Harry's Seafood Grill Ratings and Reviews
The receptionist was rude. If We had not had play tickets next door I would have turned around and left. The waitress gave us fine service. The salad with crab cake would have been delicious if they had not smothered it in way too much garlic salad dressing. The calamari was delicious. But should not have been served in Cup with brown paper. The presentation was not very good. When we put it on a platter to eat – it looked much more appetizing.
The restaurant was really busy and our table was tucked into a corner. Our waiter was not very attentive. Our appetizers came out quickly, but there was a long delay until our entrees came out. We ordered 2 hot entrees and one from the raw bar. The 2 hot entrees came out at least 10 minutes before the one from the raw bar. The explanation given to us was that the raw bar was backed up. It would have been better if they had recognized this before bringing the hot entrees out.
Outstanding seafood. Scallops and walleye were cooked perfectly. Ashley our server was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and wine list. Very attentive on a busy Saturday night. Deserts were delicious and not too large. We were told that the deserts were made at the restaurant.
If you're looking for a quiet evening then this isn't the place. It's quite loud but that's not a deal breaker. We'd definitely go again when in the area.
I love everything about Harry's Seafood Grille. The food is always terrific and the selection is as well. The chef clearly understands how to handle, prepare and cook fish. There were four of us for a business dinner and each raved about the food. And, although it feels upscale it is reasonable in price. One thing I noticed was the air conditioner did not seem to be working. On the evening of September 21, 2017. But, I typically like the room cooler than most. Notwithstanding, service was very attentive, not overbearing and very professional.
We had a terrific lunch starting with New England Clam Chowder and a Pumpkin Squash soup. Both were delicious and a nice start to our lunch. We followed the soup with Grilled Scallops with a Cobb salad and a lovely Lobster salad with Bibb lettuce. Highly recommend this restaurant for there consistently excellent food and the great service we always receive.
We were there with friends on a Sunday evening and thought it might be relatively quiet. Not so. Unfortunately, although we requested a table in the more quiet part of the restaurant it was very noisy and difficult to hear normal conversation at our table. (Probably doesn't help when other diners aren't willing to control their over-active and loud children). Our server was very nice and did her best to accommodate our needs; however, the food was just so-so. It was nothing to write home about. My husband had the crab cake which was just OK. I had the "wolf fish" which was over done and dry, along with the accompanying veggies, and not as tasty as one would hope. Our friends had other fish dishes which they said were just OK but over priced. All-in-all, we would not go out of our way to go back to Harry's Seafood for another meal. Sorry, but the drive wasn't worth the price.
Excellent lunch! Dined outdoors on the riverside patio with prompt, polite service. Ready acknowledgement that we were on a limited time frame with theater tickets, but never felt rushed or hurried. Food was subtlety seasoned and extremely fresh.
The lobster salad had large chunks of lobster and was not overwhelmed by dressing.
I love everything about this place -- food, service, drinks, setting, etc. -- except the prices. When you bring your family for a special occasion, which we have done more than once, you will drop some serious cash. I do wish it were not so pricey, and since it is a very large place, similar to a chain, you may not be expecting the high prices. You get what you pay for, for sure, but you will pay!
We journeyed (1 1/4 hours away) for our anniversary and it was worth every mile of the drive. We opted to create our own tapas dinner based on the attractive list of starters, ceviches, and salads. Every item was a 5 and we were delighted we went that route, even though the standard entrees looked inviting as well. On top of the food, our server was super pleasant and friendly, adding to the joy of the evening. I'm certain we'll make this journey in the future because, as the saying goes, "for good food it's worth it."
Great food. Horrible service - had to ask for bread after it was 30 minutes since I placed an order. The food came after 45 minutes. The server won't serve us water but would serve water to nearby guest. I am not sure if she was just ignoring us. I won't recommend.
Harry's Seafood never disappoints. The fish and shellfish are delicious and fresh and sustainable. Service is professional and cheerful; waitress kept track without intruding on the conversation. Really is one of the best places in the regions to get great fish.
We make an annual trip to Harrys' to celebrate the anniversary of one of our first dates. This is the first time we were disappointed First, let's give credit where credit is due, the service was good. We were seated outdoors on a perfect summer night. Our ceviche and salads were excellent, however, our main entrees were very dry, overcooked, I presume. Due to the lateness of the evening, we did not send our grilled fish back to the kitchen. We mentioned it to our server and she informed us there was a new crew in the kitchen. I hope they get it together soon. Harry's has a reputation to maintain.
We've dined here many times and always enjoyed it, even though we now live out of town. It remains my favorite and we make it a point to eat here whenever we're in town. Even though I ordered Rockfish and was served Halibut, the food was excellent! We will continue to go back next time we're in town.....like next month for instance!
had only been for lunch but this time my husband and I had a "date night" without kids and it was wonderful. Our server, Marvin, was amazing and not just with us but with all his tables around us. The food was delicious and just the right amount, not too little not too much. We had such an enjoyable evening and will most certainly return for our next "date night"!
Our patio table was ready when we arrived on time for our Friday 6:30pm reservation. Their out door dining area is awning covered with an excellent view of riverfront. The service and food was very good , however, I believe the prices were too high for several appetizers and entrees. $15 for 3 pieces of sushi and oysters at ~$3 each seems a little steep to me. The wine list is typical of restaurants in this $$$ price range. They do have a house red & white by the glass that are worth a try unless you need to impress your guests by choosing an upscale label. I gave Harry's a very good rating and would visit again for a special occasion. In the meantime, grab a couple dozen local large Delaware Bay oysters at $11.99 /doz. +$3 oyster knife and have a party.
