Harvest Beat is our favorite vegan restaurant in Seattle! The attention to detail, delicious and creative courses, and the ambiance is outstanding. Sitting at the chef's table is a must!
This is as good or better than any of the most several celebrated vegan restaurants in this country (at least the ones that I've been to, which I think include the usual suspects). The menu changes frequently, but the rich and surprising and often contrasting flavors, the variety of textures, the picked-this-day freshness of the ingredients, the vegan creaminess, are constants. The staff is friendly, knowledge and attentive. Visits to the open kitchen are encouraged and fun. A sense of community and shared purpose (is this going a bit overboard) among the diners has been palpable. It is an experience as much as a meal and the meal is as delicious as it gets. And although it is not inexpensive, it is a terrific value. (And a tip: two people can share the wine pairing, which comes to roughly a glass and a half of wine each.)
this was our second time going to Harvest Beat. Delicious.
Beautifully presented, fresh, unusual vegan food. Lovely variations of textures and tastes.
Great experience and felt great afterward, as well! Since everything is seasonal I think some times of year are tougher than others with a vegan tasting menu- I would like to come back in the spring and summer, too!
This was our third visit to Harvest Beat, and it just gets better and better. The food is always spectacular, but this time we got to sit at the bar. Watching the plating process was such fun, and the friendliness of the two chefs working at that spot was a delight and very educational as they answered all our questions across the bar where we sat. We pan on returning every month or so to get the feel for the changing seasons and how their food shifts with the availability
of foraging and small local farms.
VERY expensive, but over the top food! whether you are an omnivore or a herbivore you will love this vegetarian food!
Amazing 5 course vegan .. creative dishes and super fresh ingredients! Great concept and execution. Look forward to going back!
Excellent. One of the best Vegan restaurants on the west coast. I know, because I travel ALOT, and I'm always looking! Can't wait to go back on my next visit in Seattle.
This is my second time dining here. The food is amazing!
Love the fixed menu and variety of local ingredients. Everything was fresh and flavorful with unique blends of ingredients. The ambiance was ok. I wouldn't say it's super intimate as the tables are quite close together but the food and experience of a fixed fresh vegan menu made it worth it. Seeing the chef put together the food was a fun experience and the presentation was spot on. Will visit again.
2/2 - amazing experiences! Can’t wait to go back
It was a very engaging dining experience. Will definitely look to do it again sometime soon!
Our meal was perfect. So fresh and paired perfectly with the wine selection.
Harvest Beat is our favorite special occasion restaurant hands down - so much so that we actually got engaged here! With the menu rotating every 3 weeks, you can't go wrong by coming here a few times a year to experience what local harvest has to offer. The flavor combinations prepared by the chefs are out of this world - and nothing that you've ever had before. We usually get a wine pairing but they also have a non-alcoholic pairing that is equally intriguing. It's obvious that there is passion for vegan cuisine behind every single person that works there - and it shows. We always feel at home here and we can't wait to come back!
Awesome! We went for my husband’s birthday...it was a wonderful meal!
This place is just amazing. Never will you have the same dish there, or anywhere!!! Once in a lifetime meals, menu changes every 3 weeks. All locally farms, and what's in season!!!
Favorite restaurant in and around Seattle. Love the open kitchen.
Can be more cozy or more social, depending on where you sit.
You may request / specify at time of your reservation.
Menu changes every few weeks.
Sure fire winner every time.
This was a great place to go for dinner. It was fun and the food was amazing. Everyone arrives at 7:00 PM. They take you drink orders then tell you about the days menu. Five course vegan meal made from locally sourced fresh ingredients. We choose the non-alcoholic drink pairing and were very glad we did. I will definitely be back for another menu as it changes every 3 weeks.
We had an all-around lovely experience! The staff were exceptionally and sincerely friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed. The chef’s introduction was heartfelt and full of gratitude. And the food was beautiful, unique, flavorful and delicious! We will be back!
Excellent. Delicious as always. The wine parings were excellent too.
We love Harvest Beat. It's great for anniversary dinners, thanksgiving feasts, and birthday parties. Service is great and food is amazing. Who knew you could do so much with a cashew nut?
My wife and I both wholeheartedly agree, this is the best meal we've ever had. The creativity of how the ingredients are used, as well as their excellent presentation makes it well worth it. The whole dining crew was extremely friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be returning, it was a great way to celebrate a birthday!
Admittedly, my wife and I are HUGE fans of Harvest Beat and can only bow in admiration to Chef Joe and the HB team. This visit was spectacular. Creativity and commitment to unique and pleasing flavor combinations exceeded expectations. Well done, team!!!!
Phenomenal vegan food!
Harvest Beat is one of my favorite places to go. Has become a regular birthday event for myself. Highly recommend this place
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we absolutely loved it. Everything was so beautifully done and for a non-vegan person, I found the food to be the best I've ever had. Vegan or not, this food is simply the best and the chef put his heart into each dish.
I have dined at Harvest Beat 7 times. Of those meals, 4 are in my top ten dining experiences EVER, putting this restaurant in a World Class category based on my global dining experience. And that’s without considering its 100% plant-based with strong emphasis on local, seasonal, farmed and foraged approach. Highly recommend.
A wonderful food experience--great staff, service, amazingly creative courses, opportunity to be in the kitchen, very informative presentation of where ingredients are sourced. One of the best dinners we have ever had.
Creative, interesting dishes and delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairings. The only downside is that the main course was a very spicy lasagna that gave my date and me stomachaches. The spice was overpowering the other flavors in the dish, which would be great without so much pepper. I hesitate to come back because of that.
Such inspired cuisine! We love bringing new people to this treasured spot.
The chef came out and went through the menu and gave a brief snapshot of where the items came from and who the farmers were. The food was incredible, and the wine pairings were excellent!
Repeated visits to Harvest Beat don't disappoint. The food is delicious and creative. It's amazing what they can create using only veggies. The staff has always been friendly and warm.
It's always a treat and a pleasure to return.
That entire experience was beautiful. Especially loved the introduction from the chef. He rang a gong to explain the entire menu while beginning with some tasty gratitude for the farmers and for us. That’s whats up. Very much appreciated.
It was a big party of flavors in my mouth!!
Some of the best food I've ever eaten. It is a vegan restaurant, I am not a vegan, anyone would love this food. There was so much love and passion in each dish.
The only drawbacks to the restaurant were subpar furniture (my chair was actually uncomfortable and my legs would not fit under the table) which is a pretty big deal for a 2+ hour tasting, and low quality speaker system piping music through the place. That being said I went for the food and it was spectacular. Also a very good value. I was really full by the end.
With some upgrades to their facilities it will be a complete 5 stars.
Fantastic food, and sitting at the chef counter was the best!
Easily one of our top 5!
On a recent return visit to beautiful Seattle, we were excited to finally be able to try this sweet and homey restaurant. An experience similar to that of Alice Waters’ Chez Panesse in Berkeley but vegan 🌱. Delicious and inventive food made from local organ ingredients. One seating, chef’s choice five-course menu served over the course of a relaxing and languid evening. The menu changes every three weeks , so you can return every month for something delicious and special. We chose the optional wine pairing, which raises the final bill quite a bit, but no more than the choice of a single bottle of fine wine in a nice restaurant. A lovely experience and a terrific meal served by people who truly care. Highly recommended
My wife and I are semi-regulars now. Harvest Beat is one of the finest dining experiences one can have. While my wife and I and Harvest Beat are Vegan, we have introduced the restaurant to a number of non-Vegan friends and they were in awe of Chef Joe’s creations. Very highly recommended!!!!
