Had an overpriced drink an an appetizer. Wasn’t impressed with menu.Found a much better place on Bealestreet to have our dinner.
I usually love eating at Hard Rock. I can count on consistently getting good food. Sunday was different. Steak wasn’t cooked as I ordered it. Potatoes tasted old. Like they had been reheated one time too many. The broccoli wasn’t cooked, it was pretty much just fresh and uncooked. Our waitress was also the bartender. She was great. I loved her smile and attitude. But she was clearly too busy and trying to do two jobs at the same time.
I booked a reservation through open table. We were seated promptly, but it was in a side room, with us being the only table. We waited for about twenty minutes before a member of my party went in search of another waitress. Our waitress then showed up, with lame excuses. She got our drink and food order and brought out half of the drinks. She didn’t return for fifteen minutes. We had to flag her down to get the other drinks. It took over an hour and a half before we were served our food, and then two out of four orders were incorrect. I won’t return to this restaurant.
The hard Rock Cafe cafe ise to be so good. We had reservations at 6:30 and got seated exactly at 6:30 which was wonderful. We got a table upstairs, as soon as we were seated our server took our drink order we got our drinks in like 10-13 mins okay not a problem. As soon as she brought our drinks we ordered our food (wings & hamburger) my husband told our server instead of blue cheese he wanted all ranch. She brought his wings out at 7:00pm with blue cheese dressing. Now remember we’re sitting upstairs so she had to catch the elevator or take the stairs all the way downstairs just to get ranch dressing so getting that back to him took another 10-15 mins by this time hos wings are cold. We told her when she took the order no blue cheese. Okay but now its 7:15-7:30 and still no burger or fries nothing that I ordered. No sight of our server either. So we wait another 20 mins and boom our server magically appears. So its 15 till 8. I asked her where was my burger and fries that was put in the same time that my husband food was pit in she just apologized and went back downstairs to find it. 15 more mins passed by and i told the lady that was seating people upstairs to cancel my burger, we were going to a show on Beale Street and this situation made us late. We had to go, i needed my check to pay and go so we go the check in like 5-7 minutes and left but this place is unorganized, people that was seated way after us go their food ate and left and we were still sitting. Unprofessional is what they are nobody had any answers of why i didn’t get my food. Then she asked did i want the manager I didn’t have time to talk to anybody else
I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you have plenty of time to spare. We were seated right away but were not waited on for over twenty minutes. It was over an hour until our food arrived. The food was not great, and the overall service was not good.
Great experience! Delicious food! Friendly staff! We will definitely be back
As a former service industry employee i was not very impressed at all with my experience.
First off i witnessed the hostess handing out silverware that was not wrapped in napkins and the bar tender had finger nails that were at least 3 inches long.
Will never visit this location again.
Fabulous food and atmosphere
We had a reservation but the staff seemed to know nothing about it so we had to wait for seating when we arrived. It did take a while to get our food but everything was cooked to perfection and our waitress was very friendly and prompt. It was pretty loud and difficult to hear others at our table speaking.
We made it here 30 minutes before our reservation time. They seated us upstairs no one came to serve us for about 30 or so minutes. When the young lady came she asked what did we want to drink. She came back 15 minutes later with some of the drinks told us she was going to get a pencil to take our order because she didn’t know where our waitress was. Hey when she finally came back after over an hour wait just say the food was all messed up. Burgers tasted like they had sat in water all day then thrown on a grill to give it a burnt taste and on out to the table. Worst meal. Worst service. I truly hated this experience. The sad thing is My whole family was anxious to eat here for our little short vacation. I tried to get them to change their minds because of the reviews I had read earlier in the day but they would not budge. I hated it for them more than myself!!
There was a problem with my order and they promptly took care of it. The service was WONDERFUL!!!!
Had the new Cobb Salad at the Hard Rock in NYC in March and couldn’t wait to try it in my own hometown! Memphis’s salad was not cold or crisp. Leaves were limp and room temperature. The meat (chicken) tasted packaged and the pomegranate seeds tasted extremely fermented or like they had been soaked in alcohol. Had to ask for the avocado that came on it. Served to me separately and after the salad on a separate plate. Brown.
