While the ambiance was very nice and we liked the fireplaces - the food was just so-so and the wine over priced. Overall our group was not impressed. The best thing was the fresh bread and the bacon spread that was offered but, we had to ask from it...
This is a wonderful restaurant. I return over and over again, never having had less than a memorable meal. Decor is stunning and the wait staff is exceptional. The menu is relatively small but each item is prepared perfectly, without overly-concocted ingredients.
We have been going to the Harth for quite a while now, for our business purposes and lunches.
Great staff, great food, and great ambience. Servers were excellent very polite sweet and very attentive.
Lovely, quiet, attentive service, nice place for Easter brunch. Expensive but worth it to not have to wait on a special occasion
Very pretty but the breakfast buffet was not worth $28. All buffet items were typical and the selection was limited.
We haven't eaten at Harth for quite some time now. We had brunch there this past Sunday after staying at the Hilton because our power was out. The brunch buffet, although not all that extensive, was very good. They offered the usual breakfast items plus really good roast turkey. Service was great. We will go back.
The servers were upbeat and attentive
They were a bit overwhelmed on Valentine's day and when we were first seated it was very noisy, but it calmed down. The staff and chef are wonderful!!
Very disappointed. Took them 20 mins to take our drink order. Very limited menu and wine list. They brought appetizers out at the same time as our meals. I ordered BBQ short ribs. Cost was $30 for a small piece of meat with a salty almost canned gravy tasting sauce (not BBQ) and 6 steak fries. Very pricey for short ribs. My spouse ordered scallops also expensive. They were undercooked and sear was terrible on them. Overall just a horrible experience on Valentine’s Day. Won’t ever dine there again.
This place has OK food. The price is higher than I would have expected for the quality of food and volume of food. The wait staff were courteous though they needed several reminders. It took us 3 asks for more bread in 30+ mins. One plus I will give them is presentation of the dishes. Their chef was quite inventive. I ordered a lobster dish and they made it look like the sea with bubbles/foam. It was a nice touch.
A peaceful respite from noisy crowds. The menu is limited in scope but everything we had was delicious. The flatbreads are excellent. The décor is modern and welcoming. Food is modestly priced. The bacon jam with fresh bread is always a treat.
This was the second Saturday evening visit by the same group of five in a month. The first visit was wonderful -- this visit was a little disappointing.
The food selections were now a weekend "limited" menu -- so while we came for the wonderful full menu and "Prix Fixe" menu, everything (including the "Prix Fixe" selections) was not available. Not really caring for the limited available menu selections, 4 of the 5 ordered a mixture of soup, salad, appetizers, and sandwiches (not desired for a birthday get together celebration, but making the "best" of the situation).
The service was "OK" by the server. We weren't yet finished with the flatbreads (delicious) when he came to serve the soup (despite the dining room being far from full, and our having indicated we wanted to just leisurely enjoy the meal). He did take it back to keep it under a warming lamp and brought it back later. When the main selections were brought, one of the orders was initially delivered to the wrong person. Rather than bring it around the table to serve to the correct person, he reached out across the large round table to pass it to the correct person -- who then likewise needed to stretch over the table to accept it (not great or professional serving etiquette).
The manager was once again very professional and friendly, gracious and a delightful person, and did everything in his power to make the dining experience successful under the circumstances. He went so far as to make some dessert items not listed on the menu available -- again, helping as best he could to make things a little less disappointing.
The receptionist was very friendly -- and even wished a second "Happy Birthday" as we were leaving.
We may return in the Spring -- when the expanded menu again becomes available. Overall the food is good, the dining room ambiance is good (except for the vinyl place mats), and the sound level is quiet -- this visit was just somewhat of a disappointment.
What a great restaurant! I had the great fortune of eating here several times while staying at the Hilton. My first time I was alone and got to really look around. The decor was gorgeous; they used different wall treatments in different areas and that really was the art to look at. I especially liked the jade color stone wall but was happily cozy in the light wood panel area --- very Scandinavian and the wood grain IS the art. The chandeliers were a great choice.
