Great service. Though pricing was on the high end, the quality and and quantity they serve makes it extremely worth it.
Our meal was amazing! The service was really great, attentive but not over bearing. I will definitely be back.
AMAZING!! First time there. Food tasted heavenly! Staff did a superb job! Looking forward to returning already!
Incredible food and service, we will definitely be back.
The service was good. I enjoyed the ambience. We went for downtown dining week. The price point was definitely worth it for how much food you get.
The good was absolutely delicious. The lamb shank was tender and was falling off the bone. My boyfriend loved the duck leg, and the cedar plank salmon was perfectly cook. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We would definitely come and eat here again
Amazing food and service
Had a chance to get out during Dining Week, everything was excellent; Will be back forsure.
Highly recommend trying if you haven't yet.
Really great downtown dining week menu! Highly recommend the duck confit, salmon, and the profiteroles
We enjoy the night, we like coming here every downtown dining week.
Our evening was great from start to finish. I believe our server said his name was Shane. In any case, he was polite and very familiar with the menu. It was Downtown Dinning week and we took advantage of their set menu that evening. Food was top notch thru all 3 courses right down to the cup of coffee at the end. I would highly recommend this restaurant! 10/10 in my books. We normally do not give a 25% tip but the gentleman we had wait on us deserved every penny of it. Timing was amazing! He knew just when to retrieve the dirty dishes and when to bring the next course, when to comment or crack a joke. Kudos! Having been out 2 other times that same week for this event in Edmonton, this was by far the best restaurant we tried. Upon our return, we shall ask to be seated in his section if at all possible.
Everything was lovely and great. My date’s carrot cake did have an eggshell in it. They apologized and that was it.
Understandable, we did get a great deal with downtown dining week, but we also added an alcoholic drink.
Very good food + really enjoyed + will go back.
We enjoyed the Downtown Dining week special menu. Loved the choices provided. The portions were much bigger than we expected. Our waiter was great! Overall a fabulous experience.
As always outstanding!
Best Downtoown Dining Week meal I’ve had so far!
We went out for my fiancées birthday. Once seated, it took between 10-15 minutes for any server to acknowledge us. To be fair, my fiancée had gone to move the car and I was alone at the table for a significant portion at that time. However, I was still disappointed not to be even acknowledged or offered a drink.
When he was at our table, our server was always pleasant and never rude. However, service overall was very slow and scattered. Even though I ordered a drink at the very first opportunity, I did not receive it until we had been seated for around half an hour. Additionally, we waited for the bill for around ten minutes before it was brought to our table. We ate very quickly, but service was so slow that we were still at the restaurant for about 2.5 hours by the time our bill arrived.
The quality of the food itself was also disappointing. My fiancée’s 3 course “downtown dining” selection (Crispy duck confit waffle, lamb shank, and cheesecake) was fine, but the flavours were nothing special. He did note that the lamb was cooked very well, which is he appreciated. The cheesecake served for dessert was also quite good.
My “vegetarian sampler” plate was very bland and unremarkable. There was nothing specifically “wrong” with it, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price tag.
Finally, given the slow service and the fact that neither of us are big eaters, we chose to pack a lot of our food to go home. I packed up about 70% of my platter. I was so disappointed when I got home to realize that everything (truffle Mac and cheese, arugula corn salad, some other veggies) had all been mixed together haphazardly in one box, making the entire meal significantly less appetizing and very difficult to reheat. I’ve attached a picture of what the box looked like when I opened it. While I realize that a restaurant can’t be expected to re-plate all food that is packed to-go, whoever packed it up could have at least separated the hot and cold items from each other.
The food was exceptional and the Lamb shank was to die for. It melts off the bone. The 3 course meal was so delicious and was nice to take my husband’s mother to come for one of the finest restaurant in Edmonton. I would have to say Stephen was a fantastic waiter and very accommodating.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was great and our server, Clint was exceptional.
Best meal with professional service I have had in Edmonton in a long time. Will be in my regular rotation moving forward.
Took advantage of Downtown Dining week and was very impressed with the offering! Excellent value and will definitely go again. Kudos to our great server Shane who made our night even more memorable!
Dined at the Hardware Grill for my sister in law's birthday dinner. It was during downtown dining and week, the menu was delicious! Very well planned and executed! Service was exceptional as usual!!!
Best meal I had in years. The staff was truly amazing
Great meal and selection.
Honestly I wish it was better. I was so hoping this would be a classic Edmonton fine dinning experience. Unfortunately it was a VERY slow, have to wait, order food at the next bar later, kinda evening. Brought another couple here, during downtown dining week so yes they are busy but they told us there was no bar to wait at (there is, it's just small) and we drank water at the beginning of the night for at least 30 minutes. Also the tempranillo for $10 was more like a very light Pinot noir.
Came for downtown dining week - food was good, our server was decent but the bus boy rolled his eyes at me all because I asked if we can have our desserts to go. Check with your server, he says. You know, I asked you so you can either tell our server because I don’t know when he’s coming back or you can go tell the kitchen, but you chose to do neither or and instead displayed attitude. Really not sure how that is warranted. I would’ve told someone right on the spot but seeing how my cousins do come back I did not want to cause a scene. What an unfortunate experience.
Excellent service and food. It was a memorable experience. Thanks.
The food was excellent and the service was the best. We didn’t have to wait for anything they were always there.
Everything was really good, service, food and ambience. One issue that had us almost walk out was the INSITANCE on watching the 90 minute table stay. It took almost 30 minutes to be served a berry press. If you invite people in for the Downtown Dining Week you probably shouldn't tell them (us) that we're not welcome
Super delicious meal. 1st and 2nd courses were over-the-top. Desserts were good also but not over-the-top.
The service was over the top spectacular, food was superb, wine selection perfect... what an evening!
Totally satisfied. Never disappointed when you dine here!
The food was fantastic!
What an amazing experience we had last night. From the designer cocktails and starting with the cauliflower, I had the sea bass and my partner had the elk and short rib. The ginger cake dessert was an absolute dream. Thanks to Clint for the personalized service.
Amazing service, food, atmosphere, and dining experience all together.
Sketchy part of town, had to pay $10.00 to park. Limited menu, very expensive. Cheerful , attentive waiter
Excellent service- presentation - great food
Incredible food, great service. The server was willing to explain the dishes and how the ingredients combined to produce the flavours.
The sea bass- a must have !
From out of province and only visit Edmonton once each year, but Hardware Grill is always a must for dinner. Spectacular flavour and great service.
I always enjoy Hardware Grill. You can count on a great meal every time you dine there. Hardware Grill has been my favorite restaurant in YEG for years.
