There were 4 of us first dinner. All of us really enjoyed our meals from the appetizers to the entrees. Two of my friends are vegan. They totally enjoyed the veggies.
My husband and I had such a wonderful meal at Harriman's recently. There are few restaurants in the DC area that exemplify such refined service and food that is superb in both taste and presentation. After finally being able to dine out properly after getting a Covid vaccination, it was a real treat to visit Harriman's. Everything we ordered, from the salads to the entrees to the desserts, was delicious...and just the right portion size. I highly recommend both the generously sized Local Greens salad with candied peanuts and aged cheddar and the Caesar Salad. We also loved our Signature Entree choices: the Maine Diver Scallops which are served in a large seashell amongst a "fog" of dry ice (beautiful!) and the Gnocchi with lobster and corn. Dessert was the icing on the cake, with both of us enjoying the Blueberry Madeline and work of art Milk Chocolate Namelaka. This restaurant is a must visit for a special occasion...or just a wonderful night out! And the resort overall is unparalleled.
I can’t say enough about our experience tonight at Harrimans. First and foremost, what a wonderful team. We walked in and literally everyone we passed welcomed us to the restaurant. Our server, Anna, was fabulous. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, gave great menu and wine pairing advice… and when we couldn’t find room for dessert, sent us home with chocolate truffles. Ask for one of her tables and you won’t regret it… we will again, every time!
The surf and turf was an magical. A lovely cook on the 16oz tenderloin, but what I’ll really remember is the seasoning… as good as we’ve ever had (and we’ve had plenty). Topped with crab Oscar (flat out the best I’ve ever had) plus lobster tail and claws. It was absolutely splendid. We enjoyed the Hunter sauce in particular with it, and for sides, were thrilled with the mushrooms and potato puree (smoother than mashed potatoes, but with enough substance to stand alone… delicious).
For a fancy dinner out, you won’t find better. Enjoy!
We have enjoyed Harrimans several times and everything was excellent.
On two other occasions we were fortunate to have Anna as our waitress and therefore requested her for our Anniversary dinner. She remembered us and was courteous, attentive and knowledgeable
Unfortunately, our meals did not meet the past standard. We chose "Surf & Turf"
The lobster was good but overpowered by the sauce where drawn butter would have sufficed. We never never really found the crab and the steak was the quality of Giant Food, full of gristle and fat.
Dessert was also a letdown.
My wife and I hope it returns to the quality we received before.
Treated myself to a fabulous 50th birthday dinner by dining at Harriman’s for the first time. Everything recommended by my server Patrick was fantastic. One recommendation…it would have been a nice touch for my birthday to be acknowledged by simply writing “Happy Birthday” on my dessert plate. Didn’t need a song and Patrick did tell me happy birthday but that would have made it even more special for myself and I’m sure others who may visit for the same reason.
Wonderful dining experience at a terrific resort property. I will go again.

It is a beautiful place. The service was excellent and the food was great.
We were hoping for a lovely romantic dinner for two. Unfortunately, we received extremely poor service and very average food. We had to ask two times to receive bread. My appetizer arrived incorrectly and had to be redone. And my entree, the scallops, were inedible. Went to bed hungry!!!
Great birthday dinner
Online menu prices differ from on-site menu. Seafood portions are small and overpriced- not worth purchasing. Quality of everything was excellent.

I was having breakfast with two small children and was led to sit in the cooking class area which is away from the main dining area. There were open seats available in the dining area but I assumed they were for other parties even though I had a reservation. Other diners came in and were seated in the main dining room and only one other family with children were brought into the same room I was eating in. The service wasn’t as good as previous days eating at the restaurant and I felt a bit forgotten about. It just felt odd being seated away from everyone else and I thought it was because I had small children. The food was fine but the overall experience left something to be desired.

Wonderful Leisurely Breakfast! The restaurant is comfortable and the service is exceptional. We started with scrumptious Monkey Bread then moved on to delicious entrees, Classic Eggs Benedict and a Denver omelette each of which arrived with perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes. This was our second visit and we plan to go again in the fall and we expect another great experience.

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The team that served us was Anna & Carolina - hands down they were the best team that I have experienced in the last 20 years - they were incredible!

Great experience for our whole family! My 2 younger kids ( 5 year-old and 9 year-old) really enjoyed the breakfast food, although moreso the monkey bread!! They want to go back just for the monkey bread! It was also a beautiful experience sitting outdoors with the resort greenery in site.
It was a spectacular meal and experience. We had Scallops and Sea Bass both exquisitely prepared and presented. We did order the leek gratin which was extremely salty. Our waiter exchanged for the toasted cauliflower and that was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or celebratory dinner. Would happily go again
We were disappointed with the scarcity of vegan options- particularly among the entrees. We were able to compose a meal from several side dishes eliminating cheeses. Our waiter was very helpful and accommodating in helping us with selections, however we thought a restaurant of this repute should have better vegan options. Liked the mocktails.

We were there to celebrate special occasions. Brad, our server, and Crystal, the sommelier, totally got that, made helpful suggestions and created a great atmosphere. All the food was delicious. We are fans of the surf and turf for two - a great way to sample beef and seafood, sauces and sides. The bread service was especially amazing - fresh and delicious, sweet and savory. We’ll definitely return.

Incredible food, service, and ambience! I thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass and was impressed with the wine selection. The sommelier Catherine is outstanding in her wine recommendations and Executive Chef Bill and Sous Chef Jose came by to ensure our meal was exactly like we wanted it and the wait staff was equal in their service. Absolutely PERFECT!!
We went for dinner to while on vacation. I Ordered the 14oz NY strip which arrived cold, Risotto was dry and over cooked. To top it off the dessert was not the one ordered. I’ve dined out enough to know that you do not send food back to the kitchen. The make good attempt was a tiny box containing two (2) dark chocolate truffles. No make good in the check. Diner is way overrated. Perhaps they should stick to breakfast and quick bites only.
Overall a good meal, but not worth a $125 prix fixe brunch. I had booked brunch nearly 2 months in advance and was under the impression the Sunday Brunch was $79. When my group of 4 arrived on May 9th, which yes, is Mother's Day, Harrimans had a $125 menu. Nowhere on the website was it listed, and I even called and left a message and no one called me back to confirm my reservation. I pointed this out to the hostesses and they did not offer to make any accommodations. Restaurants should post their special price menus transparently on their websites. My group and I were OK with paying the premium price, but not all diners are.
We enjoy coming here for a special event! Whether it’s birthday or anniversary. This was our first Mother’s Day brunch and we love it!!! We will definitely come back for brunch!
Food did not have much flavor. Service was nice but odd and slow.

Food was just not good. Kitchen and staff were off. First steak was over cooked and second was under cooked. Sides had no real taste. Risotto was tasteless. Mushrooms were overcooked. Caesar salads were bland with non Caesar tasting dressing. Drinks were not good. Need better recipes and better skilled bartenders and chefs.
Amazing food and service! Our waitress even provided a blanket when it became chilly outside. Great day at Salamander!!
