Needed a burger for a quick after work meal. Service was outstanding, as it was on my first visit. Wait staff and host were friendly and engaging (but not too much so!). Burger was delicious and perfectly prepared to my request ( medium rare).

Excellent service combined with a interesting menu

My fiance and I went to Hardware Grill for our anniversary and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the server was even better. He made it a truly comfortable and memorable experience. We took our time and never felt ushered out or pressured to leave at any point. This was on a Friday night too

Excellent food ...services was so so . Not very attentive ..may be too busy ??!! Some tables candle light were on .. some were not. Ours were not .. water glassss was full most of the time which is good .. but was refilled in a very sloppy manner.. the service level doesn’t match the quality of food and the price

One of our meals was very undercooked (rare when it was ordered medium) we mentioned it to our server, Kyle, who offered to have the kitchen put it back on the grill - we declined, as this error ruins the entire tables dinner - one person waits for their food to be recooked while watching everyone else eat. It was mentioned so the kitchen was aware. The service was marginal at best but after this, we were given nothing but attitude for the rest of the evening, especially when paying the bill. We have never received such a poor response from a server. We go to Hardware Grill regularly but will reconsider before returning again.

Great atmosphere! Service was exceptional! Food was fantastic; great presentation, delicious and good size portions! Background music was just that, background music so that I could easily converse with my wife! Well done Hardware Grill! Fantastic evening! We will be back!

We went for a birthday date night. The food was amazing, the service was top notch and the whole experience was wonderful. They had a tonne of vegetarian options and all of them were delicious! We will be back!

Everything was amazing. The only reason I rated this a 4 for the food survey is because a couple of us were not huge kernel corn fans. There was corn in the appetizer we had and corn in my main meal. However, there was lots of flavor so no complaints there.
One of our friends did not care for the side dish of mac and cheese he ordered along with his meal. The Gingerbread cake dessert we ordered was a bit on the dry side. But, we ate it all and nothing was wasted so left content with full bellies. So if I could give the food 4 1/2 points I would.

This is a classic fine dining restaurant in Edmonton. The service is superb and the food is always delicious.

This was our first visit to Hardware and we decided to check it out during Downtown Dining Week. Our server was attentive until he served our first course. After that, we hardly saw him. Our food was delivered by others and not in a timely fashion. We waited for 1/2 hour for our bill after we had finished. Everything else was excellent - especially the food.

We attended Hardware Grill to experience the Downtown Dining week and were very satisfied.

The food was absolutely amazing! Looking forward to returning and trying some of the chefs other creations :)

This was our first visit to the Hardware Grill. We plan to return. The food was delicious. The mashed potatoes with the short ribs are worth walking from the south side to eat!! That’s how much I enjoyed them! I was pleasantly surprised that the menu prices were very reasonable. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We visited the hardware grill as part of Edmonton’s down town dining week and we were not disappointed.
From the moment you walk through the door the staff could not be more attentive. Our server was friendly, professional, made you feel at home .
Now the food ! Amazing, if I could fault anything it was the portions were huge. I had the chicken schnitzel and my husband the short ribs. Both delicious, save room for the gingerbread cake! Will definitely return.

A wonderful 30th anniversary dinner at Hardware Grill! Curtis was an excellent server and the food was creative and sooo good!

Excellent service! Great presentation and exquisite taste. The bread basket was terrific. Waiter was very apologetic for the parking issue due to Crashed Ice event. All was wonderful and we will return.

Dining at the Hardware Grill always ferls special. This time we were there to paryake in Downtown Dining Week. The menu selections were delightful & everything was as delicious & well-done as their regular menu.

Shane was a treat of a waiter & we will be asking to have him again. Hands down the besr waiter I've had at Hardware Grill. Overall, we were treated with the same care as if it weren't DTDW.

We had a mistake in our booking, but the restaurant fit us in.
We had a lovely table and the service was excellent.
Caesar salads were excellent. My salmon was lovely. My wife's Schnitzel was bland.
The desserts were fantastic.
Avoid the Schnitzel and you will have a great meal.

My husband and I enjoyed the food. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was made well, and tasted great! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Definitely part of the city's gems. Portions sizes were good, service was great, and all-round good time spent at Hardware Grill.

Food was great but the appies are overpriced for the amount you get. Main meals were excellent !!!

The online booking process is a failure at best! Restarant was about 50% full, the food was great, wine selection was medocure, service was poor, price was high.

This is a lovely restaurant to go to as far as ambiance is concerned.
The food is overpriced and very heavy. The menu is tired and not creative.
Our service was not good. We pored our own wine and dishes were collected before everyone finished eating.
For this price there are better choices in Edmonton.

Delicious food in lovely ambiance and at a good price. A very enjoyable experience.

Definitely would dine at Hardware Grill again should we find ourselves in Edmonton. The duck and elk entrees were a feast on a plate, extremely well composed, generous portions with interesting and well balanced flavors.

Ambience was comfortable and relaxed, service was professional, and overall was a very pleasant experience.