Not pleased at all with quality. Son’s hamburger was run-of-the-mill nothing-special at all. Sad for Memphis’s Hard Rock. :-(
No greeting by server. We told 3 different what we wanted to drink and waited 33 minutes to get them. 1/4 of my drink was missing! $10 drink! Asked for chicken nachos. No chicken, sour cream, or salsa. Awful.
Had reservation for 7. Paid to park, got there 10 min before reservation. He had us on his iPad for having a reservation but told us there was no room, they had a lot of walk ins. We had to leave without eating.
Worst service I have ever had!!! Waitress took our drink order immediately but then disappeared. After 15 minutes we gave our order to the hostess. Drinks came and were horrible- no alcohol in it!! Went to bartender because still couldn’t find our waitress- he wouldn’t even speak to us -just took it and made another- still bad. After an hour and 5 minutes still no appetizer or drink refills and waitress still MIA. We started complaining to hostess as two table behind us got up and left because no one ever came to serve them at all. Finally got our food and actually tasted decent but had to scarf it down be cause it took so long. We received one excuse after another and later found out our waitress just quit serving us altogether and with no one assigned to our table it was a complete mess. Manager was supposed to discount our check for all the problems but received our check- after 15 minutes of waiting for it too- and no discount. Only saving grace was another waitress who jumped in at the end to get our ticket and then went to manager to finally get a discount. She was awesome and helped us so much when we weren’t even her table. I will NEVER go back. The manager and most of staff are either incompetent or just don’t care.
Our experience at Hard Rock was absolutely horrible! We waited 45 minutes to even get a drink. Our waitress was terrible and never came to the table. We had to keep flagging other people down in order to get service. It took forever to get our checks. We almost walked out since they would not bring us our check. We were not the only table that had bad service. It was the entire upstairs. They only gave us $10 off our entire check, which had 5 people on it. We will never step foot in Hard Rock again!!!
Most of the food was great. Service was very slow but at least she was friendly. DONT GET COFFEE THOUGH. It was the only thing that was bad.
Service was slow at best and mostly missing in action. It appeared there was one person covering the bar and all the tables. Never received some things requested. It was an extremely long wait for the food. The steak was so dry it could not be cut. The wait for refills was painful. Stopping at the Rock Shop was not an improvement in service. It was a very sad experience.
Despite being able to make a reservation, they closed over an hour early on a Saturday night. ☹
Both my food and my wife’s food were bland and several things came out incorrect. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came out beyond well done. The second steak came out rare and cold. Outside of my onion rings, the food has no taste. The manager did remove the steak from our bill. We probably will not return.
We were seated by the stairs and cold air was constantly coming down from an open door. My husband closed it 3 times and asked for the manager who never came. Service was slow, although our waitress was very nice. My veggie burger was very dry, no mayo, ketchup or pickles, just lettuce and tomato. My husband's fajitas were bland. We came for the live music program and do not intend to go again.
Wait staff just always seems to be straining to cover the place. Long wait from sitting down to getting a drink. Food arrived promptly, but they don’t have time to check if you need another drink, or anything else. Just not very attentive, and Lord help you if you’re in a rush when you ask for the check. It’s going to be a little while...
They stated upon arrival that they "didn't think we were going to show up" even after I texted a response to confirm the reservation. Service was SLOW. Had to ask multiple times for our drinks. Waited over 15 minutes to get a drink. Understaffed and Staff seemed more annoyed by us than anything. Food and atmosphere good.
Waiter was great, however I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. First impression was terrible. Large amount of people waiting at entrance when we arrived and no one at the hostess station. Finally, how to go find the host to get information. Host rude and lacking customer service skills. Waiter was great. Ribs arrived cold from the kitchen
Took my Mother N Law there before the MercyMe concert at FedEx Forum. Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant! Our Waitress was fantastic! Food was amazing! 5/5 stars no doubt.

This Hard Rock Cafe is located on Beale Street in Memphis. We were going to see Jackson Browne at the Orpheum, which is close by.
I ordered salmon with Yukon mashed potatoes and steamed Broccoli. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with fries.
The Broccoli was not cooked well. It was raw and cool to the touch. I had to send it back.
