My husband my 10-year-old daughter and I really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere, my chicken and shrimp fajitas were delicious, and my husband and daughter both got a cheeseburger and both of them said that their food was delicious also!
Traveled 5 hours to eat here and was highly disappointed by the service and quality of the food and drinks. We got in a little late and felt rushed to finish up and leave. We even heard comments from the staff talking amongst themselves, wanting us to leave. We have been to multiple Hard Rock Cafes and this was the far worst. Would not recommend.
Got there when it opened and the food tasted like it was left over from the night before.
We made online reservations through Open Table for 10:30 am. We arrived at 10:30 to discover the restaurant doesn’t open until 11:00 a.m. This is either Open Table’s error or the restaurant’s error. We were seated at 10:55 since the gift shop was open. The hostess said the manager was coming to apologize for the inconvenience. We never saw a manager. The food and service were good.
I've been to numerous Hard Rocks but this one is just not up to par....wife and I had an appetizer spinach dips /chips ....they took FOREVER to come out and there wasn't 25 people in the place on a Sat night approx 1100 that should've been my 1st clue ....the dip was very spartan not nearly enough for the portion of chips and very over priced .....we both had 1/2 lb burgers and fries ...once again everything was spartan .....even though they were tasty ...how much are u actually saving by skimping on lettuce, tomatoes and a tiny bun ???.... way overpriced at 15 bucks ...dip and chips plus 2 burgers and fries and 1 tea and water w/ spartan portions for $51?? There are just much better options in the immediate area.....I wont be going back anytime soon....and I'm not the picky type ....but this was just a huge disappointment
The waitress stated that they were short handed. My party and I saw maybe 2 waitresses. Management helped to serve food. Some of the busboys/girls would bring requested condiments, etc. Problem was the waitress had a hard time simply apologizing. Maybe they are instructed not to. She was not rude, but she was not nice.
Trip to see Hilton at Orpheum.
Great place to go before an outing at the Orpheum, great location!
Food was consistent and good, as was service which is expected as we eat here regularly. The parking was a nightmare and a rip-off. $20 to park for dinner and the parking lot attendant was very rude. Hard Rock has always had 'valet parking' but this guy would not even park our car, told us to park it yourself. Valet parking at the Hard Rock has always been $10. So, now it is $20 and no valet. I asked him about this after I parked our own car and he said that the valet box was locked and they lost the key, so they could not keep the car keys........ worst parking experience I have ever experienced in Memphis. It seems the only reason this guy was here was to collect $20 from each diner.
We had a great time. Food and service was awesome.
First time visiting. Food was good. Portions are small for the price.
We got seated early, the service was good, the food was good and the noise level was bearable.
I made a reservation for a birthday dinner before our tickets to the Orpheum. We were seated on time but the waitress forgot to put our order in so after 45 minutes a manager came over and told us that our food would be free and they would get it to us ASAP. We were very understanding because the waitress was covering lots of tables. When we got our food we asked for ketchup and drink refills. After another 10 minutes I went to the bar and got the ketchup myself. We also ordered a brownie ice cream dessert - for the birthday which we never got!! We saw her come out of the kitchen with it and carry it around the restaurant but then she disappeared. By that time we were almost late for the show so we just left. It was a very disappointing experience!
Could have been because of large party upstairs, but our service was quite slow. Food okay. There are better places downtown to eat next time.
Amazing food and love all the items they have showcased.
Took our family there with high expectations due to Memphis being such a staple in music history. Extremely disappointed with the lack of memorabilia hanging and lack of rock store. It’s a good thing I had made reservations because they were apparently only serving half of the tables available to sit at as half the tables were empty and other customers were told that it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour wait. Service was terrible, we received our food before we got some of our beverages (waters, soda, and a lemonade). We did receive prompt service from the bus boy though even though we weren’t done with our food or plates. Manager never came by to check on us, was told that a twisted Mac and cheese would be a larger serving portion so when it came out in a small side bowl you can imagine our level of excitement. Overall, if you are looking for any kind of dining experience in Memphis stay away from here as you will be highly disappointed.
It took an hour an half after seating to get a hamburger and a salad. People next to us got up and left
The restaurant was not very crowded on a concert night and it took for ever to our food. When the food finally came out they messed up my order and burnt my kids chicken tenders. Ordered a desert for my kid and paid the bill. 45 minutes later they brought him his milkshake.
Service was very slow. Rarely saw wait staff for drink refills
Food was not cook correctly at all burgers were rare when supposed to be medium well. Kids chicken tenders had a weird taste as well.
We were on the first evening of our vacation. Great experience!
Had an overpriced drink an an appetizer. Wasn’t impressed with menu.Found a much better place on Bealestreet to have our dinner.
I usually love eating at Hard Rock. I can count on consistently getting good food. Sunday was different. Steak wasn’t cooked as I ordered it. Potatoes tasted old. Like they had been reheated one time too many. The broccoli wasn’t cooked, it was pretty much just fresh and uncooked. Our waitress was also the bartender. She was great. I loved her smile and attitude. But she was clearly too busy and trying to do two jobs at the same time.
I booked a reservation through open table. We were seated promptly, but it was in a side room, with us being the only table. We waited for about twenty minutes before a member of my party went in search of another waitress. Our waitress then showed up, with lame excuses. She got our drink and food order and brought out half of the drinks. She didn’t return for fifteen minutes. We had to flag her down to get the other drinks. It took over an hour and a half before we were served our food, and then two out of four orders were incorrect. I won’t return to this restaurant.
