Our Cocktails took a while to arrive although they were Good My friend ordered the Salmon and I Fried Chicken The Salmon was delicious and cooked to Perfection The texture and taste perfect The chicken was good.Golden Brown and favorable I ordered a salad and beans and rice..The beans came with a little rice The beans were mushy and okay I didn't care for them .The salad was a house salad prepared. Overall the food was flavorful. The service fine.Glad I had the experience
Just wonderful love it I will tell everyone I know about this place thanks to Steve Harvey for telling me about it on his show Steve you are a great person
The Host/Greeter gave our party and exciting & warm greeting when we came through the door, she made us feel welcomed and took us immediately to our reserved table. Our Server, Jhalia was extraordinary, she was friendly, quick and efficient with our order which came to us quickly and correct. The remodeling effort to the restaurant interior since last I visited the spot was very warm and open, the lighting rocks from the past experiences which rooms were much darker. Overall a great Easter Sunday dining experience, we celebrated my Son's promotion to Vice President at a prominent Los Angeles Bank. He truly enjoyed the tasty food and the fresh beignets being a native of Louisiana. Big thanks to Jhalia and the staff of Harold and Belles for making our visit a pleasant one. We will be back. The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The service in the bar and the restaurant was excellent. They were friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely go back.
Server and bar tender were amazingly wonderful! Love this place!
good food and seated on time with the reservation, will return the only complaint is that i was never brought salad that was ordered before dinner but food itself was great
We had a nice lunch (party of 5) and were able to relax with great conversation. The problem we had was the waiter. She was unable to give our party indivual checks nor one check separated per individual order. It put a damper on our fun lunch having to sit there and calculate our individual meals, tax and tip. That doesn’t seem to be an issue at other restaurants we frequent. Their computer software needs to be updated to make that a convenience for their customers.
The food was flavorable but served cold. The server forgot our appetizer and served someone else bread but not us. The server was also the bartender and he did not make a good cosmo. I swear he put vermouth in my cosmo. What????? I don't get it. The live music was amazing. We could not carry a convo.
Wonderful place. Dim the lights and you will have a wonderful ambience!
Celebrated my husband's birthday with family. food and service was excellent.
Food was amazing! PoBoys jumbo shrimp & red snapper were mouth watering but the best thing on the menu is hands down the bread pudding!!! Can't wait to return.
I loved our waitress Taylor. She was so nice and pleasant. And the food for scrumptious. Harold and Belle's is where you go when you want some down home Creole food.
The food here was so delicious omg I loved it ! The service is a bit slow . So if you’re in a hurry you will be agitated but well worth the wait .
Very authentic Creole dishes. Services is friendly and professional, and helpful in recommending specific dishes. The char-broiled oysters are the reason we keep returning. They are amazing!!!!
Haven't been in a while but the food was so good! I wish the gumbo has a no pork option and larger crab. At least snow crab
Harold & Belle's is always a good choice for a casual or formal dinner. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The food is good, and the prices are very competitive.
They've maintained a tradition of offering delicious Creole cuisine, but some items are not as great as one would hope.
For instance, they serve flattened shrimp that isn't fresh as it should be as they serve tartar sauce with the deep, hard fried crab cake. These were not up to par.
On the upside, the catfish never disappoints.
While I enjoyed the food the service was awful. Greeted immediately by friendly hostess then downhill from there. The waitress was not attentive and we had to place our order with the host.
Exceptional!!!! Best Fried Seafood in LA!! Great Oyster Options Fried & Charbroiled--Never liked Oysters prepared any way at all until tried them here from a friend's plate TWICE. Now I order them on my own. And Great Creole style gumbo! (get the samll bowl first...delicious but Alot!
I Drive here from an hour (minimally) away at least once a month it's so good...twice in January!!!
We originally secured a 9:30p reservation on Open Table, and the manager called and asked us to move it to 8p so they could close early. No problem. Upon arrival - and we were six minutes late, the hostess asked us to wait at the front for a few minutes while she got approval to seat us. The place was fairly empty, but we waited an additional seven minutes for someone to greet and offer us beverages.
The waitress was nice. The food was good, but did not have the same love it normally does. My shrimp etouffe was tasty, but lukewarm. We did not say anything because we could tell they were trying to get out of there. The staff were hustling back and forth cleaning up. There were a few tables around us closing their tabs as we were waiting for our food, and after they left the staff became anxious. Every time we looked up, a man was standing in the kitchen threshold or walking past our section checking his watch. It made us feel rushed and a little uncomfortable, so we quickly finished our food; but we were hoping to have a few drinks and dessert, so we went somewhere else to finish our meal.
When I originally made the reservation, I added a note that we recently got married and this was our first holiday as a couple. Was not expecting anything major, but did think the manager that called and mentioned our nuptials would have stopped by or told our server to extend a congratulations. That personal touch and care is what brings people back. This was not my first time at Harold & Belle's, so I know the quality and full experience we would have received.
We had the last seating for the night on New Year's Eve, so I take into consideration the staff were counting down and ready to go. That is a note to self, do not go here on a holiday, especially right before they close.
The food is always delicious but this might the service was stellar! Light night at restaurant but it was one of my best visits in 5 years and I've been coming for over 20 years.
We go there for their grilled oysters. Really exceptional, but not a dining experience. . Hostess was barely pleasant, server was nice, but not attentive. Bus boy worked very hard and actually had to cover for the server. And they weren’t even busy.
This place isn’t the fine dining experience it used to be but the food is still good. Hard to justify the prices with such a pub like feel. The bar area looks nice, I’ll try it.
The Guest of Honor enjoyed her birthday celebration and dinner. Took food home and finished celebrating the next day. Thank you for a great afternoon.
I was surprised at the portion of food you got there , it’s was over the top , great value for your buck, hot food and a great presentation , loved it, very clean also
Great food!!! Only negative was extremely noisy room.
One of my favorite places to dine in Los Angeles, it’s been remodeled and looks great. Good food, good service at reasonable prices.....
Awesome Awesome AweAwesomeA Awesome Awesome Awesome Awesome
Had not been here for a while. Still good. Still generous portions. Like the remodeling.
Great food. I just the lighting had more mood to it, it's very bright in there. Turn the recessed lighting down and leave it to the wall sconces to do the job. It would feel more like a low light New Orleans Jazz bar vibe.
Food was excellent. Our server could have been more friendly. Also she rushed everything and she said it’s because she was helping out at the bar too.
Food was great, service was excellent, wonderful time
Amazing food! Wonderful service! I truly loved this place and felt amazing afterwards!
The food, the drinks, and the ambiance are reminiscent of a New Orleans restaurant.
Love the restaurant renovation, and the food was excellent.
The people in the front were very friendly and the food was excellent as always. The music in the bar area is a great touch. Will visit again soon!
After hearing the rave reviews, I was excited about the overall experience. Upon my arrival, I was promptly sitted. I ordered the fried chicken with fries. The chicken was old, fries tasted like they came from a bag at the grocery store. I feel the food received should have cost me $9.99 instead of the $24 I paid.
The tables were too close together. I heard entire conversations from other guest and could not hear from the person I was with.
I’m a foodie and this place did not rate high on my return list.
very nice dinner in a great atmosphere we will be back
The jumbo shrimp was too salty, the gumbo was too watery and the girl asked what did I want for a dessert for my birthday (as if it were complimentary) and we got charged for it.
