Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
Waited 30 minutes after arrival to get seated despite having reservations. After being sat waited another 20 minutes for water and start of service. Waiter was condescending to all he waited on. Thanksgiving “buffet “ had empty trays that were never refilled ( who runs out of sweet potatoes?)
The food was amazing the service was terrible the waitressed paid no attention to us she was so
Slow. We sat down at around seven the entire party was seated at about 710 we did not leave till 1015 drinks were sporadic the food took forever she paid no attention to us after dinner we were waiting for menus for dessert and coffee and took her another 20 minutes to even offer it she was awful
First time at Harry Caray's, and it won't be the last! The menu was surprising interesting with selections of steaks, chops, and pasta. The side dish of corn brulee was sweet and tasty. The steaks were made as ordered. Servers we accommodating and attentive.
I had a reservation for the dinning area. I got there early and the girl at the desk said the dinning room wasn't opened yet. I should just sit and eat in the bar its a full dinner menu served there.
I told her I had a reservation for the dinning room and wont mind waiting since I had someone with me that had never experienced the restaurant. she then told me I might as well eat in the bar the restaurant was over booked.
Okay the restaurant is over booked, not opening for 15 minutes and no one was ahead of me waiting. I find this to be a problem.
Nicole was our server in the bar. she did a great job. but that's not the point.
The girl was snotty, I had a reservation , I wasn't a walk in.
I guess I will be going else where when I am in the Rosemont area.
The food wasn't like it used to be. i think they switched chefs or something.
Go some where else, I don't recommend this location any more.
The food was very good, but we were not super impressed with the waitstaff. He came around a bit, but was put off by the fact that we knew what we wanted to order and that he didn't get to read the specials in full. He got a bit of an attitude with us about it. It was more passive aggressive. I'm in the service industry, so I take note of these things. If you're paying $30 for an entree, you shouldn't be dealing with an annoyed waiter for no apparent reason. Other than that, the food came out quickly and was delicious. Was the perfect location for seeing a show at the Arena.
Odd location - inside a Holiday Inn. Were told bread and oil would be delivered, but never was until we asked about it and it arrived with our meals. Wrong mashed potatoes were served with meal. Ordered the special with was grilled filet - a lot of fat. It was not worth the price. My water glass was not filled the entire night until the check arrived - ended up having to drink husband's water during meal. Not worth the price.
Had a very nice evening and dinner Saturday night. The fried calamari appetizer is by far the best you will find anywhere. Surf and turf was exceptional also. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the entrees and was quite attentive also. Overall a great dining experience.
Brought two guests from Mexico City. They had never been to this restaurant before. These are people who do a lot of travelling, and have eaten at many fine restaurants. They were VERY pleased with the entire evening, the quality of the food and the service.
Consistently terrific experience at this Harry Caray's location. The steaks and Italian dishes are phenomenal, but so are the seafood options! Whitefish oreganato in particular is really, really, really good. Service is spot-on, management is friendly, and ambiance is great, with a lovely dining room, fun bar, and lots of awesome baseball memorabilia to check out.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch outside on a beautiful day with my two adult sons. Harry Caray's is a favorite family spot for us and we always enjoy an excellent meal with great service. After taking a walk at a local forest preserve, we returned for a fun beginning of the Cub's game at their bar with lots of TVs for viewing sports.
The food was outstanding and our waiter Edgar was excellent. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday or just to have a great dinner. Plan on returning in the near future.
I give them 5 stars and if there was a 10 star
Rating that wouldn't be enough stars.
Portions are generous, seasoned perfectly.
Every thing went well except the seating. Someone had seated my guest before I got there. So the Open Table Reservation was no longer in their table seating system. I showed my Open Table Reservation on my mobile phone. They asked if maybe it was one of their other locations etc. 10 minutes later I was a seated. 5 minutes later a waiter came up and said he thinks there may have been a mix up as the person I was meeting saw me seated at another table nearby. I was then brought to his table which was my reservation. It was annoying for them not to have my reservation and delaying our get together by 15 minutes. They had the reservation but it no longer displayed when they seated my guest five minutes before I arrived. I had not seen my guest in 42 years! Luckily he looked at my photo on LinkedIn to confirm what I looked like.
