Harbor Seafood & Steak Co
Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. opened in August 2014 and is located on the corner of 2100 South & 2300 East in Sugar House. Since then, Harbor has been serving quality interpretations of classic dishes with the highest level of ingredients.
We wanted to create a neighborhood restaurant that gives our guests a sense of home. Our menu is based on simple comfort food, where the taste and quality stands for what we believe in. Founded by Randall Curtis & Taylor Jacobsen, our goal was simple: give our guests not only the freshest seafood and wagyu steaks but also serve an affordable wine selection and great artisan cocktails for only $8. And oh yeah, the music is great too.

All was great!
Excellent food as always. Our sever was Randal who always gors above and beyond.
Menu was very overpriced and steak was tough. We were here last year. Restaurant has gone downhill.
Great seafood with delicious sides. A bit expensive, but worth it. Great serving staff.
As a first timer I enjoyed letting Jordan be my guide. We started with the beet salad, fresh and delicious. My girlfriend had the opah with carrots and broccolini while I dined on the scallops with the spicy green beans and fingerling potatoes. I’ve come to enjoy the beehive gin and they use bottled tonic water, always better than out of the gun. We finished the night off with the pound cake with the creme brûlée top, decadent! The lighting is perfect, the ambience warm on a cold night. The service was spot on, thanks Jordan. And the meal? Well, there wasn’t a bite left on either of our plates. Thanks so much, be back soon... David & Tiffany
The food was excellent. The service was great. The restaurant was loud. My dining partner could not hear me.
Excellent food. A bit pricey. Great service. Overall excellent. I highly recommend.
Excellent Valentine’s Day dinner. Our server was phenomenal
Amazing as always. Randall is fantastic
The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The service was great. We will definitely be returning
This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Amazing appetizers, the entre was unbelievable, and desert was to die for. So happy we went here to celebrate. Thanks for an amazing experience!
The food was amazing.
Delicious Food, very nice location, excellent staff.
We arrived early in the evening. It was quiet -- we had a party of four -- and we could hear each other around the table. It seemed kind of dark but they lit a small candle on the table. Very nice atmosphere -- except we couldn't read the menu because there wasn't enough light. Seriously. Our server fielded a number of questions about items on the menu with excellent information and explanation. We all wanted a seafood cob salad. The description was so inviting. Three of us ended up having the cob. Their clam chowder is way above other restaurant chowders. Get a bowl! You are served part of a toasted baguette but it was much too hard even after soaking in the chowder. Our steaks were excellent -- very juicy and tasty. The scallops were also very good but quite expensive for the number of scallops. Their flavor was enhanced by eating them with the pineapple chutney. The ice cream and especially the berry sorbet were delicious and refreshing. Each entree can be embellished with sides and your choice of several sauces. We thought more restaurants ought to do this, particularly when the options are so delectable. The mashed potatoes are excellent as are the green beans and the carrots. Among the available sauces, again, the pineapple chutney is exceptional. The only complaint -- other than insufficient light to read the menu -- is that by 7:00 p.m., the noise level had risen to the point that we were unable to continue our conversation as a foursome. We had to switch to twosomes. After 20 minutes or so of selective conversation, we opted to leave -- but we otherwise had an excellent evening and dinner and will return again -- perhaps earlier.
Amazing for dates!!
This place is a gem!! The food, service and ambiance were on point. And that they were open on a Sunday evening...such a great experience all around. Will definitely be back and enjoy this wonderful restaurant again! Darius was our server and he was fantastic!
It was a busy Saturday night and the place seemed a little out of control. The waiter left us sitting too long after his initial visit. I liked the format of the menu, with many sides to chose from, but it is pricey. The scallops would have been great but they were too salty. The potato gratin was luke warm and gloppy. Chowder, house salad and mussels were all good. It is curious to have an exhibition kitchen that is so run down looking, with black tubing and old ventilation on display. I'll try it again, but perhaps when it's not so busy.
