Great selection on menu. The only negative is that we were charged for bread (were not told there was a charge when we ordered). Having said that, though, the French baguette was delicious.
I was very disappointed in the service. It was slow and the wait was too long and we were not checked on very much. The wait between courses was inordinate. After waiting at our table for close to 30 minutes after finishing our meal we had to get up and find someone to expedite ending our visit.
What an unexpected surprise to find this gem in Denton! Absolutely worth the drive for any occasion!!! New favorite for sure.
Sunday brunch with husband & friend. As always the food was fabulous
Hannah's used to be our "go-to" for a nice dinner. The portion sizes have diminished while the prices have stayed the same. The scallops, for example, used to come with a side of risotto. Now, no side and fewer scallops. The value has decreased. The pear salad was wonderful and the Happy Hour can't be beat. Just don't come too hungry.
A wonderful place for an afternoon to enjoy great food and great weather. Outside seating area was quiet and tasteful. Many selections on the menu and the appetizers and entre's we selected were very good. Would highly recommend.
I took my wife out for our wedding anniversary and was more than disappointed by out experience. This was our first visit and the service was so inattentive that it seemed we were purposefully being ignored, our creme brulee was overcooked to the point of being grainy throughout the custard, and food presentation overall was sloppy.
My wife and I go here when we like something that is more upscale and has an ever changing menu according to season. We both got the Hunters Grill and it was fantastic. Adam was our waiter and he did a splendid job.
Have a great time
This was my first time at Hannah’s and i was truly blown away. We made our reservations through opentable and had no problem getting seated immediately. Our table was already set up and ready for us. The room we were in was beautifully decorated with delicate plants and lights. Our server was so nice and gave us a brief history of Hannah’s, as well as a great walk through of the menu. Our server let us know that because of the style of cooking it would take about 30 minutes for our food to come out and asked if we would like some bread in the mean time. When i say that this was the BEST bread i had ever had i truly mean it. The baguette was crunchy on the outside while being soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right amount of salt. If the bread was this great i couldn’t wait to see how the entrees would be. The entrees can be described in one word. Wow. The braised short rib absolutely melted in my mouth. And when eaten with the horseradish mashed potatoes and string beans, it took on a whole other level. I have literally been having dreams about this dish since that night. My friend got the vegetarian meatballs and we shared the pome frittes (truffle fries) Every bite of everything was better than the next. Some may say that the prices are a bit steep, but i truly believe that it is worth every penny. If you leave hungry you didn’t do it right. It was a whole experience, one that i will never forget.
I thought that the food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Small portions, left still being hungry. Time between the appetizers and entrees, entrée and check took way too long. When we made the reservation and when we walked in we mentioned a birthday and it being our first time at hannahs/first birthday to celebrate while living in Texas. No mention of anything. We left feeling very let down, and that we should have went elsewhere.
My sister and brother-in-law, here from Arizona and house hunting, wanted to have brunch. I took them to Hannah's where Haley waited on us. He had the Hannah's burger which he enjoyed. My sister had the flank steak and eggs. She said that the meat was tender and the eggs done to her request. I had the migas--both bountiful and tasty. Haley was charming, patient, and helpful. We three plan to return.
We always enjoy our experience at Hannah’s! A true gem tucked away in Denton Square. Impeccably made food, wonderful drinks - just lovely. I had the scallops with a blue crab risotto that was delish!!
Amazing food and very diverse menu. Absolutely deplorable service. Never took away dirty plates. Getting a refill on a drink required multiple requests. For being a nicer restaurant, the service is severely lacking.
Hannah's may be off the square, but is totally on for a great dining experience. We love this cozy spot in downtown Denton; the food is always exceptional, the service is stellar, and the ambiance is inviting. The patio is awesome, too.
Food was cold, all 4 entrees. By the time we ate we were over it all. They didnt even respond properly, just that our food did come out of kitchen in a timely matter. They seemed to think it was our fault and we were just complaining.
Love this place - been here too many times to count. The food is excellent. Service needs a little training on being attentive.
We've been to Hannah's several times, and it keeps getting better. They not only have great food but amazing service as well. While I miss their daily specials since they were always amazing, the regular and seasonal menu has great choices. And the staff couldn't be better. It is our favorite go-to spot when wanting a great meal or to impress guests.
