The food is really good and the service was awesome. Highly recommend the calamari. Best calamari I’ve had. The tuna stack and mahi or shrimp tacos (patio only) are also really good. We come here pretty regularly and have never had a bad experience. They are very kid friendly and have a great coloring menu for the kids.

I had the shrimp and chips. The shrimp and fries were good but the coleslaw tasted “spoiled”. I was unable to eat it. However, the tartar sauce was the best I’ve ever had. If they sold it in a jar I would purchase it. We sat on the patio and it was about 10-15mins before we were greeted. A server told us our actual server was very busy so they were going to take our order. We never heard from our “actual” server but the server we had did provide good customer service. I also had a Mai Tai, it was unique and different than what I expected. However, it was okay and extremely strong which was good.

Order the Coconut Shrimp! You will not be disappointed. Great restaurant overlooking the Dana Point Harbor. We will definitely be back the next time we are on our way to Catalina!

Ordered the shrimp and chips and fish and chips, both were fresh, nice batter on both and fried to perfection. Also had a bowl of their clam chowder, that was packed with clams to the point of being a little thick, but very tasty. Service was good and overall, prices were reasonable and better priced than other locations. The only dig is the online menu prices are not the same as the actual prices at the restaurant ;so they should correct that aspect.

Met cousins for lunch, we hadn’t been together in 32 years. Waitress was fantastic and very patient with us as we talked a little before ordering. She gave us all great recommendations and was spot on. The food was delicious and we cannot wait to go again. 10/10

We arrived early and were promptly seated at a window table. Our server Nathan was very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. We both ordered the crab cake appetizers that were very tasty. For our entree, we chose the Australian lobster tails which were presented and served to our delight. We enjoyed this anniversary dinner and plan to come back to Harpoon Henry’s Seafood Restaurant more often.

I was disappointed in the overall experience period the food was fair and my halibut was overcooked. The hostess when we arrived was confused. And couldn't figure out the priority seating for someone with a reservation. Our waiter michael was outstanding but the rest of the experience was marginal. The decor was dated but the view over the harbor was very pretty

We’ve been going to Harpoon Henry’s for decades. It’s great for couples, friends, and family get-togethers. I miss their grilled shrimp dinner, however our Server (Shawn) recommended coconut shrimp, which can be turned into an entree w/asparagus and fries or garlic mashed. Shawn the right amount of attentive, and super polite.

My wife and I wanted to experience the Dana Point Harbor over an early dinner. We made a last minute reservation and we're seated at a booth with an large picture window overlooking the Harbor. There is outdoor seating that we would rather have seated but we didn't have that choice because we booked so late. I'd recommend you book ahead and reserve an outside table for an authentic Harborside experience. Hosts and servers were very attentive and helpful. The halibut we had was fresh, tender and flakey. The asparagus spears were large but surprisingly tender and full of taste. The restaurant would be perfect for a family outing of all ages. The prices were reasonable for a fresh seafood restaurant in a prime view location.

We eat here often. This last time my friend got sick right after eating and thought it was her shrimp salad. I ate exactly the same things she did and I felt fine. So to be fair, we aren't certain where the problem was. She isn't willing to go back there for a long while and is also not eating shrimp anymore. Other than that, we had an excellent time and love this venue for the ambiance, which is off the charts!

Disappointed that restaurant seating is mostly booths. Just don’t like the confined feeling of booths. Also surprised that the restaurant does not take American Express. That’s all I carry when I am traveling.

If you are looking for a great restaurant on Dana Point Harbor, then this is the place for you. Whether dining inside or outside, the views are great. The food was excellent and the service was great. There is a nice selection of seafood dishes to choose from. The outside dining area is dog friendly. Reservations are taken for the inside dining areas, but not for the outside dining space. I made a reservation, but our party wanted to sit outside. We went to the outside hostess stand and it was only about a 10 minute wait for a table, even though it was very busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
