Hannah's off The Square
Shrimp & Grits

panko herb crusted eggplant layers, blue crab meat, parmesan basil cream, local radish sprouts
We've eaten here many times and is always delicious. We had brunch on a Sunday after being open after virus closings for weeks. The food was good but not the usual "amazing" that we usually get at Hannah's. We ordered Bloody Mary's and did not care for the bitter taste of the mix (too much Worchestershire ?) I ordered my favorite kale salad and it never came - but they took it off the bill of course. I think everyone is a bit rusty and we forgive them for this. Eager to get back to "normal" with over the top food and service.
We always have an incredible meal at Hannah’s! The service is impeccable and the food is second to none!! It was perfection!
We arrived earlier than our reservation but were seated immediately and the service was outstanding from the start. I had the Chicken Saltimbocca and my date had the Tuna and they were both excellently prepared.
Will definitely be back!
Always a wonderful experience at Hannah’s! The food is amazing, the presentation is amazing, the staff is amazing and chef is always making sure everything is on point!
excellent service with great food. Enjoyed the vegetarian meatballs and kale salad. Highly recommend
The Chicken Saltimbocca was fantastic. The service was great as well.
Scallops were a little overdone and the filet wasn’t flavorful. For the price I expected a much better tasting meal.
The space is warm, welcoming and comfortable. We were greeted as friends, even though it was our first time to visit. Our waiter was polite, professional, and knowledgeable about various menu items. He was friendly and attended to our every need as if it was truly his pleasure to be working there and assisting us at our table.
The food was all delicious. The two people who had the tomato soup as a starter declared it the best they'd ever had. My beet salad was fresh and just the right combination of ingredients. All of our entrees (lobster pasta, steak, pork, and chicken saltimbocca) were perfectly prepared as requested and the accompaniments to each were perfectly matched, sauced and seasoned.
We were very impressed by our first visit to Hannah's during our first visit to Denton. We will definitely return both to the restaurant and to the charming Denton square area. Thank you!
This place was recommended by friends who are music PhD students at UNT. We went early to dinner, prior to an opera performance. Their recommendation was spot on. Attentive service. Good recommendations made by our server. We'd gladly go back next time we're in Denton.
The atmosphere was very nice and quiet. The food took a while to come out, but it was spectacular. We will definitely be going back!
Wonderful service and food. Easy parking!
Absolutely fabulous brunch from start to finish. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back the next time we are in town.
Hannah's is ALWAYS fantastic! This is our go-to restaurant for our Anniversary. Hannah's does not disappoint!
Outstanding evening at Hannah’s. Our server was Jordan and he was excellent; attentive and informative without hovering. Food was, as always, perfectly cooked and presented. Hannah’s is hands down the best nice restaurant in Denton.
Ordered Flounder over risotto. The fried fish was old tasting and the rice overcooked. Inside were supposed to be snap peas but I saw only two. The other dish were scallops also with risotto. I've found that inland restaurants have a hard time getting the genuine product but I know how they should feel, taste, and behave after cooking. Whatever this product was it wasn't what I expected. Fresh scallops crack at the edges and have a fairly firm texture. This serving was akin to blubber. My expectations were not met here.
Food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive. A great experience as usual.
Food was excellent as usual. Service was both attentive and professional. Drink menu is superb. Hannah's is a Denton gem!
Wine, bread & starter were wonderful. Main course, just so so. It's a shame that restaurants have to
charge you for bread. Think this is a cheap shot....
Service was excellent. Tenderloin was overcooked. Martini was terrible and not as specified when ordered.
Great servers and the food was amazing! Several options for vegetarians/gluten free, and a nice ambience; good for conversation. Wait staff is very knowledgeable about the menu, and more than happy to offer good suggestions. Would highly recommend!
Excellent Service and an amazing meal!!
The Service and Food was Excellent
Food was good. Nothing was outstanding. Service was consistent. Again good not outstanding. Ambiance was ok. Wouldn’t rush to go back.
Excellent service with great menu options. Fine dining in Denton, TX!
Our favorite place to dine in Denton, the calamari reminds us of Barcelona.
Great birthday dinner celebration! We love Hannah’s and have since moving to Denton 15 years ago. Fabulous wines by the glass selection - never disappoints my husband who loves wine. We had scallops, calamari, lamb shank, numerous wines, and a wonderfully crafted old fashioned. Adam was our server and he is perfectly attentive.
The appetizer was excellent, so we were really looking forward to our meal but it was disappointing.
Expensive for lack of quality. Not to mention $17 glass of house wine!!
I often visit Hannah's for business lunches, but this was first time for a dinner.
We arrived later (8ish via OpenTable reservation) and were immediately taken to our table. Somehow there was a miscommunication as to who our server would be and oddly enough other servers did not bother to deviate from their tables to check in on us.
We waited about 15 minutes without any contact and were about to flag someone down when one of the hosts made mention to the manager. She immediately rushed to our table, apologized for the error and offered to comp our bottle of wine. Thereafter the service was (as usual) delightful and the meal was as promised with inventive recipes, fresh ingredients -- spiced and cooked to perfection.
Hannah's gets our vote every time. A wonderful experience (and astute correction).
Did not know Denton and found this on Open Table. Food was innovative and excellent. Very pleasantly surprised.
Very impressed with the food, having had plenty of dining experiences the quality and preparation of the food is top notch and tastes as good or even better than it looks! Always impressed with Hannah’s so much so that I make sure to bring friends from Dallas and Austin and even as far away as Boston and Chicago!
We took our adult granddaughter & a friend for her birthday celebration. Liked the "casually elegant" ambience. The meals & deserts were all very good. The only nit to pick is that we wished the lobster bisque soups had more lobster bits in it. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience by all!
Has potential BUT....
At this price-point you expect more focus on the little details. Food is outstanding BUT portions are too big. It is not possible to enjoy a 3-course meal without overstuffing yourself. Good quality bread should be a basic meal starter BUT here it is an extra for $1.50... that is a little petty at this price-point. Ambiance of the building is nice and the restaurant is a cut above average.
Tristan, our server, was friendly and professional. I had the lobster roll which was made to my liking. After many years living in Maine, I am always skeptical about this dish. Hannah's used the correct bun and the lobster was plentiful. The choice of the chicken soup added to my enjoyment. Drawn butter is always a plus. My friend enjoyed his chicken sault in bocca.
Service was TOP NOTCH and the food is uniquely wonderful. We have been here twice and both times had a fabulous evening. A special place.
Best meal. We were celebrating my birthday and the food was perfect along with the drinks. My go to restaurant for special occasions. Love them.
Good place for a quiet romantic evening. Food was just “ok”... my husband and I both really enjoyed it but it was not the best meal we’ve ever had for the price we paid. He enjoyed his ‘Auld Fashioned’ cocktail but the steaks were just subpar. Won’t be back, not because of service or value but just because it is nothing to write home about.
I have just moved to Denton and I've been to Hannah's five times and each time it has been wonderful. The service if wonderful, the food is fantastic and everyone is very friendly.
It is a family tradition to visit Hannah's for dinner and then attend the Nutcracker. This year was just like all the others - PERFECT! The food and wine were great. The service was fantastic and was timed appropriately. Our server knew that we had plans and made sure that we made it on time. We will be back!
Overall a nice restaurant and dining experience. Entrees are thier strong suit here