The Cheeseburger was ok. You can’t screw up a cheeseburger....😁
Not my favorite Hard Rock dining experience. Usually a big fan and have always had consistent service and great food. This time did not live up to my expectations.
I booked my reservation online 4 days prior to my schedule date of arrival. When we arrived the male hostess claimed that there was no seats available, assuming me that they did not have have reservation table set. That was at 5:45pm. Another guy came to us and said we will seat you somewhere upstairs come back at 6pm. My entire party was there at 6pm ready to be seated. It wasn’t until 635pm that they finally sat us upstairs. (Keep in mind there where PLENTY of avaible tables upstairs). Waiter was okay. I ordered my food, when it finally came out the steak was not done. I sent it back and you can tell that all the cooks did was put my entire meal back in the pan and refried everything. With that being said, my shrimp and chicken came back burnt. This was my first and last time coming to hard rock at this location.
Not my favorite, just food and no music in Memphis????
Great atmosphere in downtown Memphis! Enjoyed the service, food and most of all the ambiance. Right in the middle of everything happening downtown!
Hostess was unpleasant. If you didn’t have a reservation she didn’t have time for you... when she was at the hostess stand. Our waiter was pleasant and had a great attitude but messed up our drink order. My son and I finished our entrees before my wife and daughter got theirs. They were sharing an entree which was really good but my chicken sandwich wasn’t “hot” but was cooked through and my son’s pasta was “just warm enough to eat”. All this and the dining room was only half full. Wondered why you even needed a reservation at all. Def not worth the price, go to Huey’s if you want a burger.
Even though we had a reservation, it took 30 minutes for someone to be at the front station to acknowledge us. Disgruntled customers were turning others away and one family of 4 had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours for a table even though there were empty tables visible. We finally walked to another establishment.
Awful service. Unhelpful staff. Food cold. Starters came after mains and were cold. Drinks didn’t appear at all.
We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time and finally left. Chaos and really bad attitudes.
Had reservations at 6:00. We were sat immediately. Waited 30 minutes to get a waiter. Another hour for food. Appetizer came with meal and was not what we ordered. They were “out” so they substituted. One meal was incorrect also. It was st Patrick’s day and they did not have the key to the liquor closet?? Waiter said he was about to walk out.
Also, an entire section in the place was closed down. Some one did not show up to work. Absolute train wreck.
The food and restaurant as a whole are great BUT when me and my boyfriend came in to eat around 8:50 on Saturday St.Pattys day we told the hostess we had a reservation for 9:00 on open table and they told us “sorry we on an hour wait” and I was like....”we have a reservation though?” And they were like “sorry” no sympathy or trying to help us. I was outraged. I used to be a hostess and waitress and have worked for 2 nice restaurants who used open table and that’s NOT how it works.
I walked right past the hostess and found an empty two top table near the window (15 feet from the hostess stand) that (was covered in food and dirty) but obviously available....I stood right next to the table until I found another employee and told him what was going on, that we had a reservation, and that I wanted a manager and wanted this table...he was really nice worked with us and got us that exact table!
I don’t know if the hostesses were just lazy and didn’t want to clean the table (or maybe didn’t realize the table was available) regardless that is their job to go find empty tables and make available to customers ESPECIALLY when they have reservations and can WRITE REVIEWS. Overall the hostess just seemed extremely lazy, unprofessional, and didn’t care to even help us.
That is NOT how customer service operates.
Other than that, the food was great, our server was great!
Had reservations, but still had to wait twenty minutes for a table. Music was way too loud. Prices were high for sub-par food and service.
The hostess and waitress were very friendly and kind! The GM even came to check on us. The food was all great! We will definitely be back! The spring rolls, nachos, and Parmesan Romano fries are AMAZING!!!!

Food was a let down compared to other Hard Rocks, one server for the entire bottom floor, music was soft, lack of atmosphere.
We had a group of students I took there to eat before the Grizzlies game on March 10th. Three out of eight people ordered their burger or steak well done and they definitely were not well done. The two that ordered steak ended up leaving without eating. When something was said to the waitress, her response was "Well, are they bleeding?" I felt that was very rude considering "well done" cooked meat should be nowhere close to bleeding. I was very excited to take the students here and thought it would be a great experience for them. I ended up wishing we would have chosen somewhere else.
