Great local restaurant, always consistent with quality of food and service. All the dishes prepared with care. Excellent value for the price.

Absolutely the best fish selection in South OC in my opinion. The open flame charcoal flavor on all the fresh fishes is second to none. Live piano nightly is great!

If you a vegetarian this is not the spot to go. There oysters were delicious and there salad was good. I enjoyed the atmosphere and great customer service.

Would have given 5 stars , but we arrived and they did not have our rsvp or table ready. We had to wait 20 min.
We were seated and our server was great. The smoked halibut app was yummy. HuBand had the lunch combo cup of chowder and lobster roll. Delicious.
My fish and chips were a bit greasy .
We frequent HG and first time our table was not ready when we arrived.

Harbor Grill is doing it right with social distancing and all servers diligent with masks. They are not serving indoors, but in partially covered protected outdoor spaces. While not entirely “outdoors” since there were 2 solid walls plus plastic on a 3rd wall, we felt safe. We were impressed when our waitress offered many vegetarian options which were not on the menu.

Amazing! Famous unique dishes!

We were sat right when we arrived. It took a bit for the waitress to come around due to her being the only server and the hostess for outside dining. My scallops were perfectly cooked but the noodles were over cooked and the sauce was so much that there was no other flavor. My husband had the swordfish. The glaze on it was amazing but the swordfish was so dry it was like eating canned tuna. My son ordered the chicken strips and they were not even real chicken it was pressed together chicken formed into strips like from McDonald’s. The whole bill was 145$ and if it wasn’t for the atmosphere of Dana point and our very cool waitress I don’t know if we would return. It was a cool experience though.

Always a great plate of food since 1984. Service is solid and grab a table upfront if you can for people and boat watching.

My wife became ill Last Thursday night DEC 3. She ate the Miso Glaze Sea Bass and thats what made her sick. We eat there weekly for the last 2 years. She never gets sick. She spent the entire night on the toilet and shes sure it was the Miso Glazed Sea Bass. I hope you take this and other feedback and figure out the cause. We are old enough to know what made us sick. You meal cost her an entire day to recover. We wont be back soon and I only hope you know what caused it. Mark and Juana Licata. PS she never gets sick.

Arrived for reservation on patio and were seated around corner in back. Felt may be not as well attended to but was not the case at all. Several heaters had us plenty warm, coats off on a chilly nite even as we stayed late. Food was delicious! They've got winter patio dining figured out. Scallops with red curry and angel hair instead of rice, yum!

The service and food was excellent. The hostess and waitress were great.

Even during our Governor's attempt to close many businesses, the Harbor Grill has been doing a great job staying open, if only outside. Their food is always great and the service is fantastic. Eager to return again and again.

I had lunch with my best friend , and we truly enjoyed sitting outside ( socially distanced )Table . The service was exceptional , and we were able to sit and feel uncrushed. Cant wait to go back.
