We were a late reservation celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and 2 college graduations. Our server was training someone and they did a great job with our party of 10.
We had an Uber mix up so not all of our party arrived on time but the servers never rushed us or made us feel badly about it and I’m so grateful for that.
The calamari was excellent and while the entrees were fairly expensive everyone enjoyed their meals and my oldest daughter was thrilled to learn that the glass her drink came in was hers to keep!
Overall, we had a great time and showed our gratitude in the gratuity. We will return.
Wonderful. Been many times and never disappointed!
We surprised my mom for her 38th birthday because she had came to Harry’s once before. All week she was talking about seafood and wanting it badly; so I decided to look up seafood restaurants in Atlantic City and sure enough my stepdad said Harry’s is the place. The service was outstanding and our waiter was marvelous
Servers were patient with our large and challenging group.
Best oysters in town, well worth the drive or walk in Atlantic City
Great food and service. 15 people for a birthday dinner including the staff singing happy birthday. It was amazing not one complaint.
Excellent spot for a night out! Right off the boardwalk for perfect location. Excellent raw bar selections and drink options. Fresh fish prepared multiple ways! Great casual hangout!
We made a reservation for 8:00 on a Saturday night, got there and table was ready. Great service from waitress, very knowledgeable about menu and drinks. Food didn’t disappoint, great raw bar. Dinner selections were perfect, everybody, party of seven were very satisfied with food and service.
Pleasantly surprised, food was outstanding with the same quality yet much cheaper than docks oyster house (same owners). Raw bar was excellent. Will definitely return.
Menu offers dinners as well as sandwiches. Our group of 8 all had dinners, and all were prepared perfectly. The clam bake is a must try, for $37 you get a half lobster, 3 huge scallops, 4-5 Jumbo shrimp, 6+ clams, 6+ mussels, various varieties of fish, sausage, corn on the cob all served in a fantastic broth in a hot pot. This is one of the most expensive meals on the menu, but worth every penny. Most other entrees are very reasonable, portions were great.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic. Our server was polite and went above and beyond to make a special connection. We will be back!
Food was very good, and the staff was attentive. I always prefer a little too much time between courses then getting served too quickly. Harry's took the time between courses to the extreme. Our table never ordered dessert due to the excessive time between appetizers and entrée. All food was hot except the vegetable with the entrées, which were room temperature to cold.
Service and food were very good. We will be back had no problems with 10 people. Price is reasonable.
We've always had good service here, but the other night was extraordinary in terms of service and food. We had the most amazing server - Melody! Ask for her next time you're in, you won't be sorry.
We had wonderful service and a great meal. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable. The only small complaint I had would be that the entire meal seemed to be soaked in garlic and tons of butter...which makes everything delicious...but it didn't need so much. Otherwise very highly recommend!
We had a fun night out with outdoor music and great food!
We come here every year on vacation- always great food and service....only negative is no refills on drinks.
We were seated quickly but the server took a while to get our order. The food arrived quickly and was good but not necessarily exceptional. Mixed drinks were pricey. Great indoor and outdoor bar.
Overall nice experience. We arrived at 445pm for dinner which was perfect by 6pm it was packed and noisy. Also, the poor servers were overwhelmed when it got busy. Whoever scheduled their tables assingments was a mess. One server was on one side of restaurant, then the next serving table completely on other side of restaurant. However they all chipped in and helped eachother!! Very nice servers and that's why we will definitely go back!
Ok, there was a long black hair on one of the oysters. NOT a good way to start a meal. It's called looking at what you are about to serve, quality control. The rest of the meal was just ok at best, not horribly bad but certainly not great either. The vegetables and potatoes were marginally warm. Maybe I convinced myself that they were warm. My fish was warm, not hot, but at least warm. Not likely to return there. In fact upon leaving my wife said, "that experiment is over."
Favorite Shore restaurant. Great with kids!
Go all the time!!
Our servers were great but the food was not. We chose this restaurant from the good reviews and high rank on trip advisor but it was very disappointing and over priced.
We enjoyed excellent food and service. The calamari was the best I have ever had! Great salads, cocktails, fresh seafood... and get the key lime pie! I don't usually do dessert, but in this case, I'm so glad I did. The veggies that came with my meal were so perfectly done.
Great food, service and value. The Doughertys sure know what they're doing... In all of their restaurants.
We have been going to Harry's since it opened and have always enjoyed it. This last time was not the same. The inside seems to be getting run down a little. Server was nice but not very professional. The food is always ok but we go bAck because we like the outdoor dining and bar.
