All three of us very much enjoyed the tasting menu. The scallop was nicely browned on the outside and delicious on the inside. My son thought the beef was extremely tasty. My husband had the duck. It was cooked well and was tender. However it needed a stronge rflavored sauce to accompany it. How about a dark cherry sauce?
We loved the pairings with the food. Would have liked to see what we were drinking at the time we were drinking it (a small piece of paper or something to go with the food).
The price was outrageous for the amount and quality of food received. They make all parties at the table do the tasting menu, even if only one person wants to and so this forces you into spending much more money than anticipated. Additionally, the quality of at least 2 of the courses was marginal at best. For a $200 meal (only 2 drinks total), I would have expected to walk out much fuller and to appreciate every bite of food. The service was wonderful however.
Reunion with friends
Hadn’t been back to this restaurant in a year or more. Has always begun good but even better now. Food was beautifully prepared and presented, service was great a more formal than usual for a small bistro. Overall exceeded expectations. Going to come back with my family and friends shortly.
Entrée selection too limited.
High price for starters of size of portions.
You have become one of my new favorites in town. I first fell for your Lobster bisque in February and have already marked my calendar for 2020 to be sure I get to you next year. Love the changing menu, the white table cloth, and the small plate presentation, and the French food influence. We will be back!
This was the first we were disappointed after eating at Postmark. The drinks and service were good. However, the food was not. The bread box was simple baguette not the variety basket we have received in past visits. Coulotte Steak was very tough and served cold. Chocolate mousse dessert was also disappointing because the granola bar pieces were really hard and it tasted more like whipped cream than chocolate mousse.
Postmark has one of the most inventive menus in Cincinnati. The service is excellent and the wine list plentiful. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Overall our experience at Postmark was only fair. The selections are limited and the portions are small. What you do get to eat is tasty enough but the prices are high. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to a friend.
This place is super fine dining. Portions were perfect size, unusual and excellently prepared. Very nice decor and wine room. Perfect crowd for a Wednesday night for us. The service was good and attentive but a bit labored. Parking can be a challenge, but they do offer valet parking for $7 which gives you options. We will be back tell our friends about this Clifton gem.
It's an education in French cuisine. Limited menu.. Good service.
It's really expensive, and the expectation that the table would order the 4 course menu ($75 per person not including wine) wasn't clear. Our table wanted less, and one of our party is gluten free - so that wouldn't have been a option anyway. The appetizer/small plates were very small. Two of them did not make for a dinner.
Our waiter was a bit snotty, and didn't get our order right anyway. The duck breast was cold and had to be sent back.
Really it was a disappointment.
Portions were way too small for price. Pasta dish (Caccio y Pepe) for $12 was only 3 bites. Halibut entree also small unless you have some appetizers prior. Flavors good. Preparation good. Value disappointing
Food is excellent, just don’t go there if you have somewhere to be.
Excellent creative food complements one of the best wine lists in the region. Lovely atmosphere ; not too noisy. All in all a great dining experience!
Food & Service was fab can’t wait to go back!
First time there and it was delightful. Looking forward to going back!
Great food and service!
WE had a great time at Postmark. The food is great and inventive. The service is impeccable. The wonderful Sybilka is a ray of sunshine. Everyone should give Postmark a try. You will not be disappointed!
We liked the food but the service was lacking. It was 10 minutes before our waiter came over. 10 minutes to get bottled water. He did not explain the items on the side of the menu which had no description or price. It took an hour to get our entrees. May not return
The food and presentation were excellent. I know it is not the restaurant's fault/responsibility but many people did not care how loud they talked. What happened to the times when people went out to dine and not just eat? Go to Frisch's if you want to eat. Go to Postmark if you wish to dine, converse and enjoy the food and atmosphere.
Everything was very good with exception of a very slow kitchen. It took 45 minutes for the entrees to come out after we had a starter and a salad. The waitress was excellent and was very appolegetic about the slow service.
