Since its opening in March 2011 Harvest has been wowing customers with its creative New American Fare and its attentive, friendly service. I have eaten there twice. I really liked it and suggested it to my friends. We went to celebrate their anniversary. Half our food was good the other half less than fair. When I was there the last time it was for my friends birthday. They brought dessert to the table. We said with booking the reservation that it was for an anniversary. They never brought dessert. We had to ask for bread from another waiter. He was no where to be found. The service was really bad. Should it be that different between a Saturday night and during the week?
Our BookClub party of 10 met to celebrate 23 years of monthly meetings. Each year we choose 12 books for the following years meetings. We are each assigned a month to host the meeting for the coming year but we dine out in December, which is when we choose our next year's books. This was our first meeting at Harvest and the consensus was unanimous: Great Food - something for everyone! Wonderful Service - attentive and knowledgeable! Welcoming Ambience - cozy and comfortable!
Chris was our waiter and he was great. Had the halibut cheeks special of the evening. This was fantastic. Took leftovers home for next evening and was fantastic reheated!. Love the food and service. We were there on the early side so it was quiet. Nice place for a date night or celebration.
We expected a great meal based on some of the reviews but that was not the case. Service was definitely lacking and the food was just OK at best. My wife ordered the fish special which was a Parmesan crusted cod and her fish arrived broken into several pieces on the plate. It clearly fell apart during preparation or plating and they could care less about redoing it and giving her a complete filet. Would not recommend this restaurant.
This is the third or fourth visit to Harvest. It was great as usual. The baby kale salad I had was great as was the butternut squash ravioli. My four friends also loved their meals! Not somewhere I could afford to go all the time but it is worth it for a night out with a wonderful atmosphere and great food!
We arrived a little late for our 8:00 reservation and we were never rushed. The oysters and shishitos peppers were very tasty. The feature swordfish was amazing as was the hanger steak. Great use of seasonal ingredients. Great bourbon selection. The bread pudding dessert is a must try. Our service was spot on. We will be back!
Another enjoyable evening at Harvest. Service always great. Food VERY GOOD with local seasonal ingredients. Occasionally run out of specials but was able to procure the last one this evening. They have outside tables but never seem to encourage outside dining. Feel like a few heaters would span late afternoon into evening comfort for outside dining.
Another wonderful dinner at Harvest. Harvest always has great fish & this night didn't disappoint. The Carolina tilefish with chickpea humus & blood orange vinaigrette was amazing. As was the sea bass with grits & garlic jus. Our server, Robert was very good & is always able to offer suggestions. The peach pierogi dessert was fabulous!
