The room is Frasier-and-Niles chic, but the lack of pretension is pure Martin Crane."
Hardware Grill Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely perfect meal for my boyfriend's birthday. Our server Shane was awesome - very personable and funny and definitely made our night more enjoyable.
My boyfriend had the butcher's cut and it was the best steak he's ever had. I went with the Black Angus burger and it was the best burger I've ever had. Props to the kitchen staff, it truly was an excellent meal. The dessert was fantastic as well (and thank you Shane for the birthday candle!)
Overall, highly recommend for any special occasion. It's a real treat dining here.
Way too expensive. They asked to put a hold of a $125 per person on the credit card. And then it turned out that they charge you all that amount by forcing you with a 3 courses menu soecial for Valentine's Day. And if you ask for anything else, you pay extra. A dinner bill for 2 people comes up to $300. This is insane.
We booked at the Hardware Grill on the advice of our AirBnB host. The food was amazing! Servings were good and the beef tenderloin was the best I've had. The restaurant opens at 5pm and we were headed to Rogers Place for 7pm so we couldn't stay for dessert. We will definitely be back when we're not in a hurry. Overall a great experience.
I'm not the type of person to write a review just for the sake of writing it. Compliments are not granted ,they're earned. This is absolutely one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Whether it's the staff ,ambiance ,meal or location this place is top notch. Every last detail was perfect, that included large tasty portions and a quiet atmosphere. One of the top choices in Yegmonton!
The lobster risotto was a big disappointment. The lobster was tough and flavourless. I also ordered a latte which came in a teacup sized cup and was not hot. My friend had the elk dish which she said was OK. For the price, I would have expected much higher quality.
We had wonderful attentive service. There was a steak that was not on the menu that was mentioned once we got served that was delicious ! I usually go for the bass but I tried the salmon this time. It was really good! Love the bass a little more tho if fish is your thing. My other son had the duck and loved it. Excellent service.
Our dining experience was perfect. Customer service and professionalism are felt throughout from the moment you walk in the door. We had the sea bass and the tenderloin and both we're fantastic! The biggest hit for us was our server, Brett. He's an expert in every sense of the way. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu options, he was friendly and genuine.. but professional. Hardware Grill is on more expensive, but I would highly recommend it.
Every course was outstanding, from the appetizers to the main course to dessert. The portions are more than generous and the variety for main courses made it hard to pick. Recommendations are the sea bass and elk- you won’t be disappointed.
Party of four ordered 4 different mains, two different appetizers, 3 different desserts, and every one of them was rave worthy. Nice balance of attentiveness & non-intrusiveness with the service and an atmosphere that was very relaxing.
I enjoyed the dinner. I had the elk which was good it could have been great had there been less horse radish. I felt like there was just slightly to many flavors going on but overall it was still good and I would go back.
I was disappointed with the care and preparation of the food. I ordered the pork chop entree and was surprised when I cut into it that it was still raw. The waiter returned this dish to the kitchen. A short time later, the same dish was presented to me gain, upon ctting into it, I discovered it was still pimk and not cooked. I explained to the waiter my wish is to have my pork fully cooked. I. Was discouraged and ordered a salad. My observation: kitchen is fast paced. Recommendation: takr more time when cooking pork. I don't prefer my pork rare or medium rare. Waiter was gracious and offered me a desert.
Splendid as always. Delicious appies (scallops and ricotta), and mains were generous portions. Two small knocks... The Shyraz we preferred was out of stock, and mains took a longgg time to arrive. But great service and delicious fixings as always ...!
The Hardware Grill was highly recommended. Two of us ate there for a business dinner and it was much better than I had expected. Our waiter pushed this smoked tomato bisque to start. I would have ordered five more of those if I could have gotten away with it and still looked professional. The entrees were equally good.
We had a very enjoyable evening that fit well with it being a dinner with the management team. The service was attentive, professional, and polite. The food was very good and well presented. Waiter was very good at making sure he was involved and around but not intrusive or disruptive.
The food and service was great! The attention was phenomenal! The only thing I didn’t like was when I booked I requested a birthday dessert and called to confirm before and they said all was good! But when I arrived they didn’t have it and I had to sneak and ask a server to do that for me. They did it and was good anyway! Too bad it wasn’t surprising as I requested. But overall great place