Our meal was wonderful. The seafood was fresh and delicious; clams, oysters, crab cakes, tuna and calamari. Loved the presentation. Drinks were strong and refreshing. My Mojito was so tasty and above all, Susan , our server was outstanding. Have been here before and will be going back again. Great spot. It was my pick and my party was very pleased. 👍👍
50th bday dinner with a party of 12 as everything was great and of course the oysters were a hit. Def a must do when in AC
Stopped in for soup and salad. Caesar salad is very good. Lettuce is always fresh and dressing is tasty. Soups are all excellent...it's difficult to choose which one to order. The crab and corn chowder is spicy but we love it! Both styles of the clam chowder are flavorful and have plenty of clams. It can get a little noisy and the room overlooking the boardwalk is pretty cold in the winter months so they run space heaters which don't help much. We eat here every time we are in Atlantic City and have never been disappointed.
Had dinner here for Restaurant Week. Our party had 4 people in it. Unfortunately, our server was not the best. He left soiled dishes from our appetizers on the table for a long time even though he passed by the table several times & the room was not that busy at all. The same thing happened with our dinner plates. They were not cleared in a timely fashion either.
He didn't even ask me how I wanted my Salmon cooked until the very end when he was entering the information into his computer. I did not realize I had 3 options: grilled, pan roasted or blackened. He only said to me "do you want the Salmon grilled?" Also he didn't let me know there were 5 choices for the accompanying sauce with the Salmon. I must have gotten the lemon buerre blanc because it was a thin white sauce in a small cup on the side. I would have preferred one of the other choices (tomato vinaigrette, white wine & herb, black bean & corn salsa or teriyaki) had I known.
At the end of the meal I asked my dining companions about their food. All 3 said their food had come out cold. I had no idea that this had been the case since no one had said anything. My food, while not hot, had come out warm. One of my friend's Caesar Salads was so full of garlic that she couldn't even eat it. Luckily she was able to get a cup of hot tea instead for no added charge. No tea or coffee comes with the meal & no refills on ice tea were available. We will not be rushing back to Harry's Oyster Bar. Overall , we were all disappointed.
Absolute gem. So glad we found this place and tried it out. All of the seafood was amazing. Great spot for oysters on the half shell.
Experience wasn't great. Employees and servers seemed overwhelmed at noon. Food not as good as before. Server stated "impossible" do to seperate checks for party of 10
The server informed us of an Octoberfest special of Wiener schnitzel, Spaetzle and German stle green beans. When the dinner was served it only had schnitzel & Beans. We asked the server about the missing spaetzel and he did not know. He asked and was told the person who made the spaetzel did not come in. They offered other starches but the disappointment was evident in my guest faces.
Everyone from the front desk to the waiter was friendly and attentive. Service was excellent and I have already recommended it at least 15 times. We were a party of 5 and we all loved it . We will be back
Service was outstanding! Staff very attentive and able to describe food options.
The food was bar/pub style food, but the service was good and accommodating.
Room was to dark. Could not see what you were eating. We asked for more light and server turned up the lights and the manager turned them back down. Would not come for dinner after five in summer and never in winter. We all like seeing what we were eating. We were all over 60 and this was no way to treat guest.
It was very crowded. We had 8 people. Our appetizer's came quickly but when our meals came one was missing. It literally took 10 minutes for the crab cakes to arrive and there wasn't any explanation. They did comp it but it was uncomfortable for the entire party.
From the lovely hostess to our server, Faday, our dining experience was awesome!!!
Food was dry and overcooked. We were hungry so ate the food vs complaining. Visit was disappointing since it was a special occasion. Service was good. :-)
Pour waitress, Shannon, was great. The food was good. My reservation was for 20 people. Luckily, one couple did not show, otherwise, this table for 18 would not have accommodated us. The temperature was very warm where we were seated. Also, bathroom accommodations are poor, in that only 3 stalls for all those people! Otherwise, good time had by all.
I used to be a big fan of Harry's! Was one of my favorite . When I became gluten free I was devastated over the fact that there wouldn't be much if anything for me to eat there . However I found out they had a gluten free menu! However the menu isn't all that it seems . The nachos are listed on the menu and the server informed me that the cheese sauce actually has flour in it . Major buzz kill. And then after ordering a salad off the gluten free menu it showed up with croutons all over it. I would also like to add the past two times I've dined there the service was so poor. So slow, and all together not organized . Such a bummer since Harry's was one of favorite shore spots!
