Food was excellent. Make your reservation though early, when I first tried, Monday for a Saturday night wasn't enough. Made it 3 weeks in advance this time
The service and ambience were perfect! Very pleased with the dining experience from arrival to departure!
The food, drinks and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it.
Great food as always, though drink orders were incorrect. Fortunately the waiter was friendly and efficient. Sadly, the hostess was rude, and even though the restaurant was half empty, attempted to seat us at a table that was right next to where you entered. When I asked to sit somewhere else, the hostess said (rather snottily) “if you’d like.”
Simply the best restaurant in Southern NH
My wife and I had a date night at the Hanover Street Chophouse last Thursday. Our server Laurie was truly exceptional and friendly from the moment she greeted us until we wrapped up our evening. The appetizer, salad, and the main courses were all prepared perfectly. We each had a mixed drink from the bar which were great. We split a dessert and both had cappuccino to finish off our meal. We were never rushed and Laurie made us feel both welcomed and appreciated. A great date night was had!
Great Birthday dinner! Staff was so nice and accommodating. Very nice experience.
The Sunday menu has great value and still delicious! I highly recommend it.
We had a party of 6 and all ordered different items from the menu and everyone was delighted!
We went for my birthday dinner and as always they didn’t disappoint. Excellent service. The food was delicious. We are already planning a return trip!!!
Literally the best filet anywhere. Every time it’s cooked perfect. Service is always great. If your going to spend the money you want to make sure it’s worth it. It’s worth it here.
Surf and turf was cold, but otherwise very tasty.
Always amazing food as good as any steakhouse I've ever eaten at.
The Hanover Street Chophouse is consistently outstanding!
Great atmosphere. Our server was just okay. He was a bit too reserved. The food was great but it took a very long time to get served and it had to go back because it came quite rare instead of medium rare. The people next to us were very displeased with their meals and were making a fuss. I’d prefer bet to be exposed to that kind of bad energy.
Ambiance was spoiled by a woman loudly engaged in an argument with someone on her cell phone then storming out of the restaurant in tears. Food and service was good but this incident spoiled the entire evening. Unfortunately, the serving staff/restaurant management did nothing to try to quiet her when she was screaming and shouting loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear her and notice what was going on.
We went on a Sunday dinner for 4 people - despidida dinner. This place never disappoints.
Two had the 8oz fillets cooked perfectly. Caesar salad reported to be outstanding. I had the clam chowder. Excellent but a little to smokey for my taste, probably too much paprika or made with smokey bacon not salt pork (preferred) as I'm a award winning chowder chef. Plenty of clams and potatoes as should be with minimum flour. The other diners had scallops, which were excellent but the wild rice bed not cooked enough. And the chicken parm was reported to be excellent. Desserts where to die for, choc mud cake and creme brulee. All in all still the best dinning in southern NH.
I left a message for the establishment as part of my Tripadvisor review.food and service was as expectedly excellent. However that experience was offset by an argument with the valet attendant - I poo raker in a handicapped parking slot and was told I couldn’t park the as it was reserved for valet customers only and I had to give my keyfob up and my vehicle would be moved.. NH RSA 259:69 expressly prohibits any one from parking in a designated handicapped slot and a business has no authority to deny the use of a designated slot. The establishment owns the parking lot but the state of NH regulates the use of designated handicap slots.
Because if the argument and treatment, reinforced by the individuals at the front desk, our experience over all was below par from many prior experiences at the Chop House. Also, the Chop House was very noisy to a point whereby my wife and I found it difficult to e gage in a conversation. That being said, this was the first time we had a reservation on a Saturday night.... we ont do that again. So the quiet dining ambiance wasn’t anywhere the usual experience. When a premium is paid for dining, I expect more as previously experienced.
Excelente, very good place to have dinner
Everything was amazing, as per usual! HSC remains our fave date night destination!
as good as any NYCity steak house
If you dont understand what that means you probably would not appreciate excellence in all phases of dining
I wish the Piano player started at 5:00
Service was excellent. As close to a Boston fine dining experience you’ll find in New Hampshire. Only downside was that our seating was next to a large party in a semi-private room. The noise level was quite high.
Celebrated another Birthday. I've lost count of how many times we have been there. I'm repeating myself but it was another great experience. Highly recommend. We will be returning many more times.
The HSC is by far the best restaurant in New Hampshire and superior to many in the Boston area as well.
Always a treat. Great food & service. Sundays seem a bit busier as more diners come for the special deals. Already looking forward to our next visit!
The neighborhood to approach the restaurant, figuring out the parking lots, is "scary" as my wife would phrase it. It was Sunday afternoon and a number of street people were hanging out in the alleys. If you enter off Hanover Street, you don't really notice. Their parking, without valet service is poor. It would be better to have restrooms on the first floor for convenience and ease of use. There is an elevator, but dining on the main level makes the use of the restrooms a time consuming excursion. Our waitress, Jill, was wonderful and I highly commend her for excellent service and her savoir faire. The restaurant was just a little bit too dark. The Sunday $40 three course was an excellent price point. We would go back again.
Waitstaff was phenomenal as well as the food. Will be returning.
Everything was perfect.
Fantastic place for a romantic night away from the kiddos! Pricey menu- but you get what you pay for. Food was excellent. Hubby’s steak was a tad undercooked but they fixed it and everything else was perfect. We will for sure, be back!
Took the kids (12 and 14) here for their first time, they loved it!
Excellent meal, Great Service, a little pricey but well worth
The food was very well prepared and portion sizes were perfect, although pricey, which was expected. Great service and even better food!
Just fabulous. Server, Sydney, was sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was superb!!!
Tomato bisque was fantastic, chicken parm was to die for! Filet came out a little undercooked initially, but the chef himself personally returned my plate to the table with a steak cooked to perfection! The waitress, Sydney, was extremely kind and attentive. We will be back!
Repeat customers and have never had a bad meal. First time the service was sub par to say the least. Waiter became overwhelmed I believe with the 5 tables that he had in the alcove. After entrees were brought over he became inattentive and never came back to check if everything was ok. He did lavish all his attention on one table where he obviously knew the patrons. Eventually we asked for the check and left.
Excellent food. Drinks and service
Always a good meal
Our first time at Hanover Chophouse and it will not be our last. Everything from start to finish was just wonderful. Our server, Agatha, was very professional and attentive. The ambiance was very nice, and the restaurant was immaculately clean.
