Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. opened in August 2014 and is located on the corner of 2100 South & 2300 East in Sugar House. Since then, Chef Justin Jacobsen has been serving quality interpretations of classic dishes with the highest level of ingredients.

We wanted to create a neighborhood restaurant that gives our guests a sense of home. Our menu is based on simple comfort food, where the taste and quality stands for what we believe in. Founded by Randall Curtis & Taylor Jacobsen, our goal was simple: give our guests not only the freshest seafood and prime steaks but also serve an affordable wine selection and great artisan cocktails for only $8. And oh yeah, the music is great too.

Disappointing. The food was lacking, and it was very overpriced for what we got. Happy to pay high prices for good food but this was just so so. On a positive note, our server was delightful and very on the ball. We loved him!

We ordered the green salad, scallops, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and a lobster tail. The scallops were good, but the beets they came with were drenched in oil. The green salad was a few spring greens with 5 or six veggies on it. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were lacking flavor. The lobster was overcooked.

I wouldn't go back. I was surprised because I've heard good things about this place.

Excellent seating for the disabled. Food always just out of this world. I tell my wife we are going to dinner and her reply is always "the Habor?" We love the restaurant and bring a different couple every time we come so they can try the excellent fare.

First off the service was on point. Our servers were there when we needed them, but didn't interrupt our conversation. We had 8:15 reservations, so they were out of a couple of items, but for a restaurant that closes around 9 that isn't unexpected. The food was very good, my companion ordered a medium-rare steak, and it was cooked perfectly which is rare around here. I had the scallops and was not disappointing, they were fresh, firm and well cooked. The only slight I have is the cocktails were a little heavy on the ice and not terribly flavorful. Overall I would absolutely recommend Harbor for a quiet conversation, date or other occasion where you want to be able to focus on your company and get some really on point food.

This was our 2nd time dining at Harbour. We were celebrating our son’s 23rd birthday and were not at all disappointed. The food was absolutely impeccable and delicious. From the fabulously fresh, tasty seafood to the beef dishes, not to mention the beautiful desserts & appetizers, you simply can’t go wrong. A bit on the spendy side but worth every single penny. Excellent service, intimate & cozy yet welcoming dining room. This is our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake!!

Driving from SLC to Park City and trying to find something along the route off I-80. Family of 5 including 3 boys 14, 11 and 7. The food was in a word incredible. Everything from appetizers to entrees to dessert was delicious and perfectly prepared. Strong endorsements for: Asiago spinach dip (tip: add lobster!), cheese and charcuterie board. Wagyu steaks were incredible, ahi tuna fresh and hearty, burgers out of this world. Quite the cocktail list but didn’t get anything. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

The food and service were very good. The seafood is flown in daily. Since I was there last, however, the prices have gone up substantially. I would only go there for a special occasion now.

I will start off by saying the food is great - probably the best seafood is Salt Lake. A little pricey, but that's probably just what it takes to get fresh seafood to Utah.

The place is a little weird - the decor, menus, etc don't match the prices.

The tables are so close together that it kind of shuts down conversation, and is a little awkward because you're forced to eavesdrop on the people around you.

But, the service was decent, and food was great, which mostly makes up for the other quirks.

Warm and genuine greeting. Very accommodating to all our wishes. Expected steak to be excellent which it was but the sides were also excellent and plentiful. (They care about the vegetables ). We’re east coast close to water and happy that seafood was very good as well.

We have now been to Harbor twice for dinner. Both times the food has been perfectly prepared and the service top-notch. I can't really speak to much on the menu aside from the crab mac & cheese, 4 oz. filet mignon and the scallops. Truly delicious!! If for some reason I ever ended up on death row, I would want those three Harbor-cooked items for my last meal. So good!!

YOU WILL LOVE THE FOOD. My wife and I were in town visiting some family. I was mulling over several options including Spencer's & others. The inside is very well decorated and quaint. The tables are very very close to each other...so keep the gossip to a minimum if you're concerned about anyone overhearing. The wait staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful for any first timer. All of their seafood is 18-24 hours out of the water, and flown in fresh.

APPETIZER
My wife ordered the Mac and Cheese w/crab and I the Wedge Salad to start. The Mac and Cheese did not disappoint with delicious flavor and plenty of crab meat on top. The Salad, was well...a salad - not much you can do to mess that up.

ENTREE
For our entree I ordered the 10 oz Wagyu New York Steak and added the half lobster tail with a side of their mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I am probably one of the most critical eaters you will ever meet. The food was plated very well. After my first bite of steak, THIS WAS MY FAVORITE MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD! I am not exaggerating when I say that. I have been to many restaurants both on the high and low ends of the scale. The Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, with a great char and seasoned perfectly. The lobster tail had plenty of meat on it and was served with a traditional butter dip. It was not messy at all and easy to get all the meat off the shell.

My wife ordered the 4oz Filet Mignon with an add-on of Scallops and a side of butternut squash and cauliflower. The steak as expected was cooked correctly as well with a great taste. The first scallop was cooked a little too much, but the second was cooked perfect and had absolutely great flavor. The sides complimented the entrees very well and brought it all together.

Overall, it was a great experience with great ambiance, great and attentive staff, and THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD in Salt Lake. If you have any doubts, don't - Just Go!

My son was in town visiting from college and I was looking for a great steak in a comfortable setting. Friends had recommended the Harbor, but I had never managed to go there. I found it listed among the best places in SLC for steaks, even though it is primarily billed and recognized for its seafood. We were fortunate that they had a special Wagyu ribeye, and it was spectacularly good. We found a favorite red on the wine list and had three ribeyes. The sides were also great, especially the fresh peas with pancetta. I liked the roasted potatoes and my son raved about the brussels sprouts. We had spotted a distinctive bourbon on the menu and had a round of pours after dinner. Our waiter appeared with a complementary ice cream selection to share, which was exceptional with the bourbon. Great, attentive service that noticed when the water glasses need filling and that ice cream would be appreciated. It is not cheap, but great value. Great evening anchored by some exceptional steaks. I will be back.

I read numerous reviews and most were positive. Turns out the ones that said this place was awesome were right on the money. Christopher was called out as an excellent waiter, he served us and it was great! I eat at some of the best restaurants in western North America and I will bring clients here. Excellent service and amazing food. WELL DONE!

Peas w/ pancetta and the cauliflower are so good. Atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. Half booth was comfortable. Service was excellent. Our water and drinks were always full.