Our Server (Darius if I remember correctly) was amazing!!! Food was very good:)
Average, uninteresting seafood and steak fare; at perplexingly high prices. Wagyu beef was a nice feature ... but the kitchen couldn’t get the temperature even close to right... medium was a bloody, dripping mess of meat. Not a good sign for a restaurant trying to build its rep on steak. The sides were uninspired and not very pretty to look at. The roasted golden beets we’re just a plate of beets...They tasted good, but you’d think they might get the idea of doing some sort of garnish so that they don’t look so crude. The macaroni and cheese, supposedly one of their signature dishes, was very disappointing – there were chunks of unmelted butter and poorly melted cheese thrown together, without any blending. Dessert was so bad it was funny. It was one of those microwave chocolate lava cakes with a scoop of nearly melted caramel ice cream on the side...they say they source their deserts locally from bakers in Salt Lake City – I’m guessing this one got sourced locally from Costco). Don’t fall for the hype. This is a very expensive and disappointing restaurant.
We love Harbor! My favorite are the scallops and the cobb salad! Excellent ceviche and knowledgeable, friendly service. Don’t let the weird location deter you as the food is tops!
Sooo consistent we keep coming back!!
Some of the best food and service in SLC.
The food was great and our server did well. The hostess wasn’t very friendly but we didn’t have to see much of her. The food was very good. The restaurant started to get loud when it was full. We sat at a small two-person table and it was hard to hear my friend. But the food was amazing and worth it.
Good food and service. Prices were too high for the quality of the food. Ambience and lighting could’ve been improved. Steak and scallops were cooked very well. All food was seasoned appropriately. Table for two was quite small and felt a little cramped. There was hardly room on the table for two appetizers and a couple of plates. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but definitely has some room for improvement.
First time visiting and it was a great evening. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were AMAZINGLY delicious! We could not have asked for a better experience. It is a little on the pricey side but we understood that before we came.
Christmas Eve dinner was delicious. The decor was classy yet festive. Thanks for a great family dinner.
Fantastic food! The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, but the winner at our table was the Korean short rib - simply amazing!
Best restaurant in Salt Lake City. Whole team is amazing and food is amazing.
I had a 4 oz filet with lobster tail, au gratin potatoes, and brussel sprouts. The sides were delicious, lobster was perfect, but I ordered my filet medium and it cane out well done. My husband ordered the wagyu ribeye steak with the same sides. His steak was unexpectedly a poor quality cut with a fair amount of sinew. He ordered medium and received a rare sear. He could not eat his steak, but enjoyed the sides.
The service was very good. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about all of the entrees. The restaurant is very noisy and it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Overall, with the poorly cooked steaks and noisy atmosphere, we will not return.
Great, as always. By far the best steaks in SLC - far better than from the better know steak houses.
Good food, well prepared, great service, nice vibe but very busy and noisy even on a weeknight.
Absolutely excellent!. We have never had a bad meal at Harbor. Randall and his team always provide an amazing and diverse menu, a top shelf wine and liquor menu, and a to-die-for dessert menu. And because he is so committed to providing the best experience for his patrons, Randall often works as wait staff, making each of his customers feel like they are the most important person in the restaurant. Highly recommend.
My Wagyu sirloin was maybe the best steak I’ve ever eaten! Our server was also very attentive and super friendly.
The food was fantastic, worth every penny. Our server Missy was the best. It was a wonderful evening for my wife and I. We can’t wait to go back.
I was craving some fresh seafood, found this place on yelp. Customer service was fantastic! Had the oysters and clam chowder for starters, I had the seared scallops, my husband had the halibut and we switched out both sides except for the beets. It is a little steep for prices, that is only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars, and I just felt like more sea salt could have been added to the dishes. But there is no salt at the tables so that was the other reason.
Harbor is great for ambience, food and cocktails. I’ve only had great experiences at Harbor since they opened. I refer all of my friends and family if they’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just for dinner.
