Harry's Savoy Grill Ratings and Reviews
When I have visitors in from other cities and we are close to Harry's I always make the trip to take them here.
The menu is varied and very good. We were there on Wednesday night which is half price wines and also Restaurant Week. We had the crab artichoke dip which was great and three prime rib dinners and a fish selection.
All were done perfectly and very enjoyable.
Would recommend again and will be back when business takes us to this area.
I love the ambiance of Harry's. Very quiet, just special for a date night or meeting someone for the first time. Even with the live music, it was still peaceful and understand my partner over dinner. The only reason I gave a three star, the food was a bit salty for me. My partner enjoyed his food to the "T". If he could took the last drip he would..lol. I will return!!
We moved to Delaware 27 years ago, dining at Harry's our first week here. Always enjoy dining here whether a special occasion or party. Never been disappointed. Their service as well as their food is outstanding & they do an excellent job of accommodating us. Once an out-of-town guest made the reservation at Harry's Seafood Grill (unaware that there were 2 Harry's Restaurants). When we arrived & the hostess was unable to find our reservation, she contacted the Seafood restaurant, discovered the error our guest had made, & promptly seated us the Savoy (despite the crowd that evening).
It's known for Prime Rib but not this time. Signature steak excellent. So was soft shell crab. Not a fan of the sauce though. Recommended red wine very good and a nice bourbon selection Dessert worth a try as was coffee. A nice evening
Excellent service I would recommend this restaurant. Worth the price
This latest visit was not up to par. Service was horrendously slow (45 minutes to get bread on the table) and the food was disappointing. My filet was dry and chewy and served with cold, dried out mushrooms. Sending it back wasn't feasible or I would have, as it was unquestionably the worst filet I have ever had. Another in our party had au gratin potatoes that were inedibly oversalted, and she did send those back. Overall one diner out of four was satisfied with the entree quality. Big bummer.
I was disappointed in the food. The bar has a nice atmosphere. Was there on a first date so we had a drink in the bar which was fun. I got the NY strip and it was difficult to cut - ordered it MED and the temp was good, but it was very fatty. It was also smothered in greens, tomatoes, and seasonings. I don't eat a ton of red meat, but when I do, I just want to taste the steak - not a bunch on stuff smothering it. I won't be back.
This was my first but not my last time here. Food was excellent, service was exceptional. Its was on the expensive side but to me well worth the money for that quality of food and service. I and my party were extremely satified with everything. I will be back.
Our group enjoyed the delicious food and ambiance. One of our tablemates is very sensitive to odors and having a waiter, who does not wear cologne or perfume is mandatory. We request that when we make the reservation through opentable and they are prepared for our arrival. The blueberry cobbler is our favorite!