Hannah's is a wonderful experience! whether you are just going for the appetizing boards they have for starters with a cocktail, or their amazing selection for dinner, this is a gem of a restaurant for sure. Staff is friendly and very attentive, never had to wait long for anything! I've been here several times and it surely becoming one of my favorites in the Denton area! Highly recommend!
birthday dinner. service and food excellent
The big issue that I have trying this for the first time is as follow
The couple we went with asked for 3 different appetizers, they were either sold out of or did not have them! Seriously 3 in a row, that makes no since on a Saturday evening, we were there at 7:30 pm. He also had to keep going to the kitchen to ask if they stilled had that choice available! Annoying ! either change you menu or take off seasonal items.
The food overall was very good, I had the tuna which was excellent and my wife had the Chicken Saltimbocca which was good.
I will also complain to the manager, they need to train their wait staff, we had to set the empty wine glasses off the table to the next empty table so they would be removed form our table, also had to do the same with our empty cocktail glasses as well once empty. When your waiter leaves the table when he or she is serving food or other, they should take away empty glasses or plates.
This is a more $$ stile of restaurant at least I think it is! Some waht disappointed !
Always awesome! Creative dishes with yummy sides. Everything is tasty!
I was back for brunch. As usual, I had the scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a baguette. It was all good. Reagan, my server, was friendly as she has been on prior occasions. She fixed me a Tito's screwdriver which I enjoyed. As my schedule allows, I plan to return for brunch. I have enjoyed lunch and dinner at Hannah's before.
The service was good , but the food was just average. Add that to the almost hour wait for a wedge salad, and overall the place will not get my money again.
For the money, there are 50 restaurants in DFW that will do a much better job. Wil not reccomend
Been here before, usually great. One plate food was lukewarm , other hot.
We had an amazing waiter named Timothy! He recommended a fabulous wine and the service was above and beyond! Dinner was fantastic! Great date night!!
This is a place I love to visit when visiting Denton. My wife has a medical requirement for gluten free good and they are wonderful at providing food that is safe (and delicious) for my wife to eat --including GF bread!
Simply awesome! Very tasty and well prepared food! Unique in Denton area!
Have dined here many times over the years, this was our first "less than ideal" experience. It took forever for our brunch to be served and when it finally was, all 4 of our entrees were cold. The same great flavors were there, but it just wasn't the same. Probably just an off day, but we're taking Hannah's off the list for a while.
The food tasted great but the service was very poor. I had noted on my reservation that it was an anniversary celebration. I expected the server to acknowledge our special event, but she said nothing. We were never asked if we wanted another glass of wine or if we wanted dessert. We waited 15 minutes for our check and had to ask another server to bring us our bill.
The young man (sorry I don't recall his name) who served us was excellent -- he paid enough attention, but was not intrusive; he suggested a very good wine; and he was fun to talk to -- it doesn't really get much better than that!!
Cocktail supposed to have Luxardo cherry, did not. My two orders of same cocktail varied greatly in quantity. Bread plate taken away without asking if we wanted any. Over an hour to be served entree. Food was delicious. Offered 1 free dessert coupon because of wait, why not 2? There were 2 of us. Manager threw cook staff under the bus and said part of the wait was that the cooks didn't know how to cook the new menu. Hannah's used to be our favorite restaurant but the past few visits have been disappointing mostly because of service.
wide variety of excellent choices. many options to choose from we have eaten here three times and have had something different each time never disappointed service consistently above average
I love the breakfast breads at brunch and the migas are delicious
This was a post-Christmas lunch with my granddaughter who is home from Fordham U. My d-i-l was with us. Sarah, our server, was friendly but not obtrusive. The food was good. I have enjoyed lobster rolls in Maine so it is not fair to compare. Hannah's was good, nonetheless. In the future, however, I will select other items.
I’m a loyal Hannah’s patron. I am always impressed by the service, food, and atmosphere.
Menu read fantastic. However it overwhelmed the kitchen even in a non crowded restaurant. Our 55 minute wait time was ridiculous. Running a $500 tab got no real excuse or repose from staff. Probably wil not return until reviews show better service.
We've never had a bad experience at Hannah's.
Went for our Anniversary. God was wonderful. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
This was not our first time there. The food and ambiance on previous visits were much more enjoyable. The menu selections seemed delicious but the food didn't live up to the menu descriptions.
