Food was just ok and nothing special considering the price. The server was very nice but not knowledgeable about the menu.
The Father’s Day meal we had was excellent: chicken and waffles, lobster Cobb salad, And BLT-A. Great service and wonderful view.
We had a lovely Father’s Day brunch lunch. The food was delicious and our seating comfortable and pleasant.
It’s the bedt
I don’t know where to begin? We ordered drinks at bar, long delay. Seated ordered appetizers, took over an hour. Server was very nice and ambiance lovely. Waited and waited over an hour and half, began to complain. Apologies didn’t help as delay proceeded for another 25 minutes! Food came cold! Mind you 11 people, several which ordered salads!!! Prime rib cold, pork chop very tough and 5 cold French fries! Manager came said he’d make an adjustment on bill. Now nearly three hours have passed. They adjusted the bill by half, decent of them. Ruined a family reunion, angered us beyond mention and is the 4th time in approximately 5 years we have been disappointed. Do not advise anyone to go there and I am sorry about this. I am from Hershey, love the hotel but this is pure disgusting!
Very nice for a late lunch - excellent menu and service. Would recommend to families with children.
This was probably one of the worst dining experiences ever. Our service, food and drinks were just not good. I would not go back again, one time was enough. I would have chosen a milk shake at Chocolate World and lunch at Houlihans over this. Our lunch was $90, and we didn't even eat it. I had a specialty cocktail that I couldn't even drink. The only time we saw our server was when she collected our money. I wish I had something positive about The Harvest, but honestly, there wasn't anything. Save your money... there are many other wonderful dining options in and around the Hershey area.
Annual pre-Father’s Day family dinner at Harvest.
We’ve come for the last five years.
Started out with five adults and three children ordering from the children’s menu.
Now, we are only one under 12.
We also love the fact that the kiddos (and Daddy Dave) can use the game room whilst waiting for dinner to be served.
Food was good but steak was a little too dry and broccoli was too hard for my taste. I should have ordered my steak medium. I told te wait staff I wanted the vegetable well done. She said it is roasted so it will be well done. For my taste it was still too hard. It was my birthday and I was given a chocolate cupcake. I am not to have chocolate. That is always disappointing when most of the items are chocolate. We had a trio of shooters which were also too sweet. We enjoy the harvest but probably more for lunch. Service was terrific.
girls day out and the service was great ! I have been here several times and could not wait for my friends to try it. We were all disappointed in our meals. undercooked quiche and mosty lettuce lobster salad . The ambiance was great but the food was not...
We were disappointed with the Asparagus(stringing) and broccoli's (stiff and burned taste). Loved the trout! Steak was delicious as well! We also really enjoyed the 3 mini desserts!
Food was good. Server was polite.
My family took me there in sept. for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. We decided to go back for another special occasion this weekend, and was extremely disappointed. To start I got starters for my dinner, the portions are very small, my spinach salad was suppose to come with dressing when I mentioned to the waitress, there is no dressing - her reply was I thought so. What kind of an answer is that? The service was very slow and the atmosphere was just not happy. Sorry but we won't be back.
Everything was fine but I don't think it's worth the cost.
I had the baby back ribs with chocolate BBQ sauce. My child has the grilled cheese sandwich. Food was cooked very well. Building was pretty even at night. Staff was friendly and funny. Only thing I didn't like was the onions in the homemade coleslaw, but they was big enough to pick out.
Harvest serves fresh, local ingredients that are presented nicely. Fresh salads, delicious main courses, and decadent desserts make eating there delightful. Our server was extremely attentive, making our anniversary/birthday celebration a real treat :-)
This was the first time at Harvest and we were all delighted with the selection of food, the atmosphere was just perfect and our waiter was very attentive and did a wonderful job serving and taking care of our needs. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Harvest is a perfect place to eat lunch after a walk through Gardens and before shopping at the Tanger Outlets. A relaxing restaurant with a beautiful view, it features a varied menu. The half-sandwich combo is outstanding, especially with their She-Crab or potato soup and a Caesar salad. If the sandwich of the day is brisket, it is the best on the planet.
Fresh and delicious
An awesome graduation place
Excellent lunch. Good soup, nice portion sizes. Loved the 1/2 sandwich, soup and salad combo.
My husband and I went and really enjoyed The Harvest as we celebrated our anniversary. We were seated by the window which overlooked the beautiful grounds and views of Hershey. We started out with She-crab soup which was very flavorful and filling. My fillet was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. My husband had the veal roulade and really liked that it was moist and seasoned. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. The atmosphere is more casual and relaxing.
The only things I have negative to say about my experience was 1) That some people do not like mustard on their cheese, yet a couple pieces of cheese on the cheese tray were covered with mustard. and 2) If not ever there before, finding where Harvest is located on the property. It took me a couple minutes to find the location because I went to the main building thinking .
