It was one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. All local ingredients. 5 course meal.

A bit disappointing. Five minute description from our yakety yak server on the filtered water was unnecessary as was the chef’s verbatim recital of the menu. (From what we could actually hear!) Boring! He treated us like it was our first time eating organic micro greens. I also didn’t realize it was a group sitting. Felt like we were at a commune camp of some sort. I think diners are sophisticated enough at this time to let the food speak for itself. The food was good but on the bland side.

I took my friend here for her birthday on Saturday night! She is vegan and I am not so I was excited to experience this with her. We were both so impressed with the entire experience. We walked in and got to choose where we would like to sit (we opted for the bar so we could watch the food being prepared). We were greeted by the chefs and immediately felt welcome. Before service started the head chef spoke to the entire restaurant and told us about the ingredients and that nights menu (it changes every 3 weeks). Everything was creative and amazing! I would definitely go back, though for me it is a little pricey (worth it) for a normal evening.

A truly unique and delightful experience. There is only one seating and a fixed strictly vegan menu. It is located in a neighborhood just outside downtown Seattle, near the U of Wash campus. The building is a storefront in a strip of various establishments but the interior is rustic and cozy. The staff is very friendly and the chef gives a whole presentation about each dish. My husband absolutely loved everything. I am admittedly a bit pickier but found almost everything delicious (I'm not a huge mushroom fan and there were a couple of mushroom-centered courses). Really good vegan restaurants (ones that don't just phone it in with some risotto and fake meat junk) are surprisingly hard to find. This one is a definite gem!

My only complaint was while I was sitting outside they were fumes of propane or exhaust of some kind that would waft through the air occasionally. It definitely dampened the whole experience. However we chose to sit outside, so I don’t really find the restaurant at fault for this. Food and service were absolutely outstanding and we will visit again!

Harvest Beat always delivers a fantastic vegan feast. Sit at the bar watching the kitchen if you can - Joe and Marlin are really fantastic in engaging with guests and offering insights into the night’s dishes and ingredients.

The service was fantastic.
The food, all vegan, YEA!, was outstanding. Each course and wine pairing was better than the last.
We loved that the head chef came out to tell us about the restaurant and encouraged us to come into the kitchen to hear him talk about each ingredient hand picked for our meal. We are from Texas and we will definitely be back as soon as possible!

We always leave full and happy from Harvest Beat! The seasonal menus are fantastic and the food is creative and fancy without being pretentious. They create a full dining experience where they read the menu and explain not only what everything is, but also where it comes from. It’s a great place to celebrate a special occasion too. Highly recommended!

The best food in Seattle, period. The cooks prepare each dish meticulously and blend textures and flavors masterfully. The wait staff is attentive and personable, and the ambience is lovely.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Anyone who loves food would love this restaurant! The dishes are very well thought through and executed and the pairings are fantastic. We were able to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen prepare each course and chat with the chefs, which was an added treat. Whenever we find ourselves back in Seattle, we well certainly be back

Normally we love our meal at Harvest Beat. This time, we were a bit disappointed with the courses, which are usually more flavorful, innovative, and filling. The morels were bland as was the filling in them, and the dessert was a bit novice. The other courses were delicious, but a little underwhelming for the price point and our usual expectation.

The owner/host was so lovely and accommodating, and the several courses —all vegan — were elegantly presented, chock-full of lively flavors and textures, and delightfully healthy.

This is our favorite restaurant in Seattle- even for the one person in our party that is not vegan. The service is always excellent. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. The food is ridiculously creative and is unbelievably good. We have allergies and we let them know ahead of time and it is never a problem. The world would be a better place if we had more restaurants like HB and I’m so grateful it’s in our beautiful city. We skip dining out at other restaurants to have an unforgettable meal here every three weeks or so when the new menu comes out. It’s worth every penny. Thank you for everything you do!

Harvest beat is my favorite restaurant in Seattle, and one of my favorite fine dining vegan restaurants in general. The ambiance is not stuffy but rather charming and inviting. The service is so friendly and the food is beyond incredible!

