Harry's Savoy Grill
The bar is open until 1am Monday through Saturday, and until 10pm on Sunday with a limited menu available.
This restaurant is classified as fine dining, but it isn't. My husband I were visiting Wilmington and staying at the Hotel DuPont. It was a Sunday and the other restaurants we considered were not open on Sunday.
The escargot was not up to our standards it was seasoned oddly. We both had the scallops that were served with an ODD sauce. The scallops were cooked properly but that was all I could say for this dish. The salad I ordered wasn't much there wasn't much and it seemed over-priced for the size.
The attention by the waiter very spotty as well. There isn't a whole lot to recommend for this establishment.
Had a dinner party of 9 and the service and food were excellent. The prime rib is marvelous and definitely can recommend. Our waiter did not miss a beat.
we celebrated my wife's birthday with the prime rib special. the prime rib melted in your mouth and the portions were generous. this is my second time back for the prime rib special (only on sundays)... excellent value...
This was a birthday gathering. We had wonderful service and a very attentive staff. The hostess Meghan was very helpful. A good time was enjoyed by all.
This was our second time dining at Harrys. The first time was with friends and the food was so amazing, my husband and I decided to go back for our 11 year wedding anniversary. It was a perfect choice! The food again was simply amazing, the service was professional, consistent and overall, simply wonderful. I would have liked to have had an acknowledgment of our anniversary since they did ask and make note of it when we made the reservation. I have read others who did state they did something nice, whether it be a dessert or complimentary glass of champagne for their anniversaries or other special occassions. They didn't for us, but what can you do? It was an amazing dinner, with fantastic service, and we will definitely go back again and again! Highly recommended for really great food at affordable prices....
Never disappoints. Flawless execution from host, wait, kitchen and bar teams. First class dining experience with terrific offerings from fresh seafood to choice cuts of grade A beef. Old world cocktails, thoughtful wine list and delectable side dishes compliment each meal.
Harry's is our special event go-to place. Anniversaries (I asked my wife to marry me there) and her birthday. It's always made special by the staff and we always end up in our favorite booth and a nice little dessert surprise at the end.
We go to Harry’s for a special dinner out. Food is always top notch. Our favorite of course is their Prime Rib, always done perfectly. I opted for the Pan Seared Lobster this time. We have been dining at Harry’s for at least 7 years. It is our understanding they have a new chef who has changed up the Au Gratin Potatoes served with the Prime Rib. They are these chunks of potato in a creamy sauce. Not to our liking. They used to be thinly sliced potatoes which is the norm in most restaurants. Please bring them back!! My husband ordered a different side and will continue to if the potatoes stay in chunks and so will I. The Peach Bread Pudding was delicious and as always Harry’s Signature Gelato.
Finn was an excellent server. Can’t wait to come back!
Have not been back to Harry’s in quite a while. I must say Xavier has done a wonderful job. A most outstanding meal. Best soft shells I ever had. My wife had the prime rib. Delicious! Our dessert was also good. We had a waiter named Brian. Outstanding. Everything about our meal was 5 star. Will be back. Worth every penny.
A great meal in a great restaurant. Took my son and his finance to dinner to celebrate. A perfect place for a special occasion. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, I can't say there was one particular standout. I had the Filet Oscar. It was a nice cut of beef, tender and cooked as ordered. I'm always a little disappointed with the crab on the top. It just doesn't stand up to the beef. I would prefer a small amount of crab cake which I suppose you could order.
Don't miss happy hour. Great selection of cocktails and half price small plates.
Always a great experience.
Excellent food and John was a tremendous waiter. The calamari app was very good as was my sons steak. My Rockfish was outstanding and it was Wine Wednesday so many of the bottles of wine are half price!! Definitely a repeat
Once again the prime rib was outstanding, but the salad and potatoes were very mediocre. The salad dressing tasted very fishy (Caesar) and the potatoes were undercooked chunks, not the good scalloped ones they used to have. Crème Brulee was delicious. Our waiter Eric was very nice.
The food was great!! The music could’ve been louder and more classic ie: sinatra, the decor is classic however not cozy, although the booths are perfect! We will be back, best prime rib anywhere around.
We went to see if it would work for a my mom's birthday celebration. The staff was nice, the waiter very bad and the food awful.
Wonderful service and food. Occasion to honor deceased family members. Great choice to do so. Thank you.
Everything was just excellent. Our server was wonderful!!!
We dine here often and are never disappointed. This visit was no different. There is no doubt--this is the best restaurant in North Wilmington and one of the best in Delaware. Very good food at reasonable prices.
