Harbour Sixty Ratings and Reviews
Was disappointed our group of 6 was seated at a corner table in the Bar Area.. considering the reservation was made several weeks ago, there should be no excuse to seat a table of 6 in the bar area. Other than that, the food and the service was top notch. Best Steak I have had in a long time. I guess next time i'll have to request at Table not in the bar.
I was extremely disappointed in the food. I waited for reservations for a while as this was the choice of venue. Baked Alaska was the worst thing I have ever tasted and the steak was OK nothing special to warrant $70 and presented very plain without so much as a small swirl of some type of sauce on the plate so presentation was actually a zero. Cauliflower was one of the worst items I have experienced and the mashed potatoes I would compare to instant. This was a present to my boss and his wife so I definitely had higher expectations for the cost. Caesar salad was OK a bit overloaded with garlic. Parking was awesome the drivers were very friendly and brought the car very quickly on a cold night. Staff - very many of them were very friendly and our waiter Riley was fantastic. My guests enjoyed the meal it is me who has the high expectations as I eat out a lot. I will not return nor will I recommend.
the restaurant is so crowded！10 people sit in such a small room，u can hear every word the people said sit next ur table.i
booked the reservation for anniversary but the dessert dish said“happy birthday ”！so embarrassing！no one keep my jacket when i enter the restaurant！bad experience！
I really liked the environment and the service but one thing that I did not appreciate was the fact that I mentioned that it was my first wedding anniversary and no one congratulated us neither did they surprise us with any deserts on the house. Small things makes a difference.
We were in Toronto for a weekend getaway, and my husband suggested Harbour Sixty, as he’d heard it was great, and the menu looked yummy. We’re foodies, and Harbour Sixty didn’t disappoint. The service was wonderful; attentive without being obsequious. A knowledgeable sommelier was on hand to help wade through the voluminous wine list (there’s a table of contents).
My husband had the mammoth prawn cocktail, followed by a steak, which was cooked to perfection. I chose the Korean short ribs - one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The glaze was delicious and they practically melted in my mouth. I had the Chilean sea bass as my main. It was also fantastic - flaky and buttery, just as it should be. I wasn’t as wowed by my coconut cream pie, which I found a little lacking in flavour, but my husband’s crème brûlée was pretty perfect.
The reasons I knocked a point off for overall experience and atmosphere were the temperature (I was cold - in a sweater and slacks - as we were sitting by the window), and my chair, which was lovely and oversized, but too tall and my feet were dangling. I’m not a short person, so this seemed odd. Definitely minor, picky issues,. To be fair, we didn’t bring either to the staff’s attention, as the restaurant was full.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would go back again just for those short ribs. Amazing!
It looked like extra tables were placed in areas to maximize number of customers regardless of the ambiance. We were seated at one of those tables next to the waiters' desk and had too much movement next to us to enjoy dinner. We also could hear every conversation between the waiters complaining about particular customers. While the quality of food was good, the plating and appearance was adequate at best. For the prices on the menu, we expected a lot more than what we received in our experience.
Our two porterhouses were a bit overdone and a solid medium (not medium rare as requested) and underdone on the outside (not slightly charred like the Chicago style they say they specialize in).
The rapini was quite mushy and lacked flavour (as through it had been boiled rather than blanched and sautéed), so I recommend avoiding that as a side. The service was great, but overall the food was not as good in comparison to our last visit a few months ago.
Have reserved a table at this restaurant in the past and the dining area is spectacular. What OpenTable neglects to mention is that there are various seating areas. One is pretty much a dance club with music blasting in your ears the entire dinner. The table behind us decided that this was the type of establishment for a bunch of 10 year old kids who were yelling and screaming the entire night.
I would absolutely recommend NOT using OpenTable to book this restaurant, and instead just calling to get a proper reservation in the dining room.
I cannot thank you all at Harbour Sixty. The night was started there with three other girlfriends, we were happy to initially be the only table of women. The drinks were delicious and the food was incredible. Our thanks to Nick our waiter and the entire staff from hostesses to bus boys to wine steward etc.
We will be back.
My husband and I had been wanting to try Harbour Sixty for awhile, so we figured our anniversary was as good a time as any as it seems like a "special occasion" type of place. It did not disappoint. We had a beautiful booth table and the Asst. Manager Amy came by to say hi. She could not have been nicer. We were poured complimentary champagne and were brought a complimentary appetizer of Tuna Tartare. We both order the filet and it was mouth-watering. Our server was fantastic and let us know ahead of time that their steaks are a bit bit thicker than other steakhouses so a regular medium rare would be more like a medium here at Harbour Sixty. We greatly appreciated this as we usually order medium rare but here ordered medium - which turned out perfect The sides were all delectable - we had the white truffle mac&cheese, buttermilk fried cauliflower (I could have eaten this all night), and the truffle fries. The service was wonderful and attentive the entire time. We it came time for dessert we both ordered one dessert but Amy and the server came out with a plate with three desserts on it and a candle and "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was the icing on the cake - literally. We had the Apple Beignets, Molten Chocolate Lava Cake, and the Coconut Cream Pie. Needless we to say, we took some home with us! All-in-all it was a great experience and they truly made us feel like they put an extra effort into making sure our celebratory dinner was exceptional. Missing accomplished! Once again, a special thank you to Amy who made sure we were well taken care of :)