Everything was spotless --- especially the crystal clear glassware on the tables --- they sparkled! Beautiful!
Then the food! The filet mignon was soooo good! I had to sub mashed potatoes and the chef did a wonderful special arrangement on the plate. So gorgeous. The accompaniments included cooked cherry tomatoes; each was perfectly seasoned and the exactly the right temperature. I loved the brussel sprouts, too. And everyone MUST try the bacon "butter" that comes with the bread basket. Others had entrees of salmon (they loved the curry sauce) and pork loin and everyone was totally happy with their food.
Dessert: I chose the Mocha Creme Brulee. I'm hard to please with this dessert because the first time I ever had it was from a chef who made it perfectly and no one since has ever come close --- until now. It was perfect-- both texture and taste. I liked the addition of the mocha flavor and think they should have even more flavor varieties.
Another day I had the BLT and it was terrific.
A late night back to the hotel without dinner and I got there past their closing time. But the hotel "market" had sandwiches. I hesitated until I saw that the restaurant had made them. The turkey sandwich was wonderful.
I want to eat every day at this restaurant.
This is one of my favorite restautants. Their bacon jam is the best, and the interior is so beautiful and romantic.
The food and service were very good, but the atmosphere was a little off. This is in a hotel. The restaurant was not very busy, and people came in from the hotel dressed in ultra-casual clothes, playing on their phones and iPads like there were in an airport terminal. Not sure what they can do, but perhaps implement a basic level of attire. The menu was very good, but not huge.
Maria, our server made our family celebration a fabulous experience. In fact, it could not have been any better... quiet room in the back, food was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. Maria was the best ever! We will return often.
We love the decor here, especially in winter: glass fireplaces, clean white tables, chairs, china, touches of birch - very Scandinavian and can be cozy in winter. We have been numerous times, and thought to take our friends who are real foodies - we two wives had birthdays, and we had all lived in Sweden years ago, and my husband and I had always enjoyed the menu offerings. We were quite disappointed to find that the menu is now VERY limited - on a Saturday night, at least, as perhaps most of their clientele are weekday hotel guests? That was not evident when we looked at the menu online. We were a little embarrassed, as our friends are real foodies (their daughter is an executive chef at an upscale restaurant in Chicago) and we were hoping for some lovely fish and meat dishes like we have enjoyed in the past. I think there were only four real entrees - one was salmon, and it was delicious, but we prepare that at home often so it wasn't special. The others had flatbread - really? We expected so better. We may go again, but will be sure to call ahead and enquire about the current menu.
One always has a bit of a concern dining in hotel. Fantastic space and service. Starters equally fine. Mains well... a big miss on curry veg and a bit over cooked half chicken. What could have been awesome is below value because of the kitchen that night (?). This one not likely to try again.
Once again, we had the nicest dinner at Harth. The restaurant is beautiful. We loved all the fireplaces. Wonderful atmosphere. And the food is always good.
Food was good but rather expensive. Service can be slow.
Very beautiful inside. Food was well prepared. Service was ok- missed offering bread, didn’t bring a soup spoon with soup. Waiter recovered well.
A real "Gem" in Tysons Corner. A small group of five was celebrating a special wedding anniversary -- and the staff could not have been more friendly, attentive and professional. The seating was arranged so the five of us were all extremely comfortable (a four-top square converted to a larger round) and the location was quiet so we could talk and the food was excellent all the way around. Four completely separate entree choices -- and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. So much so that we are already planning to go back soon to celebrate a Birthday. Can't say enough good things about the food, the ambiance and the experience! Can't wait to go back.
Anniversary date!
