger with sweet potato fries cooked as ordered and disappeared quickly. Since it was Tuesday it was half off on bottles of wine. We prefer the patio as it's quiet enough to carry on conversations.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Good neighborhood feel - not romantic, but ok for a date. Good for family and friends. Good work food allergies and willing to work with people with allergies. Good value and excellent service. Good dining inside or outside
We have always had great food experiences at Harvest and tonight's food was terrific. My only issue was that I reserved a table for 5 adults and they crammed us into a small four-top table. When I asked if we could move the two-top next to us so that we could be more comfortable, I was told no and no offer to move us to a bigger table. I had my elderly parents with us celebrating our anniversary and it was very cramped so we left as soon as we ate. Food was terrific, but the poor customer service left a bad taste on this visit.
We took my mom here for her 93rd birthday dinner. Harvest is her favorite restaurant. Service was excellent. Our wait person was extremely attentive and efficient. We all had hamburgers, which were very good. Mom and I had salad as a side...hubby had fries, which he said were crispy and tasty. Mom and I always go for a Dragoon IPA....so good! I had asked for a chocolate cake and ice cream to be delivered as a surprise at the end of the meal. They even went so far as to write Happy Birthday on the plate with chocolate sauce...such a nice touch! We all love Harvest...have never had a bad meal or inferior service here. Try the smoked salmon Cobb salad...you will be in heaven!
Normally, harvest does a really good job. We've never complained about the food or service; but on this occasion three out of the five meals were found lacking. Chicken was undercooked. Steak was cold. Even the broccoli steak was a little cold. Too bad. We like harvest a lot but won't be going back soon.
Harvest is always consistently good. There are many food choices and at least 1 special nightly. They now have a Taco menu which is reasonably priced and excellent (according to the 2 men sitting at the next table). I've had several of their fish specials and have not been disappointed. The fish is perfectly cooked and paired with tasty sauces and sides.
Although we visit Harvest every four to six weeks, this really was the first time everything wasn't perfect. For example, my white fish tacos had one or two tiny cubes of mango with little sauce and were wrapped in leaf lettuce rather than the usual crisp romaine. The salted caramel ice was mostly melted and served with a soup spoon. Yes, two large parties of six were in the dining room; but our server didn't seem overwhelmed although he didn't check back after our orders had been delivered. Hopefully, this experience was a one time glitch.
We used to love to dine at Harvest when we are in town visiting our family. This experience wasn't great. The tacos were just average, nothing special and the same goes for the dessert. Our friend ordered the gnocchi and it was very odd, with huge vegetables...not very good representation of what was listed on the menu. My hope is it was just an off night, but it makes me leery of trying it again.
