Harborside Grill at Hyatt Boston Harbor Ratings and Reviews
Overall bad experience. Not many places are open on Christmas Day for Dinner, after seeing it in Open Table thought I would give it a try. Big Mistake. The description is very misleading, it's not a restaurant it's like eating in a nook in the lobby. While two people face the stunning view of the city I got to sit facing the lobby. The seats are not proportional to the table so have to sit on the edge of the seat to eat. Online menu does not state there are time restrictions being Christmas at 1pm we thought we could choose the all day dining menu or dinner menu. Wrong only option was lunch menu. The food was horrible. It was cold and either over cooked or undercooked. You are basically getting what feels like reheated leftover food from one of there banquet rooms. I have honestly had better food at a 7-11. Having to pay $5 to park in THEIR parking lot after eating at THEIR horrible "restaurant" then the ticket reader didn't work so I had to park again, walk back to the hotel to get someone to come out to fix the gate, was just ridiculous.
Hard to beat a piping hot bowl of NE Clam Chowder overlooking Boston Harbor with the city skyline as your backdrop!! The crab cakes were OUTSTANDING and worth a special trip to this seemingly standard fare hotel restaurant spot. Not sure if it was the time of day (noon lunch) or specific day of week (Tuesday) but the restaurant was empty so we were able to have a very nice and quiet business lunch. Notwithstanding, our service was exceptional. The wait staff were polite, professional, discreet, and appropriately attentive. Will definitely have to go back and have more of the chowder and crab cakes next time in Boston.
We enjoyed our meal here, tried a bit of this and that and everything was pretty good. Loved the view, as we sat outside and enjoyed the skyline. Service was pretty good, but I think the kitchen is a ways away from the outside dining tables, as it seemed to take a while to get our orders. Still, who could complain with the beautiful view of downtown Boston? Probably reasonable prices for the Boston area.
Great restaurant! View was of Boston skyline. Very quiet even though it is located near Terminal A. Building cuts off all noise of airport and wind. Restaurant food very good especially the fish and chips. Also the calamari was cooked perfect. They were fried in a light, fluffy batter. Our group of 6 agreed they were probably one of the best we have ever tried.
Our waiter was informative and very friendly. Available but not hovering around us constantly.
Restaurant located at the Hyatt so plenty of self parking. Cost $5.00 to park for 4 hours (restaurant validates ticket for you) Can't beat that price in Boston.
We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and will definitely come back.
The views of the Boston skyline are amazing. My boyfriend and I were seated indoors but the skyline was highlighted by our windowside table. I got the Boston Restaurant week 3-course meal. The clam chowder was very good but my main entrée, braised pork with purple mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe was cold and not very good. However, I give the food 3 stars because my boyfriend enjoyed the wings and lobster mac and cheese he ordered.
The service here really made you feel like you were at a hotel. It was impersonal and somewhat alienating. We never felt welcome at all. I think their strategy is to turn tables over quickly because we constantly felt rushed. The view is spectacular though. I'm sure this is why people continue to fill the seats...and I can't blame them. Just don't expect much in terms of food/service.
Harborside Grill is a hidden gem, with a perfect view across to the Boston skyline. It's not a high-end food-fancy place, but all is good quality and we enjoyed great service and attention. I'd recommend to anyone wanting to dine with a beautiful view and easy convenient location to Logan airport.
The view is fantastic . the view of the harbor is the best ever. It can't be beat. The food is good but nothing big deal. The service was good and I would recommend the place.
Just wAtch out for the parking they valadate for three hours - if you forget the time it is full price. After dropping alot on dinner it seems lousy on the hotels part
So disappointing, food ticket was lost took forever to get lunch. Waiter brought complimentary chowder to make up for delay. Food was disappointing salmon was dry and overcooked as was the chicken on the salad. Expensive and bad food. Would not go back! The only positive was the view of the harbor.
This place offers a lot more than what we had anticipated. A total hidden gem close to the airport with an incredible view of Boston. Food is mediocre, but the ambience is good, the service was exceptional, but you're really in this for the view of the Boston skyline!
After the whole fiasco with the so called manager when it came to brunch. The mothers day brunch was everything and more. The staff were wonderful again except for the so called "manager" who needs a some training in being professional and knowing how to deal with people especially on special occasions like mothers day. I would recommend for brunch. loved it. glad I didn't let one person ruin my experience and my special day
The food at the Harborside grill was a very good view of the city while distant was pretty at night he opened here space feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant if you're looking for a warm romantic environment this may not be your best option if you're looking for a good meal with a view of city in the summer I recommend
The view from Hyatt Harborside Grille is fantastic, and may be the best skyline view in Boston. The food was good too - we had lunch, and the group enjoyed the Maine Burger (lobster + hamburger), clam chowder and mussels. Some people may wonder where you're going when you head toward the airport, but the view is worth the trip.
I had the butter poached monk fish on beet noodles. There was NO butter flavor in the fish. The beets were nice and crisp. The sauce was a basic tomato that lacked body and flavor.
For breakfast I ordered the English Hash. The "baked beans" were simply pinto beans, not baked, not sweet or particularly savory. I returned the dish and i talked to the server about the breakfast and they took it off my bill.
We frequent this hotel and dining room on a frequent basis. Generally we are there for lunch and dinner. The dinner menu selection has improved tremendously and is excellent. But the reason we find it outstanding is the staff. At dinner, Laura and Vinny are superb; at breakfast we have experienced our meal with most of the staff but find Dina, Elizabeth, Isa and Carlos are great.
As for the setting...we could sit there all day and all night just enjoying the view. It is gorgeous.
I spent 3 days here for a meeting and have done so previously. There is but the one option to eat at this hotel (I do not use room service). Our catered food was excellent as was meals in the Harbourside Grille, but the service was terrible and the servers seemed entitled. Beware of that, but the food is top quality and fair price. Wine and liquor is very expensive. Too expensive.
Waitress was kind and attentive , my main plate was okay... I had steak and potatos, steak was cooked well but lacked flavor. My hubby had lobster mac and cheese and loved it. Appetizer (Calamari) was delicious. View of Boston and waterfront was great . Would recommend to friends and family.
