Contemporary Southern
With influences that build on Southern basics but swayed by culinary traditions spanning kitchens across the world, Harvest at Homestead dishes are bold in both flavor and technique. The seasonal menus promote our chefs’ individualism and ability to turn a nostalgic dish into a modern rendition--creating rich, layered plates brought to life through fresh produce that our on-site organic gardens, and neighboring farms, yield.

The Harvest culinary team pulls from Tennessee culture--and from our inherited legacy of culinary generosity--to bring friends & family together over expertly executed dishes. This is the Marshall’s take on a farm-to-fork restaurant that curates fine food from ingredients plucked straight from our backyard plots.

The food was very good. Service was excellent. We initially were in a fiarly noisy room and they moved us to the office which was great. Look forward to returning -- and it as a 25 mile drive so worth the drive.

Food was excellent as was the service. Small but diverse menu was easy to understand. Great option. Location was very neat as is a war era home with lots of history and tradition to hear about. Would definitely recommend. Ask for the server Debbie, she was exceptional.

A friend and I have brunch together once a month...the only thing that wasn't perfect about this place was that the delicious coffee was only warm and not hot. Otherwise it would be a 10/10!

Food was great! We visited for Saturday Brunch and were very happy with what we ate (Chicken and Biscuits and the Harvest Scrambler). Service was a bit lacking. The waitress was unfamiliar with the menu and it’s meal inclusions (I.e. Sandwiches DO come with fries or a salad) and I had actually ordered the Harvest Breakfast not the Harvest Scrambler but didn’t want to wait for a new meal so didn’t bother to mention it to her. I still enjoyed the meal very much. Overall, we were happy with the experience and will be back. Just hope they can work on their staff training a bit more.

I had been working in the area and noticed this restaurant/manor set back from the road. I looked it up online, and decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn't waited so long. The food is grown right on the property (farm to fork) or obtained locally. I started with the deviled egg appetizer. Each one was crafted slowly by hand and was a work of art with the toppings carefully arranged. My entree was the filet. It was a perfect medium rare and served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and surrounded by an assortment of vegetables. The steak was so tender I didn't need a knife. The veggies had the perfect crunch. Dessert was a vanilla layer cake with chocolate and a bourbon caramel glaze. The bourbon was very aromatic and the cake was perfect.
While waiting for my food to come out my server explained the history of the manor. It was built in 1809 and a civil war battle took place there. It was used as a hospital for Union and Confederate soldiers. You can still see blood stains in the 3rd floor surgical area.
All in all it was a perfect dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

Food was fantastic and we will definitely be back! We sat in the back area - maybe an old green house. I was really cold (the ac was cranking!) but otherwise everything was wonderful!

This was my 2nd time to eat here. Having enjoyed my 1st visit, I wanted to introduce 3 more people to the restaurant. 3 of us ordered steak and were all disappointed. Our ribeyes were tough and my husband’s filet was over cooked. Overpriced and disappointing.

Absolutely LOVED Homestead Manor! Our waiter Kaleb was outstanding! He took time to share the history of the home with us and was attentive our whole meal. The separation of different rooms throughout the home made it very intimate and not feel overly crowded or noisy. The grounds were beautiful and the brunch menu creative and exciting. We had an excellent meal and will most definitely be returning, hopefully with Kaleb's service!

Food and service were very good. Staff was nice and helpful. One thing, we made a reservation and had to wait while others who walked in got sat before us. We were seated pretty quickly after and like I said before the food and our server were great so it more than made up for having to wait.

Not pleased at all. I had the ribeye which was somewhat flavorful but way too much fat/gristle. Mashed potatoes ok. My date had chicken which was presentable but really had to get to. One big clump with not much sauce. Butter biscuits were cool. Bacon jam and pimento was good. We asked for salt and pepper early on but didn't receive them until just about finished. Just not what i would expect with fine dining.

Historic mansion with on-site and local grown food. While it's not the quietest environment, the photos and décor in each room is unique and intriguing. The food was very tasty and well prepared; the salad was very fresh. Our waiter was young but very thorough and attentive as well as offered recommendations about the entrees. The porches and bar make for great places to relax and talk and the grounds are an interesting walk. For special occasions or a date, this is a good choice.

We live nearby and had always wanted to visit. On our 39th wedding anniversary, we made reservations and went. My wife ordered scallops and they were excellent — amazing. I ordered the bourbon glazed duck and it was disappointing. The glaze was nice and it looked great but the chicken was very dry and tough. I said nothing because we were enjoying our time together and it seemed wrong to send things back and complain. The wait staff explained how Homestead gets the food they serve and that was really interesting. All of them seemed nice and ready to serve but they weren’t over the top with plastic smiles and constant interruptions. We liked that.

Enjoyed many meals, at the homestead, during past 2 years! This experience was different from previous occasions. My wife’s meal was very good as was the salad. However, my steak was tuff with uneven texture! A 36 dollar should have been more enjoyable , glen

Ultimately the food left a lot to be desired. As did the cocktails. The grounds are so beautiful that I would return only for that. We both ordered a specialty cocktail- when they arrived they were warm. I asked for water when we sat down, then when we ordered cocktails, and again when we ordered dinner. I got it mid-way through the appetizer. The ap was good if average. Baked ricotta. Wife is gluten intolerant so we asked for some veggies instead of bread and we got those for a $2 upcharge. No big deal. When the entrees came, right on top of the ap wifes cauliflower risotto was so salty that it was inedible. I am a salt lover so I thought right she was overreacting, but I took a bite and cringed. When we sent it back the server said it was because the chef used veggie broth instead of a buttermilk mixture because of the gluten issue. No problem but no one tasted it? she ordered a spring salad that she said was very good. The house itself is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. All in all I had high hopes for the food and drinks lots of potential here- but it was a miss.

My girlfriend and I love to eat in the bar. The food never disappoints & tonight I had the cauliflower risotto that was OMG good! I was just returning from a five day trip to the Bay Area & the food tonight was as good as anything I had in Los Gatos, Capitola or Santa Cruz. Happy Hour lasts til 7:00 & we had a bottle of Shiraz from the Barossa Valley for half price! I’ve always found the bartenders to be super nice & tonight was no exception.
