Harry's PrimeSteakhouse and Raw Bar Ratings and Reviews
Dinner with friends. Appy's were wonderful. Surf and turf crab the best I have had in Cancun. Steaks are all dine to perfection. We had servers taking extremely good care of us . We are regulars my wife best friend and myself all have personalized Steak knives . Yes we will always be back
Our 2nd visit to Harry’s and it didn’t disappoint again. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special.
The service, the food, ambience and wine choice is so good.
Our waiter Alexis was always there when we needed him and Max, the general manager made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll be back soon.
Harry's - Great steak and seafood but watch for the not always transparent up-sell - Very professional (although maybe a bit shady) and attentive wait staff - Food was delicious and the steak was one of the best we had in Cancun. Also enjoyed the Robalo Chileno Mediterraneo. Only annoyance was claim that they didn't have the tequila we ordered and of course they upsold w/out full transparency to a costlier brand (two tequilas cost more than any entree we ordered including the filet) which provided a bit of sticker shock at bill time. They also totally ignored the request for a PETITE filet. We didn't want to create a commotion after an otherwise great dining experience but want others to be aware and attuned to possible shady practices.
Although we arrived early, they gave us the table 20 min after my book time UNACEPTABLE
When we arrived theydrive us to the bar ....withonly one chair!
After us, arrived morecopule and the restaurant assigned theirtable first than us! UNACEPTABLE
I have been many times at Harry's, but I need to revaluate if I want to be treated this way....really bad experience
We have eaten here on 5 separate occasions and in the past the food has been very good. This time the Kansas City Steak I had was full of fat and not tender - very difficult to cut and chew. Definitely not worth the price of $44 USD. One member of our party had steamed broccoli sent back 3 times and it never was cooked - For a high end steakhouse the service is good as is the ambiance but the food is marginal at best. There are many other high end dining options in the hotel zone in Cancun to choose from with better food - save your money.
Have to say service recovery was unbelievable. My husband is a little hard of hearing and we sat outside directly infront of a speaker. When the music became to much for us they moved us to an inside table without any hassle or questions. Unbelievable service and really good food.
It was the worst dining experience. The food was cold, the manager insulting and the clientele was NOT five star. Being the only family of color in the entire establishment, one must question the intentionality behind the actions. Further, we witnessed the wait staff serving wine to, what appeared, very young adolescent girls at a nearby table. Thereby, we caution diners to strongly consider another selection when seeking a steakhouse in Cancun.
We asked for an outside table and ended up in a corner where they need access to extra tables. All night they were moving furniture. It had also started raining and we were getting wet due to the open area for the furniture. They finally moved our party of 5 to a 4 top. It was almost comical.
Service is good but it is very pricey. Coming from Chicago, hard to compare the steak to what we are used to. It is a nice restaurant but not for the cost
This was hands down, the best dining experience of our vacation! The food was amazing and the staff friendly. With fresh fish and amazing options for everyone in our family, we loved dining at Harry's. The scenic views and beautiful lighting makes it the perfect dining experience for any group. The complimentary cotton candy at the end was simply the icing on the cake!
We loved our filet mignon at Harry's. Five us of had it. The meat (and the garlic bread that was served first) were absolutely excellent. My only complaint was the excessively high cost of the steak and our meal. We spent about $300 on dinner for 6. Considering that we were there for less than 90 minutes, I thought that was very night. Fogo de Chao is less than that. Our service was good, but not as good as at other restaurants. And, I didn't think the desserts were great. The cheesecake was very heavy and not as tasty as I had hoped. But, we all loved the huge stick of cotton candy that each table gets complimentary at the end of the meal. That was fun. It was a good meal, but I didn't think it was worth the cost. Since this restaurant and Porforio's are owned by the same people, we opted to cancel our reservation there because I didn't want to pay excessively for another dinner like that. Oh, the atmosphere was so hip and cool but very loud music plays through the restaurant. For those hard of hearing, I wouldn't go or else risk not being able to have a conversation during dinner.
We have eaten dinner at Harry's on Christmas Eve or Christmas night for the last 10 years. This was by far the most outstanding experience, due to our waiter, Daniel and his assistant. Although they are relatively new to Harry's, they provided a wonderful, leisurely experience, guiding us to menu items we had never tried. While we always love the food at Harry's, we have sometimes felt rushed--as though the waiter is trying to turn the table. This was a perfect experience.
We had an excellent experience for a family Christmas dinner in Cancun. This was our third time to eat here over the holidays and we will return. The food was great. The service was a little slow, but our waiter kept our cocktail glasses full. Actually we didn't even notice the time gap between salads and the main course since we were enjoying the waterfront ambiance.
Harry’s was a wonderful experience for our first night in Cancun. We had a table right at the water’s edge. A lot of great touches like bringing a lamp over to read the menu (then removing it so the ambiance wasn’t disturbed). The selection of meats was great and ours were done to perfection. Highly recommend making a reservation around sunset and sitting outside, the views were great. As it got darker they turned on small lights that were in a canopy above us, creating a beautiful spectacle. The cotton candy was a fun twist!
The service and food are both amazing. Really great restaurant in Cancun for those looking to leave the resort for dinner. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Easy to take a cab from hotel. Right across from
Hard rock and secrets the vine. You can’t see it from the street. It’s almost hidden. Mexican restaurant right next to it as well. Great ambiance for a couple or group.
I am not a Harry’s first timer, whenever in Cancun I always visit. I love the service and the meat is oh so flavourful. I didn’t give it a five star only because of the renovations - it made it hard to find, a little dangerous to enter because of the wires and crews welding around us. Nothing wrong with updating your building but at the very least acknowledge it to your customers, perhaps offer them a special something for making a special effort to get there through the construction. Will I return? Of course! Who wouldn’t return to Harry’s with their wonderful wait staff and delicious cuts of meat? Did I mention the cotton candy at the end? It always delights my wife!
