Härth Ratings and Reviews
I have definitely had better experiences at Harth but it has been over two years so I have to believe that they have gone downhill. The wine(their top Pinot noir) was definitely cooked and my server never came back to see how anything was so I just went ahead and drink it because feeling drunk would be better than experiencing that food completely sober. That gets me to the food. It was OK but definitely nothing close to what you pay for. As mentioned previously the server himself was just terrible. But, I gave the service to stores because the guys who were running the food and filling my water glass was really great. I ate here because I was staying overnight and it made it simple but I do not think I will do that again
I've been a long time customer of Harth, both outside on the patio in the warm weather and nside the rest of the time. They continue to refine their offerings and their wine list is quite respectable.
I would like to see them add at least one spicy dish to heir menu.
I used order their vegetable curry (among other dishes), but it disappeared one day and has not been seen again.
The best food I have had in YEARS. Came here for Thanksgiving. The potatoes were chunky, the orange cranberry sauce a delightful combination, the candied yams with gooey marshmallows with crunchy pecans, the amazing assortment of delectable desserts and one of the most attentive restaurant staffs I have ever encountered!
Harth is a five star restaurant with exemplary service, outstanding food, generous variety of choices and gorgeous decor. The row of rectangular flaming fireplaces enclosed in glass chambers at waist level provide an eye catching display and set the tone for a classy experience. The dining room is bright, airy, with great placement of tables under stunning chandeliers. The waiters don’t blink an eye at unusual requests and oblige with a smile. As an example, at a table across, 2 adults were having a birthday party for some stuffed teddy bears and much to the genuine delight, the waitstaff came with candles on desserts and sang happy birthday. Beverages are assiduously refilled and staff is very understanding about family gatherings and allowing them adequate time to converse. Everyone leaves smiling.
Reserved a last minute Thanksgiving brunch and found the food, ambience, service substantially exceeded our expectations. We dined leisurely while enjoying a wide cuisine that featured omelets, roast turkey with all the trimmings and a variety of seasonal deserts.
Harth was terrific. First, it's a convenient spot when coming from MD to meet folks in NoVA. The presentation and the food quality is great. It is a little pricey but I was on a business lunch so it didn't affect me. My partner had the pumpkin soup which she raved about. I had the chopped salad with salmon and it was terrific.
What a nice experience it turned out to be. I was thrown off by the pretentious name (what's with the umlaut?) but the photos on Open Table looked inviting. Each staff member was personable, informative and flexible. One of the custom cocktails (the Hive, the only one we tried) was a decided hit. Beer on draught seems to be a highlight but the wine list is limited. The menu was straightforward--we ordered calamari with crispy pickles, mussels and fries, braised spare rib, salmon prepared as ordered. It wasn't groundbreaking stuff but it was well done and we honestly enjoyed it (especially the braised sparerib). As bistros go, it's pricey but pretty elegant. The illuminated natural marble along the wall is just stunning.
The scallops were amazing.!!!! The steak was good but needed a little more flavor- blue cheese,??mushrooms?? Something. It was cooked beautifully though. Patio was perfect seating but fire pit was not on and it was a perfect night for it. Juan was a great server, on top of things, personable, really wanted to make sure your experience was enjoyable. The hostess was very helpful with recommendations. Side note, they have beehives on the roof of the hotel to help repopulate honeybees. Menu items contained harvested honey.
While I recognize it was Father's Day, the restaurant's website did not specify that the only offerings would be the buffet. And we had to alert our server that several offerings were empty (to which he asked 'which ones' rather than going to the stations and view for himself). Additionally, our server was less than attentive and we had to gain his attention on several occasions. Since the food offerings were self serve, it was hard to understand why he didn't ensure the simplest of tasks were completed such as provising water after we were seated. Great aesthetics but I will not return or recommend.
We went for Father's Day brunch and thought there would be a special brunch buffet, but we were mistaken. This is a slightly nicer than average hotel breakfast buffet. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries. There were quite the selection of juices, which was kind of fun/interesting. Waiter seemed thrown off by our Bloody Mary and Mimosa order, which took a while to actually get. I think this place is fine if you are staying in the hotel and need to get breakfast (for $26) quickly. I'd choose another place next time if we were looking for a nice/fun brunch.
Love the setting, enjoyed the food & drinks, but found the service terribly lacking. A constant effort by the server to 'up sell' - telling us the house wines were terrible, telling us that happy hour offers were not available (even though they were), etc. When we did not succumb to the sales pressure, she basically disappeared.
I was pleasantly surprised that a restaurant in a hotel could be very good ! The hostess was friendly , and , the atmosphere , while not fancy , was acceptable. it might be better after dark , when the fireplaces are more prominent. My only complaint was with our waiter. he was very friendly , but , twice , he forgot to bring one of my orders. That took away fro a positive experience !
This was our third visit to Haarth. Each time the food has been wonderful, but this time we ordered the prix fixe menu. The food was good, but the portions were too large for us 60+ year olds. Next time, I think we will split entrees. All good, but portions were amble.
Entrees are more expensive that I expected and what was advertised on various websites like TripAdvisor (~$35), but there are cheaper flatbread pizza options (~$14-25). Food was very good, but not much better than somewhat cheaper places. Ambiance is great. Friendly and attentive staff. Good experience.
This is a very nice location in the Tysons Corner area. Parking is free and ample. The food is good. The major challenge in this venue is it is quite noisy and conversations are sometimes a challenge.
I have been here many times for business meetings and would continue to go back.
We came for Mother's Day brunch and definitely enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the espresso creme brulee french toast casserole. I have been here a number of times as I work at the Hilton Headquarters next door. Service is always very attentive and friendly and the menu never disappoints. In this case all the food was awesome, but I wish they had included a beef option in addition to the chicken and salmon at the carving station. That would have made a difference in my perception of value.
