Hanover Street Chophouse
I’ve waited years to come here and it did not disappoint in the least. I had the marker steak and my boyfriend had surf and turf. He could cut his filet with a fork, one pass honestly! It was melt in your mouth delicious. The crust on the steaks was amazing!! Wine list for days. Our server was attentive and friendly. We will be back for a special occasion once again!
As always the best place for dinner!
A great restaurant (steakhouse primarily) with super service and outstanding food. It’s pricey, but expected for the level of food and service. What more can be said?
The Hanover chop house never disappoints !! This is my favorite restaurant. A taste of Boston without going into the city. The staff is fantastic, from valet to servers !! We had Kris & he was very attentive without being annoying 😊. I definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion, even for just a night out.
I am a regular diner at this fine establishment which rivals similar well-known steakhouses around the country. All of the employees, from the valet parking gents to the waitstaff, are exceptional. (Basil is my favorite.) I don’t even eat meat, but I always leave very satiated and extremely satisfied.
Was very accommodating to switch from a booth to a table. They had the floral arrangement set on the table as requested and they even had a surprise Anniversary dessert.
Couldn’t ask for a better dining experience for our special occasion.
Food was excellent. Ribeye and scallops and Filet and lobster tail were both excellent. Creamed spinach was like a dessert. Great peanut butter torte with cream and several layers. Ceasar salad could’ve used a bit more dressing.
Shrimp cocktail was awesome with cocktail sauce and horse radish and a green goddes dip as well that was yummy.
Our server was wonderful and very engaging. Worth the investment for s special 40th Anniversary treat!
Really good atmosphere, friendly staff, exceptional food!
Food and service was great but was disappointed with our seating. I made my reservation four days in advance and at that time, I requested a booth due to the noise level. When we arrived, I confirmed that we were being seated in a booth but instead was given a table right next to the piano player. We requested a table change and were accommodated but not to a booth as we previously requested.
Dinner as always was outstanding!! Basil was very knowledgeable and Timely. My brother in law got the KC strip special and it was impressive. The star of the night was definitely the dessert, of course... Butterscotch creme brûlée! The happy birthday plate for my niece was an extra special touch as well! Overall amazing and I will continue to come back time and time again!
My husband ,who is close to 60 ,said he had the best steak he ever had at the Hanover St Chophouse!!
Great service and food, we will be back😁
While the restaurant did have a "Happy Anniversary" card on the table when we arrived, it would've been nice if they had comp'ed the dessert. On a $350 dinner bill, giving us a $10 dessert for free certainly would not have broken the restaurants income for the night.
Loved everything about Hanover Chophouse! The food, champagne, the decor - it was great. Sunday dinner menu is fabulous too!
Richard was an excellent server!! Our food was delicious!!
Came for my husbands birthday. Arrived to find a little “happy Birthday” sign at the table. Nice touch! Service and food was top notch. My request for a piece of chocolate cake arrived just in time after dinner! Thank you for making his night out special!
No complaints food was excellent. Perhaps more cream in the creamed spinach than I care for but other wise it was fine. Would return..
Excellent steakhouse and a great find in New Hampshire
Always loved the chop house. On our last visit we did not have a good waitress she was very snippy. The pork chop was raw and so fatty. And the creme Brule was soupy. First tine we did not enjoy our meal. The dinner was to celebrate my daughters birthday. Won’t hurry back
We have dined here a number of times. We went on a Wednesday to celebrate our anniversary. It was understandably quiet. The service was excellent and very attentive. We both ordered steaks which we don't usually do but they were excellent. My husband cleaned his plate - must have been the bacon maple bourbon topping. I took half of my food home for great leftovers.
The Chop House is a nice treat, the food and service were very good, but it is expensive.
Solid place with top quality servers. It's been several years since we have been and the quality was unchanged..top notch.
This restaurant is spectacular!!! My wife and I love to visit this location to have a incredible meal. From the Parking Attendant to the immediate seating and the outstanding service from the restaurant staff, they made my wedding anniversary a wonderful evening.
Love th Chophouse, particularly for special occasions. Had our anniversary dinner here and it couldn’t have been better. Baze provided *outstanding* service, the meal was excellent, the pacing was spot-on, the ambience delightful. If you’re looking for a special night, this is the place!
Wonderful dinner with friends. Try the Sunday 3 course fixed price menu. It was awesome and a very good value!
Audra had been so accommodating. Actually, from the valet to the hostess to Audra and the wonderful people behind the scenes making our meal, it had been a fantastic anniversary celebration. Thank you!!
The food and service was amazing! They also had a man playing the piano and was taking requests. Very impressed with the wine and drink menu as well. I would recommend the Hanover Street Chophouse to anyone, it's a must try!
Went to Chophouse on Saturday, 9/1 with a group of six, it was two of the groups birthdays. We were treated extremely well from the minute we got in the door all the way to when we left and said good bye.
Our server, David, was very attentive, personable and knowledgable about the menu and wine list. Any questions we had he was able to answer and all the food was excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked to proper temp. We had steaks and prime rib, it all came out hot and delishious. Sides and salads the same.
Cannot say enough about how great this meal and dining experience was over the top, everyone left knowing we want to and will be back.
Don't miss going to the best restaurant in New England when you visit, you will be happy you did!
This is my favorite restaurant for celebrating our anniversary. Wonderful food, excellent service and a cozy ambiance. We have never been disappointed. I always have a filet mignon and this time my husband had the rack of lamb, which he said was fabulous.
Very disappointed with the quality of the pork chop - it was tough. They used to serve kurobuta pork, but have changed to a lesser quality pork. Also was confused by the scottish salmon dish that turned out to be a warm piece of salmon on top of a cold salad. Nowhere in the menu description did it say salad.
Best steak ( Poterhouse au Poive) I have ever eaten!!
This is one of the best restaurants in southern New Hampshire. Our party of two was there for the three course prix fixe dinners that they offer on Sundays for $40. We both had clam chowder to start. It was the best that we have ever had anywhere. Wouldn't mind the recipe. We followed that with the 8 ounce filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. That was served with smashed potatoes and a medley of summer vegetables. Our server Rachel was friendly, attentive, and helpful. In other words, she was great. We couldn't finish with dessert at the restaurant so they packaged it up for us to take home.
Everything was delicious! Our waiter Dave was the best!!!!
Did not a acknowledge the anniversary as the special occasion
went on 8/25/18 - 7 people - to celebrate a birthday. Very nice looking place. Food was very good - most of us had the 8 oz filet - all cooked to perfection. deserts were good. Meghan was server and she was very good.
One complaint - they have a piano player - we were seated close and was difficult to hear - the piano player was good but in my opinion takes away from the meal / celebration because it adds too much noise. The value of the meal / drinks / deserts is excellent. Well worth going to - perhaps putting the piano player in the bar away from the dining room.
Parking perfect, hostess pleasant, table near piano bar very nice.
Waitress was fair more interested in taking care of friends of hers at another table. Steaks good, mashed potatoes sloppy, drinks overpriced, have been to HSC many times, hit or miss too often for premium prices
Never disappoints food and service are outstanding
Good food, good service. The only special thing was the gluten free rolls for my wife. The restaurant was dark, especially on the stairs to the restroom. I prefer other Manchester restaurants, e.g., Cotton.
Love this place!
Great place, great service, great food. I can’t wait to go back.
Our favorite restaurant. The food and service can’t be beat. By far the best in the area.