Otherwise, the food was great. I especially enjoyed my entree of the hanger steak as well as the scallop appetizer. Also, thank you for recognizing my friends birthday.
We waited quite a long time for the arrival of our food. Some dishes were worth the wait, and some were not. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff was very kind, and the samples of Hershey's chocolates a nice surprise!
Took our family for Sunday brunch, to relax. Seated at a wonderful, round table with great view of the grounds. Several of us ordered the surf and turf Benedict. Never had a Benedict like it, totally awesome. Wait staff was attentive, not annoying. Can't wait to have another brunch at harvest!
As always enjoyed our dinner.... portions of sides were a little skimpy for the price you pay.
This was a celebration of our daughters' birthday, and everything was really great - food, service, ambiance. We have been there for both lunches and diners, and have never been disappointed.
I’ve never eaten at Hotel Hershey and was looking for a restaurant for my mom’s 80th Birthday so we chose Harvest (it had to be kid friendly). My wife had the quiche and thought it was a little bland. My brisket was good (I wasn’t blown away by it). as was the hamburger my daughter ate. The other people in our party enjoyed their meals. Portions were good and prices were ok but I wouldn’t hurry back here.
My wife and I had lunch at Harvest for Mothers' Day after spending a couple hours at Hershey Gardens. We had a very good lunch and the service was friendly and fast. We arrived about 15 minutes early but were seated right away. I had the Baby Back Ribs which were excellent. The restaurant is bit on the pricey side, but not outrageous. It's a great place for an occasion.
I'm local and I always always always love going to Harvest. It is one of my favorite places to go, period. However, we did have a server that couldn't describe any of the fish to us (but he was super nice!). We each decided to do a crab cake add-on this time, and I'm not sure I was tasting or seeing much in the way of crab, and it was basically all filler. This is the first time I can say, after almost 10 years of frequenting there, that I was disappointed. Everything else on the plate was excellent, as always.
The food was great, the service was attentive.
Didn't get seated at our reservation time. Very very long wait between courses even though they were not very busy. Drunks at table near us were so loud we couldn't have a nice conservation. Food was "fair" and pricey. Server was courteous but hidden most of the time and very slow. Was not a very nice Mother's Day meal. No intention to go back or recommend.
Me and my friends came for lunch, it was wonderful, the service was great, food was delicious, great place to eat.
The meal and everything about it was disappointing. It was our fifth year wedding anniversary. We were married at the hotel and dined in one of the dinning rooms on the 2nd floor of Harvest five years ago.
I courted my wife on the grounds of the Hotel, we even named one of the 4 gazebos as ours. We would have been married in it that May 10, but the weather had other plans for us.
Back to the dining experience, it started with seating us with one of our backs to the view of the windows even though two four top widow tables were open. Our waiter very young had a smile but service wasn't top of her agenda.
To the management, I get it farm to table meals but dressing your wait staff in farm jeans and plaid shirts is not fitting to the hotel, even Harvest.
"Valve" if your wait staff is dressed in jeans you're not spending $46.00 for a filet unless someone else is paying for it, no matter the occasion.
(Oh you may wonder we had Filet & lobster at of wedding)
Tables tops are getting soft, sticky and worn looking.
The selection of bread in basket not identified by our waitress and the bread tasteless. The table butter presentation was fine but the butter was margarine or unsalted.
I settled for the she crab soup , roasted half chicken, asparagus and hanely.
d cut fries. My wife couldn't see the value and settled for the she crab and a wedge salad with dressing.
The soup was fine, not the best we had. It was a little over done , a precursor to the next course.
My wife's salad, tomatoes were mushy. bacon bits were chunks and not edible and to top it, the salad dressing was MIA.
When I chased down our waitress, after she completed looking in the dinning room's mirror at her hair, I asked her to the table for more salad dressing. She assured us that the chef drizzled the salad. As I said, the dressing was MIA
The chicken was dry , it was laid over the over cooked asparagus and the fries cold and hard.
$80.00 , would we go back again? Not likely.
Food was terrible. I have been here dozen of times before and enjoyed the menu but this time blah! The Roast Turkey on my sandwich was dry, my “toasted” bread was actually charred black with that side set down in the plating so I couldn’t see it! And my friend’s fish and chips, which people rave about, were greasy and gloppy.
On the other hand I ur waitress was Fabulous! I wish I could remember her name. Exceptional service and views, but I think I will say it is a “no go” for another luncheon here...
I have been here twice in the last year while traveling and both times were great. The food never disappoints!
From the hostess, seating and wait staff, all were accommodating and pleasant. The food was excellent. The scenery was beautiful.
Amazing service and food! Will be back!
Ordered steak medium rare. Was really medium. Other than that everything was wonderful.
