Harry & Izzy's - Northside Ratings and Reviews
We really enjoyed our dinner at Harry & Izzy’s for three distinct reasons. First, the ambience is wonderful. From the moment you walk in, you know the place is extra special. Second, the service is fantastic! It never fails, the staff is top notch! Lastly, the food is prepared to perfection. I won’t even mention the desserts (the bread pudding is over the top) because this review is G-rated. Overall, if you’re looking for a special place to dine, Harry & Izzy’s is the place.
The food was only marginally better than an average steak house. The server was attentive and accommodating. I would not recommend this restaurant because it is far too expensive for the quality of food. My steak was not cooked properly and had to be put back on the grill. This should not happen at such an expensive restaurant. The server apologized, although it was not her fault, and offered us free dessert.
Just had an AMAZING Anniversary meal at the 82nd St. Location. As always, the shrimp cocktail was fabulous, fillet and scallops and aged prime ribeye on point, and the Woodford Reserve bread pudding was to die for. Request to be with Staci, she and her team made the dining experience sensational!!!
We went for my son's birthday. The steaks were not cooked to order and the waitress never asked how they were after they were delivered to the table. I had the scallops and they were delicious. The steaks and wait staff at Charlestons are much better at half the price. Still gave 4 stars for overall experience.
We always love going to Harry & Izzy's. This time around, my son left his baby blanket on the floor beneath our table. I was able to call them when we got home, and they located it for us. They held onto it for us to come get it the next day.
The service was great, food is always delicious, and we love Harry & Izzy's for all occasions.
Great service- Hands down some of the best servers in town!!! I love the apps and the drink selection is just right. My steak unfortunately was overcooked, which has never happened there before. I still highly recommend the place; get the steak sliders at some point in your life.
This was my first time at the North Side Harry and Izzy's I absolutely LOVE the one downtown and this one definitely lived up to the name. The food was fantastic, service was great. I have absolutely no complaints. Of course there was St Elmo's Shrimp Cocktail.
We think the quality has tanked exponentially since they introduced the new menu, the food hasn’t been the same. We used to go quite often but now there are better options. The shrimp cocktail and the spicy meatballs are still excellent though. Only items that are worth ordering. Go somewhere else for steak.
One of the best steaks I have ever had. The steaks are pricey of course, but that is the going rate for the high end steakhouses. The shrimp cocktail lived up to expectations. The Ceasar salad was very good and the cheesecake was outstanding. Also, the service was
Quick check in and seating with reservation. Upper level was VERY warm. Uncomfortable at times. My food was not very good. Potato pancakes were hard. Brussels sprouts were too large and very tough. They had over seasoned with red pepper which left them uneatable. They did take these items off our bill. Three toasted ravioli appetizer was $12! Overpriced for the quality.
I usually love Harry & Izzy’s. This time I brought and out of town friend who has heard me rave about it many times. We are sat in a dark corner where there wasn’t even room for our arms and the table was severely wobbling. Not one to be a complainer, my companion pulled the table away from the wall - I asked to be re-seated bc it was very uncomfortable. I felt incredibly.l cramped and I’m a small woman. We were seat again without issue but then my guests steak came severely undercooked. Again he would’ve eaten. It was very disappointing. The wait staff and management were great. The kitchen a however needs some help and the seating arrangement was very poor to shove a 2-top in the back corner of the room behind the bar. Only small children would begin to feel comfortable having a meal in the corner there. My first - but very - disappointing trip to this establishment. Mostly I’m sad that my friend will likely never be interested in coming back.
I went to Harry's with my friends for dinner. We had the shrimp cocktail and calamari for appetizers. They were great. We also had the ribye for dinner along with mashed potatoes. I had ordered my ribye to be medium rare. Although it was very juicy, I thought that the meat was quite fibrous and lacked in taste.
