The Harvest on Hudson just outside Westchester in Hastings On Hudson is the flagship restaurant of the Fort Pond Bay Company. Harvest on Hudson accommodates large crowds with pleasant, attentive service and good food. We appreciated the sommelier's wine recommendation, a substitute for my husband's initial wine order. The cheese pizza we shared as an appetizer was excellent. Caci e pepe pasta entree was a bit bland. The rare tuna entree was fibrous but had good flavor and tasty vegetable accompaniments.
Unfortunately, for a well known restaurant that has received accolades. The past is no longer the present. Each cooked dish just misses the mark! Either over cooked or sitting under the hot lights to dry our the pasta. The cold appetizers were delicious as well as the cocktails. Main courses..Blah ! There must not be a chef in the kitchen, just a cook.
Try harder, please. we want to return to one of our favorite dining spots to admire the room and the water in the river.
We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. I requested a table by the window and that's what we received. When we ordered dessert it arrived and they wrote happy anniversary on the plate in chocolate. That was a nice little touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Location is spectacular. They were a little busy and understaffed for a Monday because it was unseasonably warm out. Ran out of rose, ran out of Côte de Rhone, ran out of rabbit. Waiter was pushy about kitchen closing at the end of lunch and had kind off a bad attitude. The frittata was really good and covered with a beautiful salad. Tuna carpaccio was very good too.
Love to sit on the patio, but I guess they didn't have enough service to accommodate the outside area because there was no one waiting but we were told it would be a 45 min wait.
Service was good, but we found that the food wasn't as tasty as it usually is. Cesar salad my son gave it a 👎, my arugula salad with prosciutto was on the salty side, I tried to fix it with squeezing a lot of lemon on it but didn't really help. Salmon tartar was just ok, missing flavor; shrimp cocktail wasn't good at all, seems the shrimps were prev frozen; tuna carpaccio I didn't like at all, my husband said its ok; linquini with clams was very good, my sons steak as well, Branzino was excellent, but my filet mignon was charred instead of well done, the waiter took it back to make a new one and like I imagined, the next one was medium; I m very surprised because I ve had the same here many times and it was always perfect. At the end of all this I had 1/2 the filet which they cooked well (back to the kitchen) and the rest my son took a few bites and left it.
For desert we ordered cheesecake my son enjoyed it.
Ordered dry cappuccino, got a regular(lots of milk), had to order an espresso to make it look and taste like a dark cappuccino.
After all this no one thought to compensate for all the mishaps

I want to come back, hope all will be fixed because I love the place, it's extremely enjoyable when everything is in order.
The appetizers (burrata and scallops) were delicious. The entrees were also very good, filet mignon and osco buco. The fingerling potatoes side was almost all peppers and onions. At first they sat us in a high traffic area and we asked to move. They obliged with no problem.
I was pleasantly surprised how great this restaurant is. I have had many poor service issues lately with different restaurants, so I happy to be at this top notch eatery. The food and the service were quite nice and we had a very pleasant evening. I would definitely recommend coming back for an occasion or even for a wonderful night out with friends or family.
Celebrating a birthday on a Thursday and was forced to endure excessively loud live music. The noise level was such that I couldn't even hold a conversation with my husband. There was nothing remotely enjoyable about the experience, which is in stark contrast to most experiences at Harvest (including my own).
Had the music been anything but the band playing, we would have enjoyed it. Jazz? Yes! Wedding band wannabe pop stars? No!
Upon sharing our concerns, we learned that the band is friends with the owner or one of the owners. We'll never be back, and I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone.
We dad a party of 4 celebrating a family milestone. Great experience. So,it's us service and exceeLlent food enjoyed tecCaesar salad, the seafood pasta special and the salmon all tasty and well prepared. It was Thursday night so there was also music
, which was nice will definitely return.
I was extremely pleased with the portions and the quality of the food for restaurant week. We had the Arancini which were nice and light, the salad, bruschetta and for the mains the flounder which was spectacular and the pork milanese which was a very large portion and nicely pounded super thin. The three desserts of chocolate semifreddo, vanilla pannacotta and tiramisu were all well executed and presented beautifully. Perfect ladies lunch and the price tag can't be beat!
Always a great place for dinner.
Food and service is always good and the tables are set apart because the Restraunt is large so you can actually talk at your table without others listening in.
The view and the lighting is fantastic.
Go and enjoy this Hudson Side beauty.
A few of us had the pleasure of dining at Harvest for Restaurant week and enjoyed every dish served.
The menu had a wonderful selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts and our drinks and wine were excellent as well.
The value of our 3 course meals were exceptional.
For many years, family and friends have consistently enjoyed our dining experiences at Harvest and look forward to many more!
We were there for restaurant week. The lunch was delicious and the view exceptional.
Be sure to make a reservation.
If possible, visit in the summer for outside seating and a beautiful view of the Hudson. Lunch and dinner is a little price

I had a fantastic evening at Harvest on Hudson during the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. The lighting and ambiance was very romantic and perfect for a special occasion and date night. I got the beef stew while my boyfriend got the bruschetta, which was devoured in .5 seconds. For our entrees I got the rigatoni Bolognese which was to die for, and my date got the prime rib which was also gone in .5 seconds. Absolutely scrumptious. For dessert I got the Harvest Tiramisu which was overall good, but the lady fingers were a bit dry. My boyfriend got the blood orange gelato which was soooooo good. It was a perfect evening, thank you!
