Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. opened in August 2014 and is located on the corner of 2100 South & 2300 East in Sugar House. Since then, Chef Justin Jacobsen has been serving quality interpretations of classic dishes with the highest level of ingredients.

We wanted to create a neighborhood restaurant that gives our guests a sense of home. Our menu is based on simple comfort food, where the taste and quality stands for what we believe in. Founded by Randall Curtis & Taylor Jacobsen, our goal was simple: give our guests not only the freshest seafood and prime steaks but also serve an affordable wine selection and great artisan cocktails for only $8. And oh yeah, the music is great too.

Unbelievably great! Everyone at the table said that whatever they ordered was the best they had every had. The Wagyu steak was incredible, delicious chowder, great calamari, fresh fish - the sides are just as incredible! Its a pricey restaurant but worth every dollar.

Great service and the food as always was amazing...drove 18 hours to hang with family for a few days and go to dinner at Harbor...it's that good!

Where to start? My husband and I were seated at a table for 2 right next to another couple. We were so close, it was if we were a foursome as we could hear everything they were saying...making us uncomfortable having a conversation ourselves as they could hear us. I ordered the scallops based on the reviews while my husband ordered the ahi tuna. The waiter tried to up-sell with “extras” that would add a minimum of $15/entree. No bread was served while we waited for our meal. The presentation was nice, but my 2 sides, green beans with hazelnuts and garlic mashed potatoes, had little flavor. The hazelnuts were non-existent, unless you want to count the tiny crumbs. The garlic mashed potatoes were good but I’d challenge you to taste the garlic. We each had a drink, an entree and we split a dessert...with tip, the bill came to over $150. By the way, the prices quoted on the website are much lower than what the menu charges. With that being said, the scallops were exceptional, overpriced, but very enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience was “one and done”. We will go elsewhere for our next anniversary.

The seafood were delivered by air and really fresh. We sat outdoor under grape leaves, it was pretty. Our waiter was enthusiastic and nice. Overall pretty good. The only thing is a little pricy, prob only for special occasion.

Harbor is by far the nicest, most consistent restaurant I have been to and continue to frequent for that reason. The food is more than excellent as are the drinks. Staff is excellent. Location is perfect and the building is perfectly suited for fine dining.

Mother’s Day meal .... everything was superb. Service was cheerful and attentive. 3 people shared Ahi tuna and Wagyu beef skewer appetizers. Scallops are FANTASTIC. The Wagyu steak was superb, the Wagyu Filet was outstanding and we will go back again..... soon!

If you like the seating in a fast food restaurant and close quarters dining you will love Harbor Seafood &Steak...

Good food and great service but you sit so close to other parties that I felt like my personal space was being violated. Conversational privacy is nonexistent. At $40 to $50 per plate I desire a more intimate experience with the party I'm seated with not everyone else in the restaurant.

We love Harbour Seafood for every special occasion. Randall who is the owner is very personable and visits each table not with the canned question “how was your food/visit” but with care, offering recommendations and really getting to know his guests. Darius is our favorite server, well he is more than a server, he cares so much that I overheard another guest ask is he was part owner. The higher price point is worth it, know that your hard earned money and time spent will be worth every penny. Thank you for the many wonderful experiences! See you at the next anniversary or really special occasion!

Went for a graduation dinner, service was extremely slow, we had to ask for a second round of cocktails 2x’s and 2 appetizers ordered never showed up. Dinner took an extremely long time, but was worth the wait. The food was great, table of eight all enjoyed their meals. Would give this place another try for sure.

Food was just so-so. We sat on the outside patio and felt like it was a low budget restaurant with parking lot and street as the view. If the prices were half of what we paid I would rate it much higher but for the prices they charge I would have expected much better quality food and more ambiance.

I have driven past the Harbor restaurant many, many times. Our monthly dinner group decided it was about time to go their for our monthly "Get-together". SURE GLAD WE DID. There sits a gem in the city more should know about. Food was GREAT!, Service was some of the best we have experienced, ambiance was perfect - quite the place. In fact, we kept urging staff & management that they should open for lunch service. This is a voice of a restaurant you won't regret.

This restaurant doesn't disappoint. The 4 oz fillet and sea scallops were a flavorful delight. Clam chowder is amazing as well as the mac and cheese. It is definitely on the pricier side if you opt for the steak and seafood choices, but there is also standard fare - burgers, fish and chips and salads that looked delish. The service was outstanding and the server knew the menu. Another great plus is you can customize your plate with the sides of your choice if something doesn't mesh with your tastes. Great cocktails and good wine selection. The dessert menu could use a few more choices. Will definitely return.

Disappointing. The food was lacking, and it was very overpriced for what we got. Happy to pay high prices for good food but this was just so so. On a positive note, our server was delightful and very on the ball. We loved him!

We ordered the green salad, scallops, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and a lobster tail. The scallops were good, but the beets they came with were drenched in oil. The green salad was a few spring greens with 5 or six veggies on it. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were lacking flavor. The lobster was overcooked.

I wouldn't go back. I was surprised because I've heard good things about this place.

First off the service was on point. Our servers were there when we needed them, but didn't interrupt our conversation. We had 8:15 reservations, so they were out of a couple of items, but for a restaurant that closes around 9 that isn't unexpected. The food was very good, my companion ordered a medium-rare steak, and it was cooked perfectly which is rare around here. I had the scallops and was not disappointing, they were fresh, firm and well cooked. The only slight I have is the cocktails were a little heavy on the ice and not terribly flavorful. Overall I would absolutely recommend Harbor for a quiet conversation, date or other occasion where you want to be able to focus on your company and get some really on point food.

This was our 2nd time dining at Harbour. We were celebrating our son’s 23rd birthday and were not at all disappointed. The food was absolutely impeccable and delicious. From the fabulously fresh, tasty seafood to the beef dishes, not to mention the beautiful desserts & appetizers, you simply can’t go wrong. A bit on the spendy side but worth every single penny. Excellent service, intimate & cozy yet welcoming dining room. This is our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake!!

Driving from SLC to Park City and trying to find something along the route off I-80. Family of 5 including 3 boys 14, 11 and 7. The food was in a word incredible. Everything from appetizers to entrees to dessert was delicious and perfectly prepared. Strong endorsements for: Asiago spinach dip (tip: add lobster!), cheese and charcuterie board. Wagyu steaks were incredible, ahi tuna fresh and hearty, burgers out of this world. Quite the cocktail list but didn’t get anything. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

I will start off by saying the food is great - probably the best seafood is Salt Lake. A little pricey, but that's probably just what it takes to get fresh seafood to Utah.

The place is a little weird - the decor, menus, etc don't match the prices.

The tables are so close together that it kind of shuts down conversation, and is a little awkward because you're forced to eavesdrop on the people around you.

But, the service was decent, and food was great, which mostly makes up for the other quirks.