The hard Rock Cafe cafe ise to be so good. We had reservations at 6:30 and got seated exactly at 6:30 which was wonderful. We got a table upstairs, as soon as we were seated our server took our drink order we got our drinks in like 10-13 mins okay not a problem. As soon as she brought our drinks we ordered our food (wings & hamburger) my husband told our server instead of blue cheese he wanted all ranch. She brought his wings out at 7:00pm with blue cheese dressing. Now remember we’re sitting upstairs so she had to catch the elevator or take the stairs all the way downstairs just to get ranch dressing so getting that back to him took another 10-15 mins by this time hos wings are cold. We told her when she took the order no blue cheese. Okay but now its 7:15-7:30 and still no burger or fries nothing that I ordered. No sight of our server either. So we wait another 20 mins and boom our server magically appears. So its 15 till 8. I asked her where was my burger and fries that was put in the same time that my husband food was pit in she just apologized and went back downstairs to find it. 15 more mins passed by and i told the lady that was seating people upstairs to cancel my burger, we were going to a show on Beale Street and this situation made us late. We had to go, i needed my check to pay and go so we go the check in like 5-7 minutes and left but this place is unorganized, people that was seated way after us go their food ate and left and we were still sitting. Unprofessional is what they are nobody had any answers of why i didn’t get my food. Then she asked did i want the manager I didn’t have time to talk to anybody else
I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you have plenty of time to spare. We were seated right away but were not waited on for over twenty minutes. It was over an hour until our food arrived. The food was not great, and the overall service was not good.
Great experience! Delicious food! Friendly staff! We will definitely be back
As a former service industry employee i was not very impressed at all with my experience.
First off i witnessed the hostess handing out silverware that was not wrapped in napkins and the bar tender had finger nails that were at least 3 inches long.
Will never visit this location again.
Fabulous food and atmosphere
We had a reservation but the staff seemed to know nothing about it so we had to wait for seating when we arrived. It did take a while to get our food but everything was cooked to perfection and our waitress was very friendly and prompt. It was pretty loud and difficult to hear others at our table speaking.
We made it here 30 minutes before our reservation time. They seated us upstairs no one came to serve us for about 30 or so minutes. When the young lady came she asked what did we want to drink. She came back 15 minutes later with some of the drinks told us she was going to get a pencil to take our order because she didn’t know where our waitress was. Hey when she finally came back after over an hour wait just say the food was all messed up. Burgers tasted like they had sat in water all day then thrown on a grill to give it a burnt taste and on out to the table. Worst meal. Worst service. I truly hated this experience. The sad thing is My whole family was anxious to eat here for our little short vacation. I tried to get them to change their minds because of the reviews I had read earlier in the day but they would not budge. I hated it for them more than myself!!
There was a problem with my order and they promptly took care of it. The service was WONDERFUL!!!!
Had the new Cobb Salad at the Hard Rock in NYC in March and couldn’t wait to try it in my own hometown! Memphis’s salad was not cold or crisp. Leaves were limp and room temperature. The meat (chicken) tasted packaged and the pomegranate seeds tasted extremely fermented or like they had been soaked in alcohol. Had to ask for the avocado that came on it. Served to me separately and after the salad on a separate plate. Brown.
Not pleased at all with quality. Son’s hamburger was run-of-the-mill nothing-special at all. Sad for Memphis’s Hard Rock. :-(
No greeting by server. We told 3 different what we wanted to drink and waited 33 minutes to get them. 1/4 of my drink was missing! $10 drink! Asked for chicken nachos. No chicken, sour cream, or salsa. Awful.
Had reservation for 7. Paid to park, got there 10 min before reservation. He had us on his iPad for having a reservation but told us there was no room, they had a lot of walk ins. We had to leave without eating.
Worst service I have ever had!!! Waitress took our drink order immediately but then disappeared. After 15 minutes we gave our order to the hostess. Drinks came and were horrible- no alcohol in it!! Went to bartender because still couldn’t find our waitress- he wouldn’t even speak to us -just took it and made another- still bad. After an hour and 5 minutes still no appetizer or drink refills and waitress still MIA. We started complaining to hostess as two table behind us got up and left because no one ever came to serve them at all. Finally got our food and actually tasted decent but had to scarf it down be cause it took so long. We received one excuse after another and later found out our waitress just quit serving us altogether and with no one assigned to our table it was a complete mess. Manager was supposed to discount our check for all the problems but received our check- after 15 minutes of waiting for it too- and no discount. Only saving grace was another waitress who jumped in at the end to get our ticket and then went to manager to finally get a discount. She was awesome and helped us so much when we weren’t even her table. I will NEVER go back. The manager and most of staff are either incompetent or just don’t care.
Our experience at Hard Rock was absolutely horrible! We waited 45 minutes to even get a drink. Our waitress was terrible and never came to the table. We had to keep flagging other people down in order to get service. It took forever to get our checks. We almost walked out since they would not bring us our check. We were not the only table that had bad service. It was the entire upstairs. They only gave us $10 off our entire check, which had 5 people on it. We will never step foot in Hard Rock again!!!
Most of the food was great. Service was very slow but at least she was friendly. DONT GET COFFEE THOUGH. It was the only thing that was bad.
Service was slow at best and mostly missing in action. It appeared there was one person covering the bar and all the tables. Never received some things requested. It was an extremely long wait for the food. The steak was so dry it could not be cut. The wait for refills was painful. Stopping at the Rock Shop was not an improvement in service. It was a very sad experience.
Despite being able to make a reservation, they closed over an hour early on a Saturday night. ☹