Harry's Savoy Grill never disappoints! The two filets that were ordered were cooked to perfect medium & medium rare! Sauces were delicious and the ahi tuna appetizer was the perfect sized meal for me. The thin slice of watermelon under the tuna was a wonderful idea. We'll be back and soon!!!
It was our 50th anniversary and everything was excellent.
it was our anniversary which I specified when scheduling the table.....we have been to many high end philadelphia restaurants and they always acknowledge special occasions. There was no mention. Also portions for the lobster were quite small. Prim Rib and service were very good. Also being a special occasional was hoping for a nicer table....we were smack in the middle of the restaurants with chairs up against our chairs and slightly noisy. Not an awful experience, just was hoping for a little more.
I was a little disappointed in the bread and butter that was provided complimentary. Not sure on what planet bread as hard as a rock is acceptable and it certainly wouldn't take much to soften the butt and liven it up. Go to Robin's Nest in Mt. Holly, NJ for some lessons on the pre-meal bread. You might be surprised what a difference it makes in the dining experience. The rest of the meal was very good. But the tone had already been set. I realize the bread and butter is free, but show a little effort. And my server doesn't need to become part of my dinner party. Tone it down. If I wanted new friends I'd look around for some.
I enjoyed the atmosphere the lighting was wonderful the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu my wife had a good time love the food love the desserts a little pricey but was worth it I would go again
Harry's is always a lovely place to have a special dinner!
Food was fantastic, prices were reasonable for quality of food. Service was great! No complaints!
My grandson and I had the burgers and they were perfect and a ceasar salad as a side which was the best we have both had in a long time. Definitely a good meal
We have always loved Harry's. We come back each year to celebrate our anniversary since our reception was there as well. This year was pretty exceptional. Our server, Finn, was outstanding! He had great suggestions, was attentive without being overbearing, and everything was perfect. Our food, as usual, was amazing, as were the drinks and dessert. We love Harry's Savoy and will continue to come back time and time again.
It was good but didn’t live up to our expectations. We had their prime rib, which is what they’re known for and it was good but not remarkable. The potatoes in the potatoes au gratin weren’t cooked and the clam chowder was runny not thick as u would expect. Seemed more like potato soup. We enjoyed evening because we hadn’t been there but it didn’t live up to the hype.
We had dinner at Harry’s after several days of vacation, during which we visited many different restaurants. Customer service is exceptional, food very good. Atmosphere in main dining room is upscale; perfect for a special occasion.
My only complaint would be that on line reservations forced me to choose between 5:30 or 8:00pm, neither of which was ideal. Yet, it seemed like there were many available tables when we left the restaurant around 6:45.
Lovely waiter and wonderful fresh food!
Drew was an out standing waiter. I travel a lot for work and eat out a lot. This young man was outstanding, Friendly, and able to hold a conversation.
We went for our anniversary dinner and my complaint would be that your restaurant web site takes time to display many photos of the decor and ambiance of the dining rooms yet on a weeknight not so busy we were seated against a back wall that had no class at all; seems as though most all of your 2 seat tables are around the perimeter of the room; very disappointed with the experience. We retired here from NYC and like to pull out the stops when we go out.
Harry's has now become our regular place for special occasions. When I made the reservation for dinner to celebrate our anniversary; I was not aware it was their Tuesday Night Lobster Special - so the restaurant was pretty crowded when we arrived. We were first seated at a small table on the main floor which was very noisy from other guests (looked like a business outing), so we asked to be re-seated. We were quickly re-located to a quiet, cozier booth in the back. Ordered drinks and a clam casino appetizer which were delivered quickly. Extremely hot - but excellent. My wife and I both ordered the Lobster Special, which did not disappoint. Outstanding table service provided by Ben was friendly, quick and courteous. The restaurant's only possible drawback would be that the main floor gets incredibly noisy - outside of that, it was a perfect evening. Highly recommended.
We had the best prime rib and lobster we ever had/ We celebrated our 25th anniversary.
Harry's was excellent as usual. It is very efficient and the food is as great as advertised. There is a reason why it is constantly voted as a top restaurant in Wilmington.
The food was delicious as always. I had the grouper and my husband had the red snapper. The sauce for the grouper was wonderful. I highly recommend it. Our hot crab and artichoke dip was great as always. One of the best things about our meal was our server John. John has been our server on many occasions and he is the best !
Best prime rib I have had in many years. Friendly server and fast service. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Make sure you order the prime rib.
The prime rib was delightful. You can tell that they take great care in selecting their meat. Our server was very, very professional and the service was impeccable. Most enjoyable meal.
Outstanding. I had a old-fashioned and my wife a gimlet which were great. Then we moved onto the dinner it's self, Harry's has a 30th anniversary three-course special that is outstanding including their award winning prime rib. Recommended for many different possible locations.
