Harbor Seafood & Steak Co
We wanted to create a neighborhood restaurant that gives our guests a sense of home. Our menu is based on simple comfort food, where the taste and quality stands for what we believe in. Founded by Randall Curtis & Taylor Jacobsen, our goal was simple: give our guests not only the freshest seafood and prime steaks but also serve an affordable wine selection and great artisan cocktails for only $8. And oh yeah, the music is great too.
This restaurant has all food categories very well covered. We had Seafood and both dishes were excellent. The Fish and Chips were tremendous. The Maine Scallops were awesome and very fresh.
All in all, we were very satisfied with both the food and service.
Every dish was excellent. Beautiful presentation. Helpful and attentive staff. Delicious food. Short ribs, Halibut & their Burger we all dishes we would order again. We can with our young son and the staff was so kind and helpful with him bringing him fries when we sat down to make him happy. We will definitely be returning. Did not sit outside but looked like a beautiful outdoor patio.
The deck is fabulous under lights and grape vines. They fly in fresh fish daily and everything we have had here is wonderful. They also have their own garden and had a squash blossom special appetizer that was delicious-items like that alway change with the seasons obviously. One of our favorite finds so far in SLC!
We really enjoy Harbor, thanks for bringing back the Sunday Brunch. Harbor has a fairly lengthy wine list, however the pricing is high compared to other area restaurants for the same selection; as much as $10 for certain bottles. Expect to have a great experience, great service, good food, but pay somewhat more than a comparable restaurant.
The Fish and Chips were some of the best we have tried. The fish was light and crispy, not overdone or masked by too much batter. Fries hot, crunchy salted just right The Filet Mingon was cooked to perfection, didn’t care for the sides, but otherwise you will enjoy this place.
Our first visit, and many more will follow. Very well sourced menu. Well prepared appetizers (the clam chowder is 5* for Utah) and the seafood and steaks were cooked perfectly and well presented. Excellent service.
The food was awesome! Yes, it's pricey, but very good. The service was excellent. Sat on the quaint patio. Would highly recommend.
The food was excellent and the service was excellent. Greatly enjoyed the evening.
The food was very good. And the service was very good. The price for the meals seem to be a little bit over what I would normally pay for what we had. I would recommend this place for an anniversary but as a regular place to eat it's a little overpriced. Good service. Drinks were a little pricey also.
We first came to Harbor with our good friends and at their recommendation. And we have come back several times since. It is our favorite restaurant in SLC. Wonderful, attentive staff, and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s a bit pricey but completely worth the expense, especially for special occasions. We can’t recommend Harbor enough!!
We love Harbor and it’s a regular spot for us. We’ve never had anything less than a stellar meal and great service. Randall and his team are top notch. Hands down the best restaurant in SLC (try the cheeseburger but with pineapple chutney instead of the horseradish. It’s amazing)
Waiter was spot on . Did come around to bug you but was there when you needed.
First time there. Was a wonderful meal. Will be back.
Wonderful fish and seafood! We enjoyed crab cakes as an appetizer, fresh salads, salmon and scallops (particularly delicious), and a shared dessert. The service from Darius was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable.
Liz was a great waitress.
The food is consistently excellent and the fish is always fresh. It is pricey but well worth it.
The owner is so accommodating and always makes sure to come out and make sure everything is to your liking. The food is amazing and has NEVER disappointed!
Yes, it is expensive. This seems to be a surprise to many diners, so I thought I would just put it up front. $75 per person without wine, $100 per person with wine and maybe more if you get expensive items like the Wagyu ribeye. Know this, accept it, and I think you will like what you get. On my first visit, we had the Wagyu ribeyes, which were truly to die for. This time around, we tried some less pricey options. Mine was the short-ribs, which were pretty average. What was just as good were the sides. I am particularly fond of the peas and pancetta, which has a hint of mint in it. Very good. My son had the filet, which was solid, and a side of mac and cheese, which was very good. We had salads before dinner, which were pretty standard. We did not have room for dessert. This is a very solid place, has a nice patio when the weather is a little less hot or for late evening, and the service is excellent.
I found the prices outrageously high. $28 for fish and chips? $20 for a platter (small) of geasy calamari and clam strips? &45 for steak? $12 for a wedge salad? Come on! $65 per person for 1 cocktail, shared appetizer, and fish and chips! There are better places to dine in SLC. Never going back.