This was the best vegan gastronomic experience we have ever had and was truly an exceptional experience. Each bite is a burst of flavor explosion and you will be introduced to a different level of euphoria and happiness; it reflects the time invested to create these wonderful dishes. A very well thought out menu and drink pairing.

Their mission statement is the icing on the cake...I would rather spend my money here than any other restaurant. Well worth the time and the trek.

Everything was delicious and we ate many meals/ingredients that we had never even heard of before. I got the wine pairing and my partner got the elixers and both were great and went well with the food. Also, the mineralized water is so good and a nice plus. We went on vacation but definitely will go back if we are back in town sometime.

We had an amazing meal and experience. We are new to eating vegan and wanted somewhere special for our 40th anniversary, The food was really, really good. The staff was attentive but not hovering over us. When I asked what was in certain things, the sous chef came out (the chef was off) after dessert and explained to me how to make some of the items! We will definitely be back.

The best meal I have had in more than 2 years! Fresh, creative, elegant, and delightful! The menu changes every 3 weeks based on produce availability and micro-seasons. Everything was so delicious, the staff was lovely and caring, and portions were a good size. My non-vegan partner said he would recommend it to other non-vegans! This was a special, romantic meal for my birthday. Excellent wine list- they have a pairing menu but I picked a bottle instead. You will not regret visiting Harvest Beat! I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Each of our courses was fantastic!! We were completely stuffed because we didn’t want to waste a bite. I don’t know if every night is gluten free, but ours was which made the meal even more brilliant. The Chef explained each dish and detailed the local ingredients. Definitely recommend experiencing this restaurant to any foodie...whether carnivore or plant based (I was listening in to the non-vegan table next to us rave after each dish.)

Took the vegan nephew and we had a fine time! As a long-time vegetarian (now lapsed) I was impressed with the flavors and textures for the most part. The 'gnocchi' were very sadly distressed but we still ate everything on the plate. Other dishes had highs and lows, including overly sweet sweets and overly sour acids throughout the meal. Still, the menu was creative and practiced. I had been warned that the chef liked to do the tedious routine of reading the menu aloud in advance, so it was not a surprise, but that's all he did - read the menu. I would have preferred the long-time tradition of Jerry Trautwein (Herbfarm) or Dustin Ronspies (Art of the Table) when they used to describe the foragers from whom ingredients were sourced and explain how/why flavors were chosen to combine in the dishes (all the more since a printed copy of the menu was already on every tabletop). Wine pairings were ok, not exceptional, and pours were stinting. This is not cheap dining ($100 per person with wines) but worth it as an experience.

Wonderful vegan food locally sourced. Great place to spend time with an event. I enjoyed the first few rounds the most. Similar tastes seem to creep in with the later rounds. Unfortunately, I was taken aback with sticker shock when I got the bill. We had the recommended rounds of accompanying beverages. That drove up the price. Then tax and tip add more. It's a great place but I will not be able to afford going back unless they offer other options than their preset menu and 1 time seating. Tapas or soup and salad with a glass of wine would be great.

No words can possibly describe our experience at Harvest Beat. The food was something we have never had before. Five courses over two hours with each course paired with a drink (we went for the non-alcoholic option) . Drinks were very good, innovative and had a kick to it. Food was amazing with each course a delight in itself.

This is such a great restaurant. Love the traditional concept of a 5 course experience, but modernized with totally vegan and gluten free offerings. The food changes daily, so can’t recommend a particular dish, but all of the items we had were so delicious. The wine pairings were right on and well chosen. Service great, ambiance is nothing special and it’s noisy, so not the best place for a quiet romantic dinner. More for a fun date or night out with a group of friends. Can’t wait to come back here!

Harvest Beat was a phenomenal dining experience - one I'll never forget! The evening started with visiting the restaurant's kitchen to hear directly from the chef his vision for the restaurant and meal. Each course is served at the same time. The food was creative, seasonal and delicious!

Despite being five courses, they are pretty large! I'd recommend keeping your meals for the rest of the day pretty light.

This is definitely a special occasion restaurant, and one I recommend without hesitation.