From Dayton area and we when we approached the restaurant we were Surprised it was Harvest. We ate at Harvest twice and loved both visits - Postmark was even better! Great atmosphere, super service, and excellent food — made sense when we discover same owners as Red Feather. Another feather in their cap - make this one gold!
Terrific dinner as always. This restaurant is really underrated in my opinion. The offerings are perfect for foodies. They brought us complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. I just highly recommend this small neighborhood gem.
Our waiter Joe was a perfect young gentleman.
Went for Easter Brunch. Was delicious. Always nice service.
Postmark is a nice, small restaurant that is particularly great as a pre-show dinner before the Ludlow Garage. We've been here many times and so know what to expect. The menu and portions are fairly small and the entrees are relatively pricey, but we had an appetizer, two starters, and two seconds and enjoyed the meal. The arrival of the "truffles to go box" was the perfect finish.
My only complaint is the table for two located between the front door, bar and bathroom. We asked to sit elsewhere and were accommodated. That table is just too much in the middle of the action to be a pleasant place to spend 1 1/2 hours.
I had not been to Postmark for 6 months and was pleased with the new wine selection and the new menu items. Every dish was prepared perfectly and my guests were delighted. I will go again.
The service was fantastic and I would like to especially applaud David for the phenomenal food he prepared. The whole experience was very amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Pricey without enough “unique” or special touches. Food was good but did not blow us away. Not a great value for money
We went to Postmark to celebrate a birthday and indicated so on our reservation. We were seated on time, but at a table directly to the right of the door. Frankly, given how expensive the menu is, this table shouldn't exist. It felt like an afterthought and an attempt to squeeze in every last patron for every last buck. While no one actually hit my chair, I felt like I might be toppled over the whole evening, not to mention the lack of ambiance being next to a doorway leading to another dining room, and the bathrooms.
Our server was nice and seemed to know the menu, but unfortunately it took her an awfully long time to do anything. Neither a cocktail menu nor a wine list were provided when we were seated so that added another 10 minutes of wait time for our server to provide those. All in all we didn't receive our cocktails until 50 minutes after being seated-- despite having ordered them as soon as our server asked. Timing was just off. When we tried to order apps or "introduction" our server informed us that we needed to order everything at once in order to be coursed appropriately. A little annoying, but okay, understandable. We did that and then our second and third paragraph items arrived together anyways.
All in all I believe our meal took 2.5 hours, and had we been seated at a better table, and had cocktails flowing the whole time we mightn't have noticed how slow everything seemed to be going. But as it was, it was a disappointing birthday dinner, with no recognition of any kind to indicate a celebration. The food was good, but other than the pork belly introduction dish, nothing exceptional, small portions, which I'm usually a fan of, but when the tuna tartar came out in an actual tuna canister that wasn't even half full and cost $16.. well... even I was put off. In conclusion, if you want to feel like you've wasted a date night and your money, go here. Otherwise, I'd suggest avoiding it, sadly the food is not worth the rest.
this restaurant is owned by same individual/group that owns the Red Feather on Madison Street in Oakley.
This was our first time to Postmark and enjoyed everything! Will be back and will recommend
Great meal ruined by miserable experience. Kitchen was ridiculously slow. 30 min between courses coming out. Very disappointed.
The food quality and service was fantastic. While it was a little expensive, I still can’t wait to go back.
The food was wonderful however I would be uncomfortable recommending the restaurant because it is very expensive
The wine room was very nice for a date night. I would say this is more of a fine dining/special occasion restaurant with the limited menu. Small plates or paragraphs as the menu calls them.
Food was very good...however for the area extremely overpriced.
Just seemed like no one knew how to time anything at all. Waited for 15-20 just to get a drink after it was ordered. Not unfixable, just need owners to be present there to see what's actually happening. Seemed like all tables were experiencing the same frustration that night.