We started with the spinach dip with crab. It was excellent but also rang in at $28 for an appetizer. This was the highlight of he meal. I ordered the halibut and scallops. The 2 scallops were very good but the halibut was very dry and over cooked. My husband ordered the waygu sirloin. It came pre sliced. It didn’t taste like the waygu he had had at other high-end steak places. It was questionably waygu. The meat was also cooked differently. It looked as if they didn’t have enough of one steak so used part of another one. Part of the steak was well done on one side and medium on he other. For dessert we shared the creme brûlée pound cake. It was delicious but I wouldn’t go back just for that. At over $200 when we were finished, it just didn’t compare to Market Street where you get a lot more, better quality, for less. We won’t be back.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was on too strong. We were frozen. If you're coming in summer, bring a jacket.
The staff at Harbor was amazing. The food?? Amazing. Me and my girlfriend had a good time at this restaurant. We will be back. A great place for a date and one on one conversation. We were there on a Saturday. Does that give you a hint? Love this place!! 👍👍👍👍👍
After waiting 15 min we finally had to ask for our server to come to our table. The food was good but I think overpriced for what we got. The menu was limited and no special other than the appetizers.
The Wagyu beef was incredible. I would highly recommend the sirloin.
The food and service was amazing. Worth the higher price tag.
Randall the owner and his wait staff are superb!
the fish and the steaks are always cooked to perfection and the apps are amazing
and they are constantly adding new ones...Harbor Seafood & Steak is a GREAT places!
My husband and I eat out a lot and the food was great, but I thought it was a little expensive. I will definitely go again but will be cautious about what we order. There were 3 of us and the bill was $165 without the tip and that is with only one glass of wine.
Awesome as always! Randall took excellent care of us. We will definitely keep going back. Food and drinks are always amazing!!!
This was our first time dining at Harbo and we were really impressed. The scallops were absolutely amazing!
Everything was excellent with the exception of the Lobster. It was pretty average.
We went to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Cocktails and food were all delicious. Our server Darius went out of his way to make it a special experience throughout the evening. He even moved us out to the patio for dessert. He was extremely gracious about taking pictures of us in both locations. We will absolutely be back for another special occasion.
Amazing! Sat on the patio, where it was cool and quiet. Food was excellent, the dessert to die for.
Wonderful food and great service. It was our first time there and we definitely will be back. Its was my birthday and I was very happy with the evening.
We had a wonderful experience here. The service was great and the food was amazing! Worth every penny. Highly recommend the Maine scallops.
Awesome as always
This place was everything I want in a restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding! The server, Darius, was incredibly helpful throughout the evening. The place was not too loud or busy... It was perfect.
We came in to Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. for an anniversary dinner. Great interior and decor inside. We had made a reservation and we're quickly sat at a nice table. Very attentive waitstaff and our water glasses were never empty. We started with clam chowder, which we asked to share but we're each brought out a bowl and charged for two bowls. Uncool. Also tried the garlic herb bread which looked amazing but didn't have much flavor. They only serve Wagyu steak so we expected high prices. I ordered the 7 oz. wagyu filet mignon and was brought out a 5oz. filet. Also uncool. My date tried the wagyu sirloin. Both steaks were very tender and cooked and seasoned perfectly. We did enjoy the potato au gratin side, however the other sides were just a big pile of peas with bacon in them, dry macaroni & cheese and broccoli with bacon and nuts. Very odd. Our server recognized his mistake after we asked about the 5oz. steak and brought us out a different appetizer to try - Squash blossoms. These are small squash filled with a crab meat mixture and battered/deep fried so that they are crispy. Easily the best thing we tried that night aside from the steaks. Overall, the dinner was okay, but the mistakes made and the prices of the food compared to what you get didn't really add up. I'd only give 3 stars out of five.
Our waiter, Darius, was great. The food was really good and good portions as much better than expected. Though the price was high, I felt well compensated with the portions, service, and environment. This is definitely an establishment we would visit again in the future.
We have been to Harbor Seafood & Steak Co many times and once again they have not failed to deliver an excellent meal and drinks. I had the halibut and my companions had steak. All was cooked to perfection. They have many tasty vegetables to choose from which is different from many restaurants. They have many cocktails that are also very good. I always recommend this place to anyone who asks about a great place to eat.
Service was good. Salads (Watermelon and Butter lettuce wedge) were good. Entrees (Halibut and Salmon) were mediocre. Fish was overcooked, asparagus was over cooked, entire plate seemed like it might have been sitting around in the kitchen for a while. $40 + for the entrees was pricy for the quality. Oh well. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Won’t be returning.
Our first time at Harbor, and everything was excellent in every way. Food and service was awesome.
Only thing I would change is eat on the patio during good weather. So quaint
