It was very loud and the overall experience was not too pleasant.
Have already recommended to others. A real gem. Excellent service, the food was great and it is a tremendous value.
We went to dinner as a family before a Christmas musical. The restaurant was not busy and we were able to get to our table right away. The menu had good variety...even had great options for my vegetarian daughter. Southern food done well. I had the ribeye and it was delicious! Kids had fish and chips that were great. They only bad part about dinner was the dessert. We ordered the hummingbird and chocolate chip cakes. The chocolate chip cake was blah (no flavor at all) and the hummingbird cake was just okay (couldn’t taste the fruit). I would go back and wi recommend to others. The service was really good.
A little disappointed with this visit. The menu was quite limited, but what we had was well prepared and tasty. Our server was not attentive and we had to make multiple requests for bread and beverages. It is a great location and convenient to meet friends from across the Triangle. Will try again.
Everything was great!
Good food, lovely ambiance. Have been before and the food was better, not sure if it was just what we picked that wasn't quite as good as the first time. Oyster app was AMAZING though!!
Harvest 18 was very good, nice place with good comfort food for a casual evening. They put some nices pins on some standard favorites.
Jason Smith and his crew always do a superb job. The food and service were both top notch and I highly recommend Harvest 18.
The desserts and salads remain outstanding, as is the complimentary bread-and-butter. The entrees, however, are, at best, hit-or-miss. This weekend, I had a pan-seared crab cake that was downright gluey and extremely bland. Nor could I find much crab in it. In addition, the presentation was . . . rustic, if I'm being polite. The waiter was a delight and removed it from the bill without our asking, but I would have preferred a wonderful meal. This used to be one of my favorite places. The food was not only locally sourced but vibrant and balanced. I had a clam and corn dish a few years ago that remains one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. I have been very disappointed by my last few meals at Harvest 18 and can no longer recommend it. I hope they get back to the kind of food they were serving when they first opened.
I enjoyed the spinach salad with salmon and the french fries are really good.
We are so lucky that this is our neighborhood restaurant...the food, service and atmosphere is always OUTSTANDING!
This was only our second visit to Harvest 18 and, after we finished our dinner, we wondered why we haven't visited more frequently. The menu is imaginative, varied and the food is well prepared with ample portions. The staff is friendly and professional. Finally, Harvest 18's prices are quite reasonable given the food quality. Strongly recommend you give Harvest 18 a try.
Great food, wine selection and dessert. Attentive staff.
Very happy to have chosen Harvest 18
Great food, but the atmosphere is similar to lesser chain restaurants like Chili’s or Applebee’s. Unfortunately the service was even worse, with an untrained and uncaring waitstaff. We won’t be going back.
The man at the host stand was very rude. We stood at the front for 5 minutes and he never greeted us. The food was cold and undercooked. Very underwhelming experience. The waitress was nice but the service was slow.
Fabulous! Celebrating a birthday and got a free dessert!
First time for Brunch. Food was fantastic and it was quiet and relaxing! This is our go-to spot to have a healthy and enjoyable meal. Will definitely go back for Brunch again!
Great food and excellent service. The goat cheese pimento was great. I got the catfish and it was super.
Friendly service, quality food for a good price. Relatively quiet.
Harvest 18 is a premier dining establishment in Durham. Serving some of the best dishes, inc seafood, steak, and chicken with beautiful presentation. Appetizers are also awesome. Can't go wrong w Harvest 18. Great comfort food
Went for brunch. First visit. Everything was delicious.
Food was unique and tasty. The person who had the butternut squash tamales would have preferred less heat in the spices. The green tomatoes in the green tomato BLT were perfect but when you make a perfect sandwich the condiment (garlic aoli) should be spread evenly to the edges of the bread on both sides and the filling should be distributed in even layers and fill the sandwich not be piled in the middle. The sandwich's failings were remedied with extra aoli and some rearrangements.
Excellent quality food, great service! Food came out quickly and was well presented.
This is a neighborhood favorite. Reliable service and quality food.
Great food and fun.
It is a fine place to eat. No particular complaints but nothing truly outstanding either. Very good location.
Harvest 18 is a wonderful experience--if you like bacon. If not, some negotiating is needed, even with salads and veggies. That aside, we had a delightful visit.
Food was great but the service lacked. The waitress was unwelcoming. Not rude, just did not act like she was glad we were there.
Good place to eat with friends. The food was very good.
Food was just fabulous. So full of flavor! The bread and butter that we started with was very tasty.
A cute little place with a nice outdoor area. The food was delicious, with great options, but definitely smaller servings. We had a wonderful time!
Food was just okay. I had the shrimp n grits. It had flavor but portions were lacking. All four of us completely finished our plates but were still hungry. Appetizers (pimento cheese and fried oysters) were good. The complimentary warm bread and butter was probably my favorite thing here. We ordered the warm brownie to share after dinner and it was completely cold and hard. Not what we had expected. We did get a free apple pecan dessert as we were celebrating two of our birthdays. That was warm and was appreciated. Service was fine, just overall not impressed with my first experience here.
Food was great and service was excellent - weird to have such a good restaurant in a strip mall. Would be much more enjoyable overall if there was a better atmosphere.
Loved this place. It's farm to table, not too expensive ($20-25 entrees) and the food was great. Trout with grits was wonderful and spiced just right, the catfish was excellent, and the scallops were cooked just right. I would recommend and definitely go back.
The food just wasn’t tasty.
Food was excellent, but need to inquire about degree of spiciness. The fried green tomatoes were so spicy they had to b e returned.
Best meal I’ve had in some time. Entree was perfectly grilled and everything was fresh and tasted perfect.
This is the first time in many visits that we’ve been disappointed in Harvest 18. We went for brunch, and although the menu was varied and items sounded good in the descriptions, the flavors just fell flat. Some items (eggs, fries) were overcooked, and the presentation felt haphazard on the plate. Service, although professional and prompt, wasn’t as attentive as usual. Perhaps this was because we were there somewhat later in the “brunch window” (our reservation was at 1), but it just felt like the entire staff, from front of house to the kitchen, was tired and uninspired. Not at all what we have come to expect from Harvest 18, which usually provides a lovely dining experience.
The burgers were a little expensive, but they very good
