A very nice place to eat, a hidden gem in westlake
I found the staff exceptionally friendly WHEN we could get their attention. Service was slow but overall we enjoyed our three days there of dining while on vacation.
The place was super quiet and empty for a hotel. Sadly, they did not have anything organic though their description makes it seem like they would. Menu on here is outdated. Our server Michael was excellent.
Breakfast was great but dinner not so much. Onion soup was nothing more than boiled onions with a submerged piece of bread. French fries were loaded with garlic. Absolutely loaded. Ditto the sauteed asparagus spears. Flat iron steak temperature was perfect but virtually inedible with the (you guessed it) garlic rub. A little garlic is fine but come on.......
A group of 10 women had a surprisingly great brunch experience at the restaurant. The location was chosen because 2 of the women were staying at the hotel, even though we had other popular local options. We were expecting boring, overpriced, "hotel-restaurant" food and service but were delighted by the excellent wait staff, some unique menu options, and an over-all good value for our money. The food was freshly prepared with quality ingredients. We were especially pleased with the restaurant and glad we tried it. Some of the women went back later for the build-your-own salad lunch. I think the Harvest at the Hyatt just might be a hidden gem in the Conejo Valley. I will definitely recommend it to others.
Great meeting place between LA and Santa Barbara. Food was delicious, great menu,
service was amazing. Beautiful to sit outside, great umbrellas and quiet. Very casual.

Food is very good and the service was outstanding. I'm allergic to garlic and they bend over backwards to ensure you get a very good meal without it. Thx.
My group dining experience was good. It was difficult to locate who was in charge, as there is no check-in situation. We had to wander and find a waitress, and they clearly threw our table together, even though we had made a reservation. Besides that, the food was good, fresh, and relatively reasonable priced for what we were getting. The service was good, too. However, diners must keep in mind the fact that this is a hotel - the parking lot was slammed, and we had to walk quite some ways. The lobby areas and outdoor areas were crowded due to two separate gatherings. This made our outdoor dining experience loud, noisy, and smoky, which is unappetizing when eating. Just keep all of this in mind when choosing this locale.
Went here on Christmas Day for Breakfast and it was absolutely adequate. Menu had enough options to please a large group and for big eaters there was a standard issue breakfast buffet. I'd go back again for good quality hotel-meal - if there were more stand-alone restaurant options available that day, I would most likely choose one of those instead.
Nice spot for lunch. My sister in law had the crab cake salad and said it was great. I went for the charcuterie plate, and was excited to receive various cold cuts and yummy cheeses etc. In reality I got two kinds of salami and one orange, one white hard processed cheese and a few olives! I was expecting some lovely soft european cheeses and a variety of meats! Disappointing.....the pear "chunky" was not! Just poached pear with a little nutmeg. Not what I was expecting for $15. The wines by the glass were limited, a small pour and expensive at $9 a glass.
I would hope a Hyatt had a better level of food, and perhaps they do, but not at the brunch. The price is low and perhaps that is why. The options sound appealing; it's the quality of food that needs improvement. They have do have a good selection of items, however if you have a refined pallet, your taste buds will not be satisfied.
Living in Westlake, I didn't even know this existed since it is hidden in the back of the Hyatt. I've eaten here twice and the food was excellent both times (although it is a limited menu). It is not very crowded so you could always get in. Not exactly a "scene", but I like it that way. I would definitely come again.
