Our server, Heidi was and always is wonderful! The lobster sandwiches, clams fries and key lime pie were great!
Lobster over cooked, sat at table 20 min before server came. Then another 20 min wait for drinks. Will utilize other Bartolotta restaurants and avoid this one.
Lobster Palooza was worth the drive on a very snowy night!! Excellent Service & wonderful meal as always!
I took my wife to the Harbor House for her birthday. We’ve lived in Milwaukee for 5+ years and have always wanted to go. We were definitely not let down. I was impressed from start to finish. The valet was polite and fast. The servers were very personable and knowledgeable on the food/drink. The food was great. The GM even came out to ask how everything was.
Very pleasant experience.
We ordered a 4 pound lobster and the tail came all chopped up, there is no way the amount of meat came from a 4 pound lobster. The claws came in tact and were large but the amount of chopped up tail meat was very disappointing. We have had lobster in the past and it was very good, don`t understand why we didn't receive a whole tail.
Had the King crab legs/steak combination... The crab was sweet and tasty. The steak was cooked to perfection and was like buttah! The pièce de résistance was the amazing potatoes... Yes, potatoes. Creamy, rich, buttery... The best!
Started the meal with an amazing Wedge salad. One of the best in the city!
Finished the meal with flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a berry sauce that was so good that I almost licked the plate!
We had a great time, delicious food as always. Shout out to Shey on her great service!
The staff was very friendly and service was awesome! The food is amazing!
Very happy with their service. Food is fantastic and consistent. They even gave us complementary desserts for our Anniversary celebration. The wait staff was great.. over all great experience. One of our avourite place. We even had our wedding reception here. So that says it all. !! Keep up the good work.
My wife and I each had the scallops and we both loved them. Excellent. Tasty. Cooked right.
We try to treat ourselves for our anniversaries - this was our 42nd so we booked a table for 2 - after we were seated I noticed a nice looking young lady sitting there (he beau was in the rest room) - upon his return and just a few feet away he dropped to one knee ans pulled that infamous box from his pocket and pooped THE question. I am not one given to emotions but it stirred even an old hard heart like mine , of course my wife was all smiles and may have shed a tear. She asked them if they wanted someone to take a picture so they gave her his phone and she took several. I , in the meantime went to find their server and put a C note toward their dinner check. It was just a coincidence but a great opportunity to pay it forward.
Table for 2 was so small. I asked for a window table and was given a table in the middle of the walk way. Felt cramped. It was noisy. Food was not hot. My wedge salad was outstanding. We will not come here again.
service was great however food was expensive and mediocre. Small grilled shrimp, small serving of vegetable/potato and small cut of meat for $43.
Probably will not be back.
Requested a window seat and was not given one.
We love dinner at Harbor House. This time we came for lunch. The simple mesclun salad was lacking flavor and very oily. The sautéed shrimp were over cooked and dry. The French fries on my husband plate were the best thing, and even they needed to be warmer. We are sad to say we will not be back for lunch.
Have dined at Harbor House many times and each time it seems to get better. Have spent some very memorable times celebrating different occasions the last of witch spending time with my grandson home from college for the holidays. It doesn't get any better enjoying family while dinning on fantastic food. Can't wait for our next visit.
Harbor House is a treasure....great service...exquisite sea food.
Slow & Inconsistent service, food just Ok prices too high for average quality- the view of lakefront & quiet ambiance best part of this lunch
The service and food are always excellent! I frequently dine at the Harbor House for both business and pleasure. The views of the lake and the city are amazing. Harbor House is the perfect restaurant to take visiting friends, business associates and relatives.
The three of us split the scallops and the rainbow trout. Both dishes were awesome. Cosmo and Old Fashioned cocktails were excellent. Paul and Nick were extremely attentive servers and very friendly. The flourless chocolate cake was a nice birthday treat on behalf of Harbor House. Couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more! Thank you!
Thank goodness for Harbor House, it sits at our two jewels in the crown -- Lake Michigan and the Calatrava.
The parking situation was not so good. It was mandatory valet parking, unless you wanted to walk a considerable distance (potentially very far away) to have “free” parking. I could see the point of having valet parking if it didn’t have a dedicated parking lot, but they do which is right next to the restaurant. I have no problem walking 50 feet to park my car, but I do have a problem paying someone else to do the same thing for me.
The service was good, the food was great, and the views of the lake are really nice. I look forward to going back.
Had a nice booth where you are part of all the action but not in it. The other tables are very close together. When tables are being servced, waiters butt's will be almost touching your table, but if you don't mind that you will enjoy your evening. Food is very good, and atmosphere and habor views are outstanding.
This was our first visit to Harbor House. The food was exceptional and the ambiance was very nice. Would highly recommend
Good seafood with prompt service. It can be a little loud but still worth the visit. I will say they had a GREAT choice of oysters from the west coast which I believe are far superior to east coast oysters
Celebrate moving to Milwaukee
Really, really loud with little dine on the part of the restaurant to mitigate the noise.
Always awesome! This is one of the best amongst many great options for dining, but the views and atmosphere is unparalleled.
wonderful restaurant - food, service and overall experience was excellent. Worth the long drive. Will return and bring friends.
Liked it! The crab legs did get salty after awhile, the ones that were on the bottom of my plate. Overall, had a great time! Will be back :)
Absolutely top five restaurant in the city of Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin !!!
We were overall very happy with our visit, however I believe prices are a bit high and we were deeply disappointed when we found two vehicles parked in handicap spots and the ramp space as well.
After asking that my one pound lobster be shelled, I was dismayed to see how very little the portion that was served to me upon a bed of vegetables. I am not able to finish a one pound lobster and usually take the other half home.
Pleasant evening for a birthday party
An absolutely fantastic experience. Wonderful staff. Very accommodating to special dietary needs. Worth every penny spent. It’s the kind of place that you can make what you want it to be. A romantic date on the waterfront or a fun group outing for a special occasion.
I have been here before and enjoyed it quite a bit but this visit was nothing special. The food was great but our service was less than stellar. With a team of waiters I wouldn’t expect to sit with empty glasses, have a server who took our dessert order come back and ask if the other server took that order and have another couple to get seated and complete their 3 course meal all in the time we were through our entree to when we paid our check. Very disappointed in this aspect. I paid a good deal of money to not have to sit there and wait for so long and be seemingly ignored.
First time visiting the restaurant and it was a very good experience. Food and service was very good. Had desert on the house (celebrating birthday). Definitely will return. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time as it gets full very fast.
Food was great. Service was great. Views were spectacular
We've always liked Harbor House for a celebratory place and for its food. On Saturday we had a good celebration. Two of us had the Bronzino and we were VERY disappointed. The fish was very bland (no herbs or flavorings at all) and overdone. Not at all like the times I'd had it previously, when it was flavorful, moist, and deb one by the server. And the vegetables that came with it (some soft roasted potato pieces and a few tiny bits of cauliflower) looked pathetic and had bad texture and little taste. Come on, Harbor House!! The other two of us had filet with crab cakes and filet with scallops and the vegetables were great. We were celebrating an anniversary, and the complementary desserts were nice. This place is LOUD - - - part of the ambience - - - so be forewarned. And do not get the Bronzino unless they tell you they have gone back to doing it the way they used to!!!
