We have a quick meal after some long driving. We choose few appetizers , calamari and pork and this was not very tasty specialy the calamari . It was more breading stuff than calamari. I took chicken quésadillas, pretty good . A little bit overpriced for what it was.
The food is always good. Service is excellent and our waiter was attentive and friendly.
The best part was we could have a conversation and not compete with loud background music.
Good location and we didn't have to pay for parking.
My sister and I came here for the Easter Buffet Brunch.
Food quality and variety is good but service needs improvement. After I was shown to my table I expected someone would come before too long to take orders for beverage. I kept looking around but no one came and I had to get the receptionist to get my waiter.
Service was friendly but not attentive. We had to get our waiter to clear the dirty plates after each round. If we did not ask, nobody would come. Same for beverage refills. Nobody would just offer without my asking.
About half an hour after we started eating, another waitress who did not wait on us just brought our check over. I guess she must be in the same team as our waiter. It would be nicer if they waited till we were almost done with eating before leaving the check on the table.
The restaurant was 3/4 full when we were there so they were not that busy after all. I was expecting a higher standard of service. Anyway we still left an ok tips buffet standard.
Again, they are friendly just not attentive. I will give the place a second chance.
We had a very enjoyable evening here with friends. Two people had the meatloaf that they said was delicious. I enjoy d the Cobb salad. The service was excellent .
The fine out meal was a little underwhelming... I had been to Harold’s before and the food was excellent. The appetizer was not described well and we were all expecting something different than what came( goat cheese flan). None of us were expecting a cold dish. The main was very good, good steak and nice mash and veggies. The dessert was very plain and not anything more special than a supermarket cake.
Overall the meal was still good but considering I had been there before with great experiences, this time was a little lack lustre.
Went here for dineout Vancouver. The appies were delicious. Unfortunately, it was only sample size which was disappointing. For the main I got the steak. It was ok. My bf ordered the creole shrimp. It was good. For dessert the white chocolate mousse had no flavour. The apple pie was great. The service was ok. Could have been better. Overall, I would not recommend this place for dine out Vancouver. It is not worth $30, especially for the sample appetizer size, you are essentially paying what you would normally pay for the entire meal.
We went for casual family Friday night dinner. Server is great - always with happy smile :)
I wish that on Sundays, your breakfast buffet will extend its hours to 11:00am? Thanks.
We liked the food options, value and quiet that we can listen and talk.
I have been to Harold's a few times with family. We usually have young kids with us and they are so accommodating and kid-friendly. We also have elderly people who dine with us and it is a perfect spot as it is a large space so it does not get loud so we can hear each other easily. The food is just OK, nothing exceptional, but the service is great!
I appreciated they allowed us to bring in our own favorite birthday cake , with good services, and free Parking too.
I personally enjoy lunch there with friends to spend a weekend afternoon there.
Would love to have more variety or changes in manual every quarter or 6 months. 😀👌
As always, a great meal.
Great dinner with my grandson. Food was great and the service was great. The waiter was very accomadating. Will be back.
It's always our family tradition to have buffet brunch on Christmas day. Experience tells us that no matter where we go there'll always be lineups, crowded seating, rushed and hasty service. This is our first time trying Harold's at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport. To our surprise right upon arrival, the maitre d' was friendly, well organized, and with the assistance of few other hostsses, all patrons waiting at the lobby were well under control (even with groups as large as 18ppl). We're seated promptly at our reservations. Dining area was bright and very spacious (in comparison with some 4-star downtown hotels with jam-packed tables arrangement) . Food was not exceptional, but considered good quality for the price we paid, not plenty of varieties, but adequate for that capacity of the restaurant. Even though we were at the 2nd seating (only 2 seating times on Xmas day), food was frequently replenished until nearly 3pm. Service was good, though a bit slow at times (but hey it's Xmas day). Waiters/waitresses all took time to have small talk with patrons and not rushing to collect plates or serving coffee/tea. Overall, we enjoyed our Xmas lunch at the Harold's very much. No doubt we'll recommend this place to our friends.
Good service and good good
love this place. a good go to place when you can't decide on where to eat. haven't been disappointed yet.
The service is all that counts. It's excellent! Thank you
The food is fabulous! I will, however, recommend less salt, especially on the lamb dish.
very yummy surf and turf menu on Monday night. Great value
New York Steaks really yummy and the service was amazing
It was an amazing evening to celebrate my birthday with my BFF's!! Harold, in person came to greet me, with a hug & selfie!! It's awesome to be with the Richmond Legend! Food and service always outstanding! Henry our server was very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!
Completed disappointed tonight...
All around excellent great food and great service we will definetly be back and we even saw Harold eating dinner that night
We have been coming to Harold's for years, and our latest brunch for Mother's Day did not disappoint. Excellent food, outstanding service.
We went for the Mother's Day buffet and it was a pleasant experience. Great selection of cold and hot food and, comparatively speaking, good value for money.
A very nice neighborhood restaurant, all the service staff were very friendly especially our server ( Patty M ) whom made us very comfy. The food were tasty and appetizing ! Good place !
Good pub food: love their nachos. Not overly crowded for sports event.
Dine out Vancouver -- food and service not as good as usual!
We frequent this restaurant and is one of our favourite place To go. Aside from the great food they serve, the service is awesome. Jo and Darren are both our fave, friendly and greet us by our first names.
Thank you guys for always making our visit fun.
We enjoy the food and service, normally in Chinese New Year we go for Chinese food, this time the dineout period and the Chinese New Year are very close,so we have more choice and the turn out is very good. Will do again next time.
Starter was good
Never had fettuccine Alfredo in sweet cream sauce
Went for their Xmas night buffet and it was excellant!!
My friend and I enjoyed Christmas dinner on the 25th. I have only one complaint in that the food could have been hotter, I do understand with a buffet that can be an issue. We drove from Vancouver, it was easy to get to, we parked right outside the door and it was free, which is always a bonus.
Compared to last Christmas brunch, this time was really not that great. Service was good.
Hostess and Waiter was very friendly.
We enjoyed a very nice, quiet dining experience here. The food was good and we had received good service. Lovely ambiance.
Went for thanksgiving special menu. It was extremely good.
We had heard about Harold's and after reading about the menu, felt we had to go. Fartune at reception was professional and guided us to our table with a lovely view of the courtyard and pool area. Greeted then by Kori who guided us through the menu and the evening's featured dishes. We happened upon a night when numerous youth hockey teams were in the hotel, so unfortunately as the noise level raised, Kori offered to move us to a quieter area...thank you! Te meal was delicious. Homemade soups, Lamb Shank was perfect, Bread Pudding dessert is a must. Generous portions of Ravioli in a delightful sauce. Top notch service from Fartune and Kori. Bravo !
One of the best in Richmond, probably Richmond's best kept secret.
Our first course (appy) was a shared order of calamari which was extremely tender and lightly fried and served with 2 delicious dips. My wife ordered the salmon which was served with a lemon cream sauce and was nice and moist (not overcooked). I had the barbequed ribs which were really tender and flavorful. The vegetables weren't overcooked and had lots of flavour. For desert we shared the mini doughnuts with ice cream and a caramel sauce. It was good but a little too rich for my tastes. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. All in all a very nice evening out and yes, I would go back.
