Harbor Lights was great - - as usual. We come back time and time again.
This was our first visit to Harbor Lights. It is a beautiful location right on the water but that seems to be most of what this restaurant has going for it. The accoustics were terrible. It is just one big room and it was very loud. I will say the servers were lovely and polite and gave us good service. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner. The appetizers our group ordered were fine but the turkey was awful. It was some of the driest turkey I’ve ever eaten. And no cranberry sauce or gravy to soften the blow. In addition, I thought $490 (including tip) for 5 people was pretty steep, even with 2 drinks each (for 4 of us - one person just had water). We will not be returning.
Food and service were very good. Reservation was for 4 people and when two of us arrived we were not told that the other two people were already seated. They found us at the bar waiting. Following that, the rest of the dining experience was very good. The next day I rec'd an email from Open Table telling me the restaurant had canceled our reservation because we had not shown up. I then sent Open Table a message to correct this, which they did, and I rec'd an email
Best experience ever. Delicious food, wonderful service and amazing view!
We had a family celebration at Harbor Lights before Thanksgiving. Our party ordered the pear salad, a dozen blue point oysters, shrimp cocktail, the halibut, and the seafood stew. The kitchen also made a lovely vegetarian risotto at the request of the vegetarian in our group. Everything was delicious. We also ordered Malbec and Pinot Grigio and they were very good too.
Harbor Lights never fails to please. The food is always delicious and the water views are delightful.
Loved my entire experience. We had late reservations and were the only people there however, we did not feel rushed at all! The food was AMAZING!!! Definitely going back!
Some of the best food around Fairfield County. Great ambiance and excellent food - - service is the best - - we love this place and return very often.
Went on a Tuesday night which was perfect as it was not crowded and my elderly mom and friend could hear! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Even got a bottle of wine 1/2 price, which was an added bonus. I recommend going during the week when it is quieter, unless you are looking for a busy atmosphere! Great service as well.
What a great find! Delicious food, beautiful view, & great service.
My friends and I had a super wonderful time. It was my birthday. The waiter was really nice and with his French accent, very sexy :). The food was outstanding. We just felt so comfortable. Then three desserts were brought out to celebrate by birthday. The fondant was delicious! It was just a great night overall. Thank you for making it special.
We have been to Harbor Lights several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent. The service is always professional and very nice. The location and ambiance is great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is truly a gem and I'm glad it is in Norwalk!
We enjoyed our dinners very much. Would have liked some pre-dinner bread for the table - Maybe next time. Our server was helpful and very attentive. Lovely evening.
The food was great and the atmosphere inside is very nice. It’s in a great location, wish they had some lights on the water now that it gets dark so early because the view is wonderful.
It’s been around a while but is very dependable in service and feeling updated. The food was extra good on Friday when we ate there.
I like the view and the service, as well as good seafood and Greek specialties.
Been many times before!! Love it..great watching boats n water. Food always good.
Great view and service. Food was nicely presented and tasted super
I WENT THERE WITH MY WIFE FOR CELEBLATING OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND IT WAS VERY ENJYOABLE WITH NICE VIEW AND FOODS. GREEN SALADA'S DRESSING WAS FANTASTIC. I WILL COME AGAIN WITH MY KIDS SOON..
We planned on meeting friends visiting CT from CA and asked around for some good suggestions. Our neighbor recommended Harbor Lights so I made that suggestion to our friends. When I called her, she said that that was the restaurant that a friend of hers also recommended - so we decided to try it. It was wonderful! Food was great, the view was wonderful and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back again!
Beautiful spot. Good food. Nice people
The restaurant has a pretty view of the waters since the dining area is all windows. They also have a nice outside patio.
The food was vey good ... the key lime pie was the best I have ever tried...
We haven't been here in a few years because the menu was stagnant and the food was just not that special. But because of the great view, we put up with it for many years. But on this most recent visit we have to say the food was definitely much better, though the menu still hasn't changed much in the past 20+ years. We will definitely start going back more regularly.
Oveall it was okay. It was quiet as it was lunchtime. Food was okay. Nothing I would run back to.
I was lucky and pleased to get a table for two only 24 hours ahead, for a Sat night at peak time. I was very well taken with the food and our waiter was excellent (once he arrived). The wines by the glass were unremarkable. It was a peak serving time, but we had to wait too long to (1) have drink orders taken, (2) have the bread arrive, and (3) have used plates removed before the next course. I would recommend but only for those who will buy a bottle(s) of wine, not by the glass.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced.
My friends and I were seated immediately after being given several seating options, both inside and out. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. The ambiance was delightful and the price quite reasonable. So many great options on the menu -- I will be back.
Consistently good meals. Definitely sit on the veranda
I've never had a bad experience here. Even our waitress, who seemed a little inexperienced, was just lovely.
Special get together with friends. We had an excellent waiter, can't recall his name but he was French. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the pan seared salmon with lemon risotto which was delicious. A couple of our friends had the oysters rockefeller and loved it. We all enjoyed our meals, the service and the view.
The food was excellent and our wait staff person Christeen did a great job.
A test of a restaurant is would you go back and the answer is a resounding yes.
Everything was fresh & cooked to order. Delicious
Food was excellent. Our waiter was very Courteous and Friendly. Recommend having the Greek Wine.
The place was just ok. Our waitress was brand new but did an adequate job. The place is priced like a higher end restaurant but without higher end food or service. Our red wine must have been 80 degrees. I asked to have it but in a bucket of ice for 5 minutes.
Brought my wife there for her birthday dinner. We both like dining near the water. The menu had a nice variety and was reasonably priced for water front dining. My wife had oven roasted sea bass that she loved. I had a steak that was prepared perfectly. Good wine selection. The staff was friendly and our waiter, Sebastian was very attentive and wonderful. We never felt rushed. We like to enjoy a glass of wine before ordering he caught on to that and made our dining experience fantastic!! We will be back
Lobster roll was not as good as in years past , salmon with rossotto was outstanding
Service was very poor. Our server was assigned to large parties in the rear (we were in the front) and she was totally overwhelmed and inexperienced, though she tried hard and it was not her fault. The two hostesses were worthless and did nothing to expedite service or ask how everything was. Though on the water, the scenery was more parking lot on one side and marshland on the other. One of the ugliest decors I've ever seen, very unappealing. Food was very good but overpriced. group next to us was very loud and crude, probably all drunk.
Not a pleasant place to go. would never recommend.
Food was tasty. My and my husband's portions were small. Our friends who had 2 other different entres were ample. My husband was actually hungry when we left despite appetizers. He usually is more than satisfied when we go out.
This was an awful experience...
the service was absolutely horrendous. Server brought my wine before our water and forgot my husbands iced tea. But she brought bread before the drinks came out. Wasn't told about specials. Servers demeanor was weird. We couldn't understand anything. Then I had some reaction to my dinner. Maybe undercooked tuna or burnt sesame seeds? The food was not worth the money for sure. Maybe a teenager cooked it?
Delicious seafood, very good service, nicest tables in warm weather are on the patio, down by the water, a beautiful spot for dining, conversation and watching the boats glide by! Our dinner there felt like a mini-vacation! We will be back and bring friends! Large windowed dining room on the water is appealing too.
Looking for a place that offered outdoor dining, preferably on the water. Perfect spot!
