Beautiful location and views, great food and service. But price is out of whack ... just how much for noodles??
Harborside Grill and patio offer Inspired cuisine and a striking view of the Boston Harbor. You can have signature selections prepared with fresh regional ingredients as you overlook Boston Harbor and the city from the comfort of the luxurious dining room at waterfront restaurant in Boston.
We booked in here for dinner to celebrate (quietly) a friend's birthday. The view across the river to Boston was stunning at night. We were served by a very efficient and helpful waiter (Andrew), and nothing was too much trouble for him. Once we had finished dinner he kindly allowed us to move tables to one of the fire pits with sofas where we had coffee and dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food with a fabulous view, especially on summer nights. We will definitely be back next time we visit Boston from Scotland.
I made a reservation for a birthday brunch on Sunday at noon after reading reviews that the brunch here was good. I wanted a nice waterfront location so this seemed perfect. When we got there we were told that brunch ended at 12. I was pretty shocked given that this was not mentioned online for the hotel and honestly, what Sunday brunch is EVER over at noon?
The manager offered us breakfast which was nice of them, but I have to say the only good thing about the restaurant is the view. The view is spectacular. The food was mediocre. While the wait staff were nice enough they were very slow and not very attentive. In fact I felt like somehow we were imposing on the restaurant by wanting to eat there. I had the lobster sliders. The rolls were toasted making them hard and the lobster had no taste. Just not good unfortunately. Everyone else said the food was just ok.
So I was pretty disappointed and I really wanted to like the place. Go for the view but if you are looking for a good meal go elsewhere.
We have dinner and breakfast once each summer at Harborside Grill en route from Logan Airport to Cape Cod, and enjoy the dining experience as much as we do our stay at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. The food is exceptional, as is the outside ambiance and view of the harbor. We especially appreciated the excellent and friendly service from each of our servers, especially Elizabeth M at breakfast.
Excellent overall experience. Our server was solid and the view enhanced the experience. The chowdah is phenomenal great clam to spoonful ratio. Our busser Vinnie was awesome, he made sure if we needed anything we got it promptly.
The drinks were poorly made. We sent 2 back. The price was very high and the food was cold. The view of the city was great though.
Super convenient to meet friends between flights. Beautiful view, very good food and excellent service.
It has a fantastic view of Boston Harbor. The menu is very limited with few meals available. Mostly apps. The food was good, great chowder. The bread is awesome! A little pricey. $5 parking with dining at the grill. Go to concierge for that after dining.
Loved our hotel stay...accomidations were great. However the food was not good. Cold fries..chicken not cooked well,a little pink, salad came late after other food, and the meat on the meat and cheese plate came later instead of together.
Great for a couple. I went for breakfast , The food was not the greatest but we had a lovely time. I like the outside seating
Great view of Boston. Awesome patio for outdoor dining. Very friendly staff. Good food! WE really enjoyed our lunch!
Wonderful! We watched the sun set during our patio appetizer/cocktails visit and I believe it was the best view of the city line ever! The calamari was delicious! Cocktails were very good also! Staff was very courteous and prompt. Lovely evening. Small menu noted. Thanks, Rochelle
Amazing place with wonderful views. Food excellent, service great, location superb.
Food excellent, waiter very good, seated outdoors on a pleasant evening, speed of delivery of meal very slow, Arnold Palmer and lemonade very weak
Need staff for a Sat
Perfect place to have romantic lunch in open fresh air. Amazing view of boston harbor.
Beautiful view of the Harbor. Service was excellent. If you eat at the hotel, parking is comped at $5.00. Actually worth dealing with a Logan Airport trip just to eat here.
Went to watch Harbor fireworks on June 30, and it couldn't have been more fun. The patio was crowded, but our server Jewel was attentive and our party felt well taken care of. Last time, I didn't think to have the parking validated and it was Very Spendy. This time, it was $5! A big win. Thanks, Harborside Hyatt!
It was our anniversary and they treated us very well- exceptional service, good food, incredible view and fireworks!
Never got our food and had to leave.
The outside atmosphere was spectacular. We had hor d'oeuvres and cocktails. The food was not worthy enough to want to order a full meal so we left after a few drinks.
