It was a lovely evening with delicious food and tasty drinks from their bar. I ordered a surf and turf(steak, lobster tail). Most people who eat here I'm sure eat medium steak, I'm a well done girl. It seems to be wasteful I know but I'm very picky with no pink. My meat was served medium but I didn't bother complaining or sending it back, the salad, tail and drinks were good enough. My husband ate the steak so it didn't go to waste. We were happy regardless and will definitely go back.

What a wonderful place for us to celebrate our son's and new daughter in law's birthdays! The service was attentive, informative and personal. The rack of lamb was perfectly delicious as was the steaks. Our conversation quieted as we all appreciated our sumptuous meals. I actually heard my 32 year old son moan as he enjoyed his steak. All was perfect! Thank you.

The filets were outstanding, however, the lobster bisque and clam chowder were a little bland. The "tater tots" were also a bit bland, and seemed pre-made or "processed". Punch up the flavor and/or provide some choices of sauces to accompany them.

I"m sure high end restaurants don't like to risk their reputation by making changes to things that have always worked, but diners these days are looking for more extreme flavors and more options. Not necessarily more main courses, but more ways in which to enjoy the traditional fare.

The dining experience was excellent. Service was quick and attentive. We also had a surprise with the early meal special that had all our favorites on it.

Comfortable restaurant, friendly efficient staff. Filet mignon with lobster tail was excellent. My husband had rack of lamb which he also enjoyed. We did not feel rushed at all. We took our time with cocktails and appetizer (shrimp cocktail) before the main course was served. Finished the dinner with coffee and crème brulee.
A bit pricey - but great for a special occasion. we will definitely be back .

No need to travel to Boston or New York City for the best steaks anymore. Hanover Street Chophouse is a true gem right here in Manchester that will not displease. Bring a thick wallet as the prices are pretty steep, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for! I recommend this over any other restaurant in the area and I have been to them all!

Valet parking team was superb. Maitre"D was warm and welcoming. Wait staff kept a vigilant eye on customers without being interfering and interrupting. The whole experience lived up to the price, including the dinner. Our steaks were cooked to perfection the first time. I liked that they gave normal portion sides instead of overfilling the plate. We topped the meal with the dessert sampler. We each chose our favorite and the chef chose the rest. Excellent ending to a perfect night.

We went for New Year's Eve dinner with a prix fixe menu. It was a 4 course meal and I my husband I made different choices for every course and we both loved everything we ordered. My only regret is that I couldn't enjoy the dessert course more because I was too full to eat it. There was a live band but it was quiet enough to be able to enjoy conversation while still appreciating the music. The service was outstanding. It was a little pricey but worth the money and it looks like there are reasonable prices for the lunch menu. We will definitely be going back.

Three of four of us were not meat eaters. Our food was good but not up to the caliber we thought it should be for such an expensive restaurant. Breads were boring. Our server was not very attentive. My salad was rather bland.

I had multiple fiends recommend the Hanover Street Chophouse to me as a nice place to take my wife for our anniversary. I found the restaurant to have a very nice atmosphere. I found the service fair as our server was hardly around our table which was on the lower deck. Our server seem to catered to his tables on the upper deck. Being his only table on the lower deck, he seemed to forget about us. The other tables around us had different servers that were very responsive to their guests needs and check with them often. The appetizer, bread, steak, shrimp and scallops were good, but took a long time to get to our table, again I believe the server forgot about us. Don't think I will be back.

Everything was wonderful, the onion soup was excellent as well as the steak, box lunch and salmon. My husband had a Vermont sandwich, unfortunately it was just okay, a little dry and hard to eat, but still flavorful.

I was there last FRi night 12/27/13 for a celebratory dinner with my twin sister and the woman working behind the bar needs to stop paying more attention to her friends at the bar and more attention to other patrons at the bar. I had to ask several times for more wine, more water and more attention.

This bldg was an old bank and the conversion is great, warm & comfortable. And the food...exceptional. There was not a disappointment in any of the plates we had. Special app= lump crab salad..delish, tuna tartare, so fresh. We all had a different version of the filet, cooked perfectly and the added toppings, great choices. We only had room for one desert and that was the Red Velvet Torte, big enough for four people to have a few bites! Would highly recommend this restaurant, we will be returning.

Husband & I had a romantic dinner for two for our anniversary. We drove 2 hours specifically to eat at the Hanover Street Chophouse. This was our second visit. Well worth the trip. We traveled from an area that has a plethora of fine restaurants, but we chose the Hanover Street Chophouse because it outshines our area restaurants. Most of those closer to us cram people in like sardines. Not the case with HSC. We were able to take our time and enjoy ourselves. Thank you.

My husband and I have started a new Christmas Eve tradition- early dinner at the Chop House.

The service was over the top, the food fantastic and the atmosphere great (albeit a little chilly on a cold day).

I have been to the Chophouse several times, and it's always excellent! I brought my younger daughter and her boyfriend last Christmas and they loved it! This year I brought both of my daughters for a birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was great! The Prosecco and Cabernet were perfect, and all four meals were cooked perfectly for our individual requests. We have decided to make this a yearly tradition!

I have been to this upscale restaurant several times over the years since it opened, and I always enjoyed myself. Lunch is a different story. It is over priced, the menu is on par with a burger pub and the food is not that great. Service was good.

Parking is a challenge. The lot was full, the valet would not take the car, and I had to park on the street a block away. This is unreasonable when you consider the alternatives in Manchester.
