Valentine’s Day, super nice, I really enjoyed it and so did my s/o
Food was great and so was the staff. Very clean and they are abiding by CDC social distancing rules.
Great place to dine on any night. Service was pleasurable and the food was delicious. I recommend dining here.
Made reservations but they ended up not setting the tables up outside. So when we showed up, we weren’t sat. Ended up ordering deliver. Sushi was good but a little salty. Went during covid on Xmas eve, so that could be it.
Amazing food and service!! Would go back again if it wasn't for COVID :(
No outside dining anymore
The restaurant is small. The server was the bartender and seemed overwhelmed by 4 tables. The server asked how are we doing VS how was the good. It's my small let peeve but there's a major difference in that question. The food had a fishy odor(mix between the oven and not being cleaned) and was a VERY small portion compared to the price. Drinks are on average $15. I frequented the Union Sq location before COVID and it was great but I'm disappointed in the quality of the Times Sq location.
Anniversary dinner
The food is always great here!! The experience outdoors is very different, but they did their best! The servers were very attentive.
The time I spent that the restaurant was very pleasant and the food was very good I would recommend a restaurant to other people so they can have the same experience thank you so much for having me there
As is the case when I eat Sushi outside Japan, I keep my expectation low but it was a positive surprise!!
The food is always great, but I did not enjoy the outdoor dining at all.
Reservation was quick, and the food was amazing! The Madison Ave roll was absolute deliciousness. Layer on layer of flavor and textures, the gold flakes are a nice touch. Definitely a resident of flavor town. Great spot with that munch for lunch. Outdoor seating is plentiful.
While our meal was good, I can’t say it was excellent. Unfortunately the restaurant cannot control the outdoor experience in this odd COVID environment but it was very noisy with pedestrians and panhandlers walking in between the tables. It’s also getting chilly in the evenings so outdoor heaters would be a nice addition.
Had a great dinner with my wife for our anniversary. Outdoor seating only in NYC until end of the month. But we made the best of it. Service was great and food was very good. The sushi was awesome. Chilean sea bass was great also.
We only gave three stars for ambiance because we dined there during Covid 19 restrictions so we were outside on the sidewalk. It LOOKED very lovely inside so I imagine under other circumstances we would have rated that higher.
Food was OK, small portions overpriced.
Tables too close to people walking. Homeless come up to you multiple times and staff do nothing. Staff mostly inside while diners outside. Staff just stood around inside rather than try to help. Terrible experience.
Nice outdoor dining area. Relatively quiet. Great food and service. So glad to be back!
The food was terrible! The Uni was not fresh and tasted it had been sitting in the fridge for days.
Ordered the Umami Fried Rice with King Crab and had very few pieces of crab.
Definetively a No Go in NYC.
Very uncomfortable high top tables with bar stool seating. Drunk people loitering around the restaurant and area. Homeless people arguing nearby. Not a relaxing enjoyable dinner at all.
The food was amazing and the staff was great. Our server was helpful in telling us what we should try and was very accommodating. We will definitely be back soon!
Great experience
Food, drinks and server were excellent. Enjoyed the seasonal drinks and rolls.
Great staff, great food. Ordered a few sushi rolls, tad pricey but your in Manhatten near time square.
Hard stepped up with the outdoor dining and made it feel estimate and special. I celebrated my 50th at one of my favorite neighborhood sushi spots. Consistently fresh sushi at decent prices. Service is always on point! See you soon for happy hour.
It was great to go out and have dinner at a restaurant after Covid Lockdown. Food was amazing
Food was delicious and fresh, coming from the west coast this place was on par to sushi in Seattle.
Excellent sushi and drinks!
Food and service were decent, quiet though
I made an open table reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early- no problem. Service, food was terrific. Have eaten here before- consistently good. Sushi was terrific as well as drinks from bar. Very good.
Disappointed
We apologize for your recent visit. To better assist you, please contact our team via the Contact Us page on our website.
Haru Sushi is one of the he better places to eat in times square. The fish is fresh and well presented, very traditional, nothing fancy.
Solid pre-theater choice. Super convenient and good food. Pricey but typical for that area. Knowing the service is slow, allow yourself enough time to get in and out.
Recommend if you are looking for a sushi restaurant to dine at prior to a broadway show. If not, go elsewhere. There are lots of sushi options in the city with better quality and at a better price.

We've been here a couple of times but this last time, we felt the service was a little bit slow. We arrived 15 minutes early and the restaurant was able to accommodate us. Sushi/sashimi platter was beautifully displayed and waitstaff explained each type of seafood. Delicious.
Fantastic Bill! On behalf of our team here at RA, we would like to thank you for your continuous loyalty!
Great for a pre-show dinner. Happy hour menu is great
We appreciate you dining with RA, thank you for the kind words!
The food is really good!!! There could be more vegan/vegetarian options but outside of that I had an overall good experience.
Awesome Gregory! We are happy you enjoyed the RA experience! Come back soon!
Granted it was a pre-theater crowd, but we were seated for our reservation at 5:45 and our order was not take until 6:08, because the waitress commented that “happy hour” was over. She honored the pricing, because of the slowness of service. The food was piloted up on the sushi bar, because the wait staff was seemed to be under staffed. Overall, great food, though.
Thank you John for sharing your feedback! We hope to see you back again soon!
We used to enjoy this restaurant. We arrived at 5.40 and were seated right away. We ordered and then spent the next hour asking where our food was
We did not get served until 6:48 and we had a 7 PM curtain.
We will not go back nor will any of our friends.