My kids and I took my husband to breakfast there for Father's Day yesterday morning. We were looking to go somewhere that had breakfast buffet with omelet and waffle stations. The menu description sounded great and listed omelet and waffle's made to order. As soon as we got there I knew something was wrong because the buffet area looked so small and weak with no chefs. Turns out that what they mean by that is not what I thought. You order your waffle and omelet by your server and they bring it out to your table. Considering it is called a buffet this was odd. I think they need to be more specific in the description. After placing our order for waffles and omelets we went up to the buffet. We were there at 11am and all the stations were empty. There were no plates, the scraps of the scrambled eggs were left only. The greek yogurt was out. Even the fruit that was set out was in a tiny bowl. We picked up our toast, and sides (from whatever was left) and went back to the table. After 20 minutes of waiting our orders came out. The waffles were about 4" in diameter, thoroughly disappointing! The eggs were small portions as well. Our server was dry at first and very hard to track down for things like ketchup and coffee, he warmed up in time for the check. There was a huge difference in my expectations of this place and what it was. I can't believe Hyatt would operate this way. I have to say it really spoiled our breakfast because all we could talk about was how bad the place was. We had to pay for parking but after validation it was only $5. Also, the buffet is advertised online as $25pp but they've raised the price to $26 and haven't updated their website.
My wife and I were staying in another airport hotel with mediocre food, so we walked along the Harbor walk to the Hyatt. It was a lovely evening around sunset, so we sat outside. There was a wedding party, which was festive but not too loud. We shared tacos with carne asada and arancini to start. Both were fine. My wife had a salmon filet as an entrée, which was quite tasty; my pappardelle with vegetables hit the spot. I had a well-mixed martini with a local gin, Wire Works, that the restaurant was featuring. I wouldn't make the trip across the Harbor just to eat in this restaurant, but if you're at the airport with time for a sit-down meal (and a 10-20 minute walk or shuttle ride from the terminals) and the weather is nice, I'd recommend it.
OK for a hotel restaurant with limited selection. Eveything was pretty good, but nothing exceptional, save for service.
Fabulous View from across the harbor!
If you're looking for a different view of Boston, check this place out! It's spectacular!
It's a lovely restaurant with indoor or outside seating. Fun cocktails - my Blue Harbor, blueberry vodka and lemonade hit the spot on a hot day. I tried the Seared George's Bank Scallops with fruit de mar risotto, tomato fennel broth with mussels. It was out of this world delish! As was the Clam Chowder.
Service was attentive and friendly. They did not rush or intrude at all. The prices are conducive to any Boston restaurant and they have validated $5 parking in a huge lot. A definite place to take family, friends or visitors.
Wonderful view of the harbour. Otherwise bland and ordinary. Restaurant has to be all-day cafe, bar, lunch spot, and dinner restaurant, and since it is open to the hotel lobby as well, it has zero atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable but very plain at the high price.
The food was mediocre and the service was poor. The staff were very unfriendly. The prices, especially drinks, were very high for the limited and quality of food on the menu. The view was great but they wouldn’t seat outside. Not impressed.
We got married here 17 years ago and often come back to dine on our anniversary. We like to eat outside as it is lovely to watch the city light up as the sun goes down. We enjoy watching the scene - people come and go, some with dogs, some are jogging, some with luggage. The seating outside is comfy with firepit tables. Our order got a little bit delayed and the manager and waitstaff were very courteous and accommodating - the manager comped dessert and sparkling wine since it was our anniversary, and even comped parking. We will clearly return, as we have done several times since our wedding day. The food is excellent and the ambience is too. It is a secret gem at the airport!
Service was EXCELLENT! View is great. They are upgrading the furniture which will make the ambiance it impeccable.
My daughter and son-in -law took me for Mother's Day dinner. The view of the Harbor was perfect!Skyline view of Boston wonderful. Food was good but needed some vegetarian choices other than a salad. We had to order lobster mac and cheese without the lobster for my vegetarian daughter and son-in -law.Staff was very nice and accomodating. Lovely patio with little fire pit at each outdoor table. Would highly recommend for special event or date.
Beautiful view of the harbor, not so good syrup.
More menu options for entrees would be splendid
The options that were present on the menu we're okay but would have loved to have more unique options
The staff was incredibly helpful in meeting and seeing our foreign guests through the lobby up to the converted ballroom for a business lunch. Construction initially was noisy, but the outcome will be terrific. THere was a wonderful time allowed for our meeting and meal at one of the tables. Andrew in the dining area was the best server I have ever had. Our German guests will never forget this US hospitality and New England seafood!
Keep up the good work!
Outstanding service and excellent food. The staff truly make this an outstanding dining experience.
GREAT WAITSTAFF....2 DIFFERENT MEALS, EACH LACKLUSTER
The Hyatt Harborside Grill treated us royally. It was our 29th anniversary.
Thank you to the chef and staff.
Good food and great service.
We'll be back.
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated right away. The server came over shortly thereafter and arrived with coffee, but it took quite a while for the tea to arrive.
The food at the buffet was typical of a breakfast buffet; however, not very hot. The strawberry jelly was delicious as was the bacon.
We ordered omelets, pancakes, French toast and waffles. It was all good. That said, I expected some additional offerings.
Regardless, the best thing is the view.
Had a great view of the skyline of Boston while eating.