I have definitely had better experiences at Harth but it has been over two years so I have to believe that they have gone downhill. The wine(their top Pinot noir) was definitely cooked and my server never came back to see how anything was so I just went ahead and drink it because feeling drunk would be better than experiencing that food completely sober. That gets me to the food. It was OK but definitely nothing close to what you pay for. As mentioned previously the server himself was just terrible. But, I gave the service to stores because the guys who were running the food and filling my water glass was really great. I ate here because I was staying overnight and it made it simple but I do not think I will do that again
Harth is wonderful! Would not hesitate to go there again!
Food was very good! Beautiful decor.
Great food and service
I've been a long time customer of Harth, both outside on the patio in the warm weather and nside the rest of the time. They continue to refine their offerings and their wine list is quite respectable.
I would like to see them add at least one spicy dish to heir menu.
I used order their vegetable curry (among other dishes), but it disappeared one day and has not been seen again.
The best food I have had in YEARS. Came here for Thanksgiving. The potatoes were chunky, the orange cranberry sauce a delightful combination, the candied yams with gooey marshmallows with crunchy pecans, the amazing assortment of delectable desserts and one of the most attentive restaurant staffs I have ever encountered!
Harth is a five star restaurant with exemplary service, outstanding food, generous variety of choices and gorgeous decor. The row of rectangular flaming fireplaces enclosed in glass chambers at waist level provide an eye catching display and set the tone for a classy experience. The dining room is bright, airy, with great placement of tables under stunning chandeliers. The waiters don’t blink an eye at unusual requests and oblige with a smile. As an example, at a table across, 2 adults were having a birthday party for some stuffed teddy bears and much to the genuine delight, the waitstaff came with candles on desserts and sang happy birthday. Beverages are assiduously refilled and staff is very understanding about family gatherings and allowing them adequate time to converse. Everyone leaves smiling.
Excellent thanksgiving day buffet! We will be back to try brunch, lunch and dinner!
Ate the Thanksgiving Buffet. Pleasantly surprised at how delicious every single item was. Service was outstanding. Loved the presentation and options. Each employee was alert and engaged. Very impressed all around.
Reserved a last minute Thanksgiving brunch and found the food, ambience, service substantially exceeded our expectations. We dined leisurely while enjoying a wide cuisine that featured omelets, roast turkey with all the trimmings and a variety of seasonal deserts.
One of the BEST meals I have ever had. Healthy, fresh, delicious. Beautiful restaurant with a cozy firepit. Will definitely return!
Harth was terrific. First, it's a convenient spot when coming from MD to meet folks in NoVA. The presentation and the food quality is great. It is a little pricey but I was on a business lunch so it didn't affect me. My partner had the pumpkin soup which she raved about. I had the chopped salad with salmon and it was terrific.
Business lunch. Excellent!
What a nice experience it turned out to be. I was thrown off by the pretentious name (what's with the umlaut?) but the photos on Open Table looked inviting. Each staff member was personable, informative and flexible. One of the custom cocktails (the Hive, the only one we tried) was a decided hit. Beer on draught seems to be a highlight but the wine list is limited. The menu was straightforward--we ordered calamari with crispy pickles, mussels and fries, braised spare rib, salmon prepared as ordered. It wasn't groundbreaking stuff but it was well done and we honestly enjoyed it (especially the braised sparerib). As bistros go, it's pricey but pretty elegant. The illuminated natural marble along the wall is just stunning.
The scallops were amazing.!!!! The steak was good but needed a little more flavor- blue cheese,??mushrooms?? Something. It was cooked beautifully though. Patio was perfect seating but fire pit was not on and it was a perfect night for it. Juan was a great server, on top of things, personable, really wanted to make sure your experience was enjoyable. The hostess was very helpful with recommendations. Side note, they have beehives on the roof of the hotel to help repopulate honeybees. Menu items contained harvested honey.
Very peaceful setting for a Saturday dinner. Staff was attentive and food was excellent!
Disappointed; food quality and quantity; SUMMER MARKET SALAD was OK but was too small not enough for light lunch. My guest ordered the only soup available TOMATO SOU, after couple of spoons he did not finish it and was not good.
