Harold & Belle"s is Los Angeles's premiere Creole dining experience. Family owned and operated for over 45 years, the restaurant has received numerous awards for its southern style cooking. Specialties include File Gumbo, Crawfish Etouffee, Jambalaya, and Fried Seafood. Come hungry because Harold & Belle's is known for serving up generous portions. A full bar is also available as well as mouthwatering desserts such as Louisiana Bread Pudding and Peach Cobbler. We also have Happy Hour daily from 4-7pm.

Food was amazing! PoBoys jumbo shrimp & red snapper were mouth watering but the best thing on the menu is hands down the bread pudding!!! Can't wait to return.

The food here was so delicious omg I loved it ! The service is a bit slow . So if you’re in a hurry you will be agitated but well worth the wait .

Very authentic Creole dishes. Services is friendly and professional, and helpful in recommending specific dishes. The char-broiled oysters are the reason we keep returning. They are amazing!!!!

Haven't been in a while but the food was so good! I wish the gumbo has a no pork option and larger crab. At least snow crab

Harold & Belle's is always a good choice for a casual or formal dinner. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The food is good, and the prices are very competitive.

They've maintained a tradition of offering delicious Creole cuisine, but some items are not as great as one would hope.

For instance, they serve flattened shrimp that isn't fresh as it should be as they serve tartar sauce with the deep, hard fried crab cake. These were not up to par.

On the upside, the catfish never disappoints.

While I enjoyed the food the service was awful. Greeted immediately by friendly hostess then downhill from there. The waitress was not attentive and we had to place our order with the host.

Exceptional!!!! Best Fried Seafood in LA!! Great Oyster Options Fried & Charbroiled--Never liked Oysters prepared any way at all until tried them here from a friend's plate TWICE. Now I order them on my own. And Great Creole style gumbo! (get the samll bowl first...delicious but Alot!

I Drive here from an hour (minimally) away at least once a month it's so good...twice in January!!!

We originally secured a 9:30p reservation on Open Table, and the manager called and asked us to move it to 8p so they could close early. No problem. Upon arrival - and we were six minutes late, the hostess asked us to wait at the front for a few minutes while she got approval to seat us. The place was fairly empty, but we waited an additional seven minutes for someone to greet and offer us beverages.

The waitress was nice. The food was good, but did not have the same love it normally does. My shrimp etouffe was tasty, but lukewarm. We did not say anything because we could tell they were trying to get out of there. The staff were hustling back and forth cleaning up. There were a few tables around us closing their tabs as we were waiting for our food, and after they left the staff became anxious. Every time we looked up, a man was standing in the kitchen threshold or walking past our section checking his watch. It made us feel rushed and a little uncomfortable, so we quickly finished our food; but we were hoping to have a few drinks and dessert, so we went somewhere else to finish our meal.

When I originally made the reservation, I added a note that we recently got married and this was our first holiday as a couple. Was not expecting anything major, but did think the manager that called and mentioned our nuptials would have stopped by or told our server to extend a congratulations. That personal touch and care is what brings people back. This was not my first time at Harold & Belle's, so I know the quality and full experience we would have received.

We had the last seating for the night on New Year's Eve, so I take into consideration the staff were counting down and ready to go. That is a note to self, do not go here on a holiday, especially right before they close.

We go there for their grilled oysters. Really exceptional, but not a dining experience. . Hostess was barely pleasant, server was nice, but not attentive. Bus boy worked very hard and actually had to cover for the server. And they weren’t even busy.

Great food. I just the lighting had more mood to it, it's very bright in there. Turn the recessed lighting down and leave it to the wall sconces to do the job. It would feel more like a low light New Orleans Jazz bar vibe.

Food was excellent. Our server could have been more friendly. Also she rushed everything and she said it’s because she was helping out at the bar too.
