The view, the sunset, the lights on the waterfront make this a wonderful location for dinner or a drink. We found the Za'atar Chicken and Salmon delicious. The lobster roll and clam chowder very good. The fish and chips was OK, at best. The cheese cake and sorbet good. Sadly the grilled peach dessert , which sounds like a warm peach cobbler, was not. The peaches were not ripe, it was cold, and not tasty. All in all, a very good evening with excellent wait staff delivering to food quickly and quietly, turning on the fire table just as the lights of Boston begin to sparkle. Thank you for such a memorable evening.
Very limited menu, no lunch at all in the restaurant. The meals were not very tasty. We expect more of a menu on the waterfront and in such a nice hotel. Not impressed.
The ambience was great ! I would definitely give 5 stars for the ambience, but probably not for the food or service.
As others mentioned, the restaurant was pretty understaffed -- one waitress was serving about 5-6 tables. Our waitress was not too friendly, but not unfriendly, just okay.
Regarding food -- while we got our clam chowder (as an appetizer) almost immediately after placing the order, it took 40 minutes to get our entrées served. I got the steak-frites and my friend got the crispy chicken sandwich. The food tasted mediocre -- what was slightly disappointing was that I asked for a medium steak but it came pretty well-done. But because I waited too long I didn't send it back, and it was pretty tender for a well-done steak.
I guess this is a good place to grab food for those who are staying at the hotel or those who are willing to pay $30 for a meal for the ambience and to enjoy the harbor-view. But otherwise I don't think, as a visitor, I would return.
The food was very poor.
calamari was way too salted, my fish was over cooked, the pizza looked and tasted like it was reheated.
Great view. But food, food presentation and service is too average. I will not come back.
Felt rush out. The food was o.k. but not for the price. Service also felt rushed.
Experience was great the bartender was the bomb
Even though our room faced the airport it wasn't noisy at all.
Delicious food! Incredible view of Boston Harbor and fireworks!
Good food, great service, nice setting. Wait staff was wonderful!
Excellent view, staff outstanding, food average. Fish was dry and overcooked, otherwise everything else was fine. Prices are a bit steep especially the drinks. But overall a pleasant dining experience.
Beautiful view …. Overall food was decent. This is a place you go to for the view. The food was nothing special.
We hadn’t seen each other since before the pandemic. We were able to sit together, catch up, laugh and simply enjoy each other’s company with out being rushed. It was a wonderful evening. ❤️
Delicious food, fabulous service, beautiful view.
Wonderful view of Boston skyline and harbor. Schedule your dinner at the right time and you can see an amazing sunset. Food was quite good, but not great. I worried about the noise of the airport nearby but we heard one small plane take off the entire time. I will go there again!
Absolutely the best view of Boston skyline and harbor in the entire city! Tables outside, right by walk and bike path, with a few fire pits and comfy chairs or high tables. The waitstaff was exeptional, from the host at the reception area to our server (awesome) and kind and helpful bussers. We felt well taken care of and completely relaxed for a few wonderful hours. The menu had enough variety with 3-4 items in each category: appetizers, soup and salads; sandwiches; and a few entrees - plenty of choice but not overwhelming. We ended up sharing Buffalo brussel sprouts (delicious!) and two flatbread pizzas - the roasted pear, arugula and balsamic drizzle was exceptional. Highly recommend!
My mother in Law birthday Dinner
This may be a “hotel restaurant” but it is exceptional with a perfect view!
Lovely meal! The view was amazing. I wish the outdoor seating had some shade. We had delicious meals. I loved the macaroni with lobster. The lobster serving in my Mac was generous. Would love to come back just for the views.
Harborside Grill is a beautiful location to overlook the Boston skyline. Our waiter Andrew was phenomenal and very personable. We were disappointed that all outdoor seating was taken (come early since it's first come first serve), and he worked with us to make sure we could get outside for drinks as the sun set. Although the menu is a bit limited and the prices on the higher side, the food was very tasty. We especially loved the popovers as an appetizer. Overall, great restaurant and amazing service!
The food is delicious with a great view, the staff Scott, Laura and Luisa where super friendly and professional.
Took my 3 year old son on a very spontaneous “date” on the end of a very rainy Memorial Day weekend.
I noted that I would have a child and that we could be stuck in a corner, as long as we could see out the window on my open table reservation. (I was probably more nervous about this than the waitstaff 😂.) It was my first time taking him to a nice restaurant alone.
My son LOVED the hotel. He’s obsessed with stars, the city, airplanes and playing ‘I spy’, so I thought it would be a hit. There’s so much to look at that we didn’t need to break out YouTube.
The entire staff could not have been nicer to us. Sarah, Vinnie and the other dark haired gentleman server were amazing to my son and I. They gave him a toy soldier as soon as we sat down. There was already a kids menu at the table. As much as this restaurant is not typically geared towards kids (rightfully so!), they made accommodations for us, and it made for a really sweet and memorable time.
I had an awesome salmon dish and he had delicious Mac and cheese.
Food was average. Unless you are sitting outside which we couldn’t due to rain, the ambience is more like train station. Service is great.. the saving grace.
Unfortunately customer service at this restaurant wasn’t the best
Was very nice , food was good and service. Make sure to bring bug spray or sitting outside bugs can be bad!
The Chicken pot pie is AMAZING! Definitely order this if you come here. The outdoor seating is peaceful, the views are gorgeous, and it's a great place to take pictures. I recommend outdoor seating if it's available. However, we had a 7:30 pm reservation and there were a lot of bugs since you are close to the water so just be aware of that.
My wife and I frequent this place. Staff is amazing and makes sure you feel special every time you come. Menu isn’t as deep as some other places, but what they have they make very well.
First time in a restaurant since February 2020. Felt very safe. Highly recommend the Gruyere popovers!
The food is good and the view is amazing. Downside - Lots of screaming kids on their iPads in the restaurant.
Beautiful scenery and great food. Try the lobster roll and you won’t be disappointed. Service was outstanding. 5/5 stars.
Great view on the Boston Harbor, delicious food, nice service. The room looks a bit empty (empty walls), but safe and quiet during Covid times...
The staff was very friendly. Jorge went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and make sure our meal was fantastic.
Beautiful place and view. Wonderful menu, variety and kind staff.
Wait staff was attentive and fast. Food came quickly and was hot and delicious. Large portions. View was absolute breathtaking.
Beautiful view of Boston’s Skyline! Good food & good prices. Parking is validated by the restaurant. The toffee pudding is to die for!!
It was a bit pricey for a small portion of the food.
I enjoyed my time here. The staff were friendly and made the experience worthwhile.
Valentine's Day Menu was amazing. I loved all of the courses and the salmon was the best I've ever had. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Plus, the view is amazing.
Food was great and came quickly. Couldn’t beat the view. It was a little sad how empty it was, but that’s not the restaurants’ fault. Perfect hidden gem for safe COVID dining.
There were only 3 visible staff members but they were all fabulous and working so well together.
